Great clear narration, good editing, and to the point. Thank you for making these videos. SF6 is my first fighting game and your videos have definitely served to help me improve!
Interesting with parry option select on a safe jump. Couldn't find a safe jump on my own, but saw top players do so with my main. I'll practice it. Not sure I'll perfect it, but can try it a little, if I have time w/all the other training. Good info on pushback, better drive rush, & drive chip from supers. Fun vid. Thanks.
I really love your guides I’m a silver rank player I’m new to fighting games and have been doing ok but these guides are really going to help me out so much. I would really like if you put out future videos on anti airs and character guides if if possible thank you
in the video you said "set to crouching light punch" but the dummy in the video is crouching med kick, does that matter? should I set it to both? or was it supposed to be set to only crouching med kick?
I'm using a stick with 8 buttons. The last button on the top row is my parry and the last button on my bottom row is my DI. So I'm using my weak pinky to parry and DI. Do you do the same or do you just use the MP+MK to parry?
hi chris, your voice is sounding kinda boomy, try touching the eq. i recommend you this video of In The Mix "Make Your Voice Sound Better - Vocal EQ Zones". Thanks for the tips!
I'm actually really curious, why do you get punished 50% damage for doing a perfect parry punish counter? Shouldn't you get bonus damage for doing a perfectly timed parry? That makes absolutely no sense to me. Hey you're playing too good, we gotta nerf you for calling out your opponents bad habits and obviously tendencies. Seems kinda crap tbh
Ok so it comes down to balancing the parry. Perfect parry would be pretty broken if it didn’t have scaling because everyone would just keep pushing parry outside of throw range. It would make poking with normals very weak/risky
imo it's also important to note that you can kinda consistently time perfect parry in some situations (like on wakeup), so they probably don't want you to get a huge unscaled combo every time you get knocked down
A little late to the party but yeah , as chris mentioned it would be insane , sinply because in this game unlike 3rd strike , parry doesn't leave you open to attacks , you can simply go back to blocking with no issues , their only way to counter your perfect parey is to throw you , so anything outside of throw range is safe to parry , thus forcing ppl to adopt a playstyle that's designed around fishing for parrys , making it even more stupid than 3rd strike .
I get that it seems unfair but I think perfect parry would be a bit broken if it didn’t have damage scaling. It would turn the game into a very defensive game, where doing any kind of poking in neutral could get you killed
Sorry for the typo in tip #1. It should say "Use the parry option select during safe jumps"
Editing is hard 😅

You don’t need to find your own safejumps, just search on RUclips X character safe jump
@@Chris_F Yep, already found them from lots of high level matches I've watched.

Perfect parry scales damage down? That makes less sense as it should have been most rewarding for the effort. 😢
