Tainted Maggie can deal crazy damage by running directly into enemies and that can carry early floors if you’re careful with health. She’s strong for speedrunning due to that fact.
quick summary of t maggie: her first 2 heart containers are normal. Your health will drain from the rest of them periodically (the drainable hearts never take away your deal chance tho) touching an enemy will cause maggie to retailiate with a melee attack. killing an enemy with tears has a chance to spawn half a red heart which will disappear shortly after. The chance is guaranteed on melee kills. your yum heart heals 2 hearts instead of one.
While you can certainly play Tainted Maggy as a regular character, she is absolutely a melee powerhouse. Sure those temporary hearts have a chance to drop on shooting an enemy, but running head-first into them(you do take damage from this) unleashes a very powerful melee attack that guarantees a heart to drop on the enemy death. Then you use the invincibility frames from taking damage to run into more enemies and drop even more hearts. Net result is that you can gain much more health in a single room. She also gets double healing from items such as the Yum Heart she starts with
FYI Soapy. Blank Card only works with cards now - the item description reflects a previous version of the game where it affected both. The Hierophant mimic changed the number of cleared rooms to recharge Blank Card because the recharge time varies depending on the card last used.
You can 'restart' a run with the R Key item found in secret rooms - you keep all your items but go back to the start. With it and some good luck finding more(or rigging more via Victory laps), it is possible to beat every single end boss in the game. Just note that The Beast fight ends the game immediatley, so that should be done last
Just so you know, you will still keep your devil/angel deal chance if you take damage on the "bleeding" hearts (the one that are flashing), you will only lose it if you take non-self-inflected damage on the solid hearts. And devil deals are usually not recommended on t. Maggie

I would highly recommend tainted keeper. Probably one of the most fun characters in the whole game

You should always read the description on tainted characters because some of them have VERY different mechanics than normal characters
cant wait until he gets tainted lost and tainted jacob! They are the most fun characters in the game!
One of the big changes in Repentance+ is that a Void portal spawning after ???, The Lamb and Mega Satan is no longer a chance, but always 100%
if you are playing t.magdalene sharp plug is broken (even better with some on hit effects) so try and look for it when you play her.

should've gone for mega satan. it gives good unlocks when beaten as t. characters. also maggie and isaac give some of hte best unlocks from greedier
