Also, I really like Paula Patton. In this, I hope she shows up in the future because her character was a lot of fun.
@@Anthonycheesman33 I am pretty sure Mission Impossible III is my favorite MI movie (I can't choose between Part III and Fallout), and I agree. But part four feels more like a team effort, while 3 focused a lot on Ethan's relationship, but I get your point. And don't forget Luthor in part 3.
Yeah, Ghost Protocol is where they hit on the magic formula which built on the spy-fi heist team elements of the first one, with the emotional beats of the third movie
Another fun fact is the number A113 (which is a reference to the classroom used by graphic design and character animation students at Cal Arts) makes three appearances throughout the film. The first is on the side of Hanaway's ring in the flashback sequence, the second is verbally as Ethan's agent ID that he recites through the phone after he escapes from the hospital and the third is on one of the gloves that Ethan uses to scale the building in Dubai. During that scene, the line “Blue equals glue, red equals dead” was actually improvised on set by Simon Pegg who had apparently been binge-watching the Mission: Impossible revival series from the late 80s/early 90s and decided to rework a similar line of dialogue from the first episode of season 3 which involved a plot to unleash a genetic virus capable of destroying a nation's total wheat harvest. This led to some members of the production team jokingly referring to the movie as Blue Harvest which coincidentally was also the working title of the 1977 film Star Wars.
