    I can tell this buy it! Hes not sgowing this tool fully, you can cut twice bigger branches. You push button twice and it will do the job. It may even get stuck as stuff you cut is basically firewood. Others like makita dont have such power build machine than you take in hand you know it has metal parts not those cheap china crap. Milvakee made it wrong makita took tgat cheap china style weak part. This no. Its made perfect. My mom is pro in gardening, all life works with plants. She liked it. So she easily cut 3 times biger branches than in video shown. You click couple times and it will do job. It may go in wood too deep and get stuck so simply push down all tool, tool has good quality plastics

      Buy it bro, they either sell tool alone or with one 2ah battery and charger seen for 198eur. You may find cheaper. Worx seems won in this tool. Makita choose cheaper version, milwake made horible tool. Worx did great my mom pro with plants loved it. She started pruning 3times biger branches than in video with my very old bateries. 1,5ah battery ok, but pick 2ah battery same size bigger battery too heavy. It will easily cut fingers. If branch is big click coyple times and it will do the job. Also ir has option to make scisors biger or smaller useless iption not using. Open fully. Irs with button to cut. Buy great tool.

      @kevingadson9315 2 years now solid 24/7 running, I can report back it still works very well, it does make some funny noises every now and again and seems to be dropping a degree or so on 30°+ days in the van when left on batteries, internal is still in great shape me and my wife have cycled somewhere near 200 soft drink cans a month through it, I have distributed about 20 cases of water on hot days to my team and it also has done our camping holiday last year in Wales, and once as a substitute freezer when ours needed defrosting, all in all I have worked it as hard as is physically possible, I dint think worx ever expected someone to run it for 2 years 24/7 maybe occasionally but never constantly! :-P I did Need to defrost it once when I put in some very warm cans and it created a huge amount of condensation that then froze. Other than that a monthly wipe down with a microfiber cloth sees it great.

    Son an old retired engineer here, its a vernier calibre not a micrometer. Still an excellent video thank you.

    • @mikesptworld
      @mikesptworld День назад

      i was always taught a micrometer is like a horse shoe with a screw going through the top with about 99% made by moore & wright, and being about 50+ years old; place material uder screw then screw down and take your reading, a vernier caliper is a sliding jaw set with either digital or manual reading it has ability to measure external, internal as well as using the tail to measure depth too, they are tpically less accurate than micrometers being only accurate to within 1/100th of a mm where as a decent micrometer can be as accurate as 1/10,000th of a mm.

    I wish this had a wand attachment that way I wouldn’t have to bend over so much when vacuum the shop floor. What’s the inner and outer diameter of the end bit? I wonder if some generic adapters might work to let you use wands and attachments from other vacuums.

  • @teegees
    @teegees 10 дней назад

    Thank you so much for this detailed review. Wish you’d gone over the emptying part though. I do see a major problem which is that it really needs a hose attachment as that will solve the angle and maneuvering issues. Without a hose attachment it would be very difficult to use it in cramped spaces and your car. So unless Worx comes out with a hose attachment, this is a no deal for me.

  • @AutoGleamTruths

    Hi Mike, I've been having a bit of a problem with my Worx lawnmower. It's the big one, it's the 80 volt. Now, the problem is, there's a link to a video here that you can view and see what you think. Now, one thing I will say is, when it's low grass, the motor is revving up, which it shouldn't be. And even when it's sort of like, I haven't cut it and I'm going across the grass, it's also revving up, like it's overdoing itself and it shouldn't be doing that. In the video, you'll see that as I'm going along, the mower stops and I can't start it. What do you think about it? Later Steve! Link to my short ruclips.net/user/shortsH8k898Wvp6Q?feature=share

      Hey :-) the nitro range now comes with a 5 year warranty and the brushless motor is backed by a 10 year warranty, just make sure you register within 30 days of purchase, :-) with regard to the battery mod.... probably not without fairly extensive modification. The wg633 comes with a waterproof battery case enabling it a higher ip rating you would need to explore removing the case and modifying it leaving behind the contacts removing the water proof box, if you did this it would likely void the warranty - that said a 5 year warranty is pretty strong so take it as a bold confidence boost to the quality of the products. I have over 70 worx tools and have had 2 arrive DOA, both were maker x products, one a soldering iron with a misaligned screen the other the mini angle grinder that worked for two seconds went forward then flay out backwards and stopped!? both were replaced within 3 days, all the other tools, mowers, batteries, chargers strimmers, chainsaws DIY tools etc all still work just as well as the day I bought them, some have cosmetic wearing and dirt in their crevices, and some have scuffed and faded writing and labels but on the whole still function and are just as powerful as the day they were made, overall are amazing for their cost vs longevity - a fact that I can only see getting better and better over the years I have had my worx tools. Indeed the wg633 is now a good year and a half old now and it is still strong as an ox and works just as good now as it did when new (probably upwards of 90 x 4ah batteries used through it including fence panel prep, car and bike washing, patio care and hot tub cleaning along with filters and internals too.

