The wakeup+parry thing... why didn't I ever think of that. It's genius, perfect, and going to change my life. No more screaming "WHERE'S MY REVERSAL!?" at my screen lol.
I experimented a bit more with the Parry OS. When doing wakeup supers you can just input them with MP and MK (Parry), to get the OS. For AKI this will result in level 3, with 3 bars, level 1, with more than one bar and parry otherwise (unless you don't have the drive gauge) Meaning I can't use this OS when I want to level 1, but have 3 bars. In that case I can do the level 1 input as normal and then tap parry. This will OS into doing EX slide, which is strike and projectile invulnerable. OSing into slide only works, when you input your super early though.
Pal could you answer a question for me should you have negative edge on or off because I'm late to the game and I'm finding combos hard I was told to change the setting to turn off negative edge but it's like I'm over thinking it can you help in any way because I just want to know should it be on or off. Stay safe and well from Dublin🇮🇪🇮🇪..
I still haven’t found any guidance on what to do after the first parry if it’s not perfect. Do I just hold parry if they are doing a crossover jump in followed by a string of crouching lights? Do I hold block if the first party isn’t perfect? Can I get a perfect party on a second or third hit if I don’t hold party but press party for each attack?
@@Chris_Fsweet. Cliff notes in the reply until a vid comes out lol? Also looking for what the frame advantage is after perfect parry? I feel like my HP starter for JP hasn’t connected after one sometimes.
@jt5051 the idea is that by using the parry reversal OS, you've committed to inputting the reversal, but if you make an execution error, the parry will come out instead of a button as like a fallback, which at least protects you in situations where the opponent is pressing on your wakeup. So in a situation where the opponent pressed on wakeup, instead of the 2 possibilities being good (hit reversal) or bad (get counter hit), it becomes good (hit reversal) or ok (parry their button at least). So yes this DOES mean it loses to an opponent who simply waits to block / parry bait, which you would anyway on any situation where you've committed to a reversal. all options have SOME inherent risk and don't win in all scenarios, the reversal / parry OS is merely a means to manage the possibilities of your strategic decision (i.e., committing to reversal) where a risk of that option is an execution error
Reversals is one of the reasons why i think modern is better then classic. Its ALWAYS gonna work when you want it to. Also i mean, instant anti-air, and instant ults.. like ur not gonna beat me if u drop ur combo for a milisecond and im spamming ult.😂
Modern is strong for sure, but I think it comes down to both personal preference and character. Some characters are just better suited for modern than others IMO
I included English subtitles in RUclips this time too, so select subtitles in settings if you need them!
Are you gonna do japanese subtitles? For your people 😮
Ничего страшного поперевожу. Подтяну Англицкий
Daigo parry in the intro was a nice touch.
Real ones know
That parry/reversal OS is God tier tech!!
👊
Maybe with this tech, I can stop cursing like a sailor.
With everyone doing fake blockstrings and pressure this video was very helpful.
Parry is a great way to call out those fake blockstrings. Thanks for watching!
Fantastic guide as always, thanks for the work you put into these!
Thank you for the kind words! I will do my best to have more soon
Great guide on how to use parry more effectively !I will add these scenarios to my practice routine thanks so much !
Let me know if it helps you rank up!
Thanks for the tips! I got master rank and barely use parry. Tip 1 and tip 5 will help my game! Going to practice those before playing again!
Glad you liked them! Let me know if these tips help you increase your MR
best guides on youtube bruh
Thank you *so* much! I always try my best!
Evo moment 37 in the intro! I see you!
Glad someone noticed!
@@Chris_F how could you not! Cool idea for an intro man, I’m yet to have every kick of lightning legs parried on me but the night/game is young lol
Good to know when to use parry. I was just guessing til now (no vs yet). Thanks for the vid.

To be honest it’s not very obvious so don’t worry about not finding it yourself!
Great work as always chris 🤙🏽
Thank you!!
awesome guide as always man
Appreciate it! Thx!!
This is crazy. I only just started playing and it helped me out very very much! Thank you for the video!
Glad it helped!
Great video. You have some nice insight and I like your music taste. Liked and Subbed
Thank you so much!!!
Great guide!
Thank you!
Great video, i think this will take me to master
You can do it!
About to practice #4 in the lab right now 👍🍀
Happy practicing!
Taking the throw is always the best option.
Gets tricky at low health situations but generally yeah it’s the best option most of the time
Naw there’s no videos that go this in depth!
Thank you my man, more to come soon!

I recommend off, that seems to be what most tournament players use
@@Chris_F Thanks pal. Keep up the good videos.

I’ll try to make a video about this! I think it’s something a lot of people could be struggling with. Thanks for the idea!!

PunkDaCrybaby hates this video.
What's the BGM? It's driving me nuts because my brain knows the whole melody yet I can't remember where it's from let alone how it's called
Guile’s theme from SFV iirc
What happens if they block on the reversal option select?
If you didn’t mess up the reversal timing you’ll get a reversal. If you did mess up the timing you’ll get a parry
But if they block won’t the reversal come out? Or just the parry? Cause idk if it’s worth the counter punish combo they will get.

bro really did evo moment 37 at the start
Glad you noticed lol
HOW DO YOU PERFECT PARRY FFS.
You have to parry within 2 frames of the attack touching you

Modern players are fn trash. Play the game as it was intended. Button mashing fools without any skills. They should have never added that garbage
made a guide about exploiting parry which already reduces skill, great.
