Great review! I'm in the midst of my second season with the WG761 and it has been flawless. I managed to get a whale of a deal on mine and the US version comes with the 5ah Worx Pro batteries. My only critique would be that it's power hungry. The included batteries get my yard to about 75%. Fortunately I have batteries from other Worx tools that I can use to finish it out. I don't use the self propelled feature at all.

Very interesting I know our yard sizes in the uk are smaller but my front is 100²m and rear is about 1,000²m and I am often left with 2 bars of battery, I do find blade maintenance is necessary with these and a small amount of dulling has affected the smaller ones hugely, nearly the difference between 40% battery depletion on the wg779 and 2 full sets (nearly 3 times the juice!) I really want to try it with a aftermarket oregon blade and see what that does :-) I fear the safety start up function might dislike it :-/

If Worx is snooping around for ideas and feedback, in addition to adapters/accessories for the Base Camp I'd also love to see a PowerShare transfer pump and SDS+ rotary hammer! =)

Thanks for this review, I appreciate it, I am going to purchase one of these today. I already own quite a few Worx tools, and they just sent me a 25% off coupon to use today, so I am going to take advantage of it and order it now

Mike, does Worx UK sell any kinds of accessories or adapters for the Base Station battery pack? They don't here in the US, and I think they're missing a big marketing opportunity to increase the utility and versatility of it. Things that come straight to mind would be a 12volt car cigarette socket style adapter, and a small AC inverter for a start. Thanks!

I'm sure somebody from worx has a snoop round my videos and the comments to get a feel on future product wants and needs :-) I have to admit I am glad the interface port is unique in house and not generic, I would certainly have made some kind of inverter by now for sure! 80v and 4ah in the uk means easy potential for 400w of juicy run time on something big, or a burst of even more power, maybe even nearer 1,000w! :-) though run time might start becoming an issue..... :-/ I do think they need to do more with the base camp system, there is a whole world out there of possibilities!! I don't know if you have seen my 12v project box hack but that with a juicier dc/dc buck regulator has potential for a small 240v (110v) AC inverter. I need to go component shopping again :-)