    Nice review Mike. Yet again, I don’t need to read the manual now when I get mine! Looking forward to getting dusty on a few projects. One point: perhaps the large, multi-diameter adaptor for the workshop extractor could have a more flexible hose between it and the Sandeck to allow for ease of movement. Just a thought.

    • @mikesptworld
      @mikesptworld Месяц назад

      just using a pre adapted hose is probably smarter option. though when i get my overhead extractin tubing system in place it may be a smarter option though for an average joe setup this is more than adequate, i mean if you have a 6 foot tal dust extractor then you most probably also have enough room for a smaller size shop vac too 😛 - the bag it comes with is sufficient for most peoples use. you will always get dusty, it is nearly impossible to negate every last speck of dust - if you know of a way to make wood work meet a rolls Royce factory then please take my money! :-D

    • @mikesptworld
      @mikesptworld Месяц назад

      Define 'power' it has a more powerful brushless motor and chucks a bigger diameter twin string cassette compared to the wg163 with it's single string casette, it will run for approximately 30minutes on a full 4ah battery. I use it to do approximately 400m of the perimeter of my property, and it does it just fine. It's very capable and an ideal upgrade to the wg163, it is just that though an upgrade, rather than a brushless version of the wg163

Im pretty good with electric mowers and pretty sure i know the issue. seems i created hight current and added too much resistance. something blew. wondering if you ever had this issue.

      Sounds like a primary fuse has blown though I have never experienced this first hand I have noted in the new batteries they feature a fusible link between the positive final terminal and the main board has a narrow section to act as a fuse if ultra-high current is discharged. Any battery post 2021ish has this feature I believe. Another thing that could have happened is the commutator on the brushed motor could have been fouled - a simple(!?) Strip down and electrical contact cleaner spray could solve it or if the brushes have been singed then they may be sticking in their tracks, another job for isopropyl alcohol or contact cleaner and a gentle swipe with fine abrasive if the brushes are removable to remove any burrs, after that I am a bit out of ideas, apart from looking for SMD's or following where the uncapturable white smoke has come from I am at a loss, poor soldering connections, loose wires, attempt to trace the circuit..... long arduous process after that I fear,

    Hi, I appreciate this very comprehensive review. Thank you. Have you any idea where in UK to obtain the replacement spools (part # WA007)? I haven't been able to find them anywhere, even on the Worx website. Many thanks.

      @@mikesptworld I'm grateful for the link you've provided, thanks. I'm just a bit wary of using an unbranded product. Might it affect the warranty? May I ask if you've had to replace the spool yet? Sorry so many questions! It's just that I ordered this grass trimmer yesterday at what appeared to be a bargain price. I believe that the machine does come with 2 spools supplied, but I have no idea how far they'll take me? Just to be on the safe side I thought I'd stock up with some extras in advance, but it's proving harder than I thought!

      I can't honestly say for these exact ones, though I bought some (6) for the wg163 that were aftermarket specials - 4 years later Iater I have given my wg163e to my father in law and still have 2 reels left! In honesty I only managed to use 1 reel a year! Though the wg173 is a bit more of an animal, I am still on my first reel :-) these are the ones I have earmarked for purchase, they don't affect warranty as long as they are classed as a consumable item much like petrol in a car, you can also keep the old reels and re wind your own reels with 1.65mm cluparis trimmer line, though the pre wound ones tend not to self bind and lock on the reel as much.

    Hi there, I've got chance to buy the Worx 80v mower, it doesn't come with this power base, do you know where they can be purchased as I've tried everywhere and have had no luck? Thanks

    Have you ever used anything other than a two amp battery on this because I have a four amp Worx. I tried to ask a couple times on Worx website but no one can really give me a straight answer. I ended up ordering it anyways and I’m just gonna try and see if 4 Ah will do it.

    • @mikesptworld
      @mikesptworld 3 месяца назад

      I have used a 4ah and a 6ah, they both fit and work, are rather heavy on the unit and compromise that ultralight feel - honestly the battery feels like the heaviest part - this weight is then doubled with a 4ah and a 6ah pack (weirdly they weigh similar weights - see my battery video for more details) the only down side is they don't fit in the upright charger slot with the 4ah pack however it does fit in the above charging slot though if you own a 4ah pack you likely own other worx tools so have a stand alone fast charger so this really is a matter of minor inconvenience.

      @@mikesptworld thank you for your reply. I’m glad to know that the other battery amps works. I have nitro share and I mostly have 40v 4ah batteries. But I also do have some 20V 2ah powershare ones too. I’m excited to try it. I’ve been using a handheld that only lasts for 20 minutes. I actually spend more time charging it than using it. The one I bought from worx is just the tool only because that’s the one that was on sale. I have more than a couple chargers and a few of the 4 Ah/2 Ah so I think I’ll be covered.

      all you need to do is to unclip tyhe orange shield from the base of the head, it should be fairly easy to locate as the buttons / recess presses are on the side of the reel near the exit holes, remove that and either manually unwind or push the small black nub on the side of the rrel to allow the reel to move forward a little bit and dispense a little more line for you to thread through the hole, failing that remove the line, unravel a small length and thread it back through the holes, make sure you put the orange case cover back on too. hope this helps, Mike
