Great job Vic. You are too harsh on yourself, the amount of work put in and the improvements made, make the engine bay a 9 out of 10. With the motor and accessories back in not much is that visible anyway. With my complete (9 years and counting) nut and bolt restomod, I've used metric rivnuts extensively. Any original threaded holes have imperial bolts, anything new has metric. (I'm working on the basis that in the future if I can't work out what's what, I probably shouldn't be driving). Keep up the good work.
Replace the wiring harness or you risk your car catching fire, it happens too often when restorers take short cuts. Rather than weld nuts it would have been better to use Rivnuts
I can't get Rivnuts in those pesky fractions in this part of the world or I would have done! Didn't want a few random bolts in metric on an imperial car, a recipe for confusion
Started galloping you & im enjoying it , can you tell us when your getting your engine back & will you be giving it a bit of bling & making it look good .
Hey Vic, enjoyed the video. I was torn between the tabs or the clips... Wondering if you have ever taken your door cards off? is there a polythene protection behind them? I think you also done a video about frot door seals, was this because of water ingress? Looking forward to finding out about your engine...J
Yes I've had the cards off and there was a plastic barrier in place. There is a video on the door seals, I replaced them as the seals were dry and not functioning or just plain missing
Great job Vic! 👌
Another really great video,,,,,enjoyable and very informative,,,,
Top job Vic. If the engine resto is up to the same standard, will look awesome.
