I'm struggling, I'm running an ls in a new edge, where does the line from the power steering pump go? You got 2 hook ups on the rack and 2 on the hydroboost, I'm lost

High pressure output from the pump (smaller line right behind the pulley) goes to the hydroboost high pressure input (closest to the nitrogen canister). The high pressure output of the hydroboost (next to the nitrogen canister but closest to the driver side firewall) goes to the high pressure rack input (the lower rack fitting). Both the hydroboost small bleed nipple and the low pressure rack output (upper rack fitting) return to the reservoir.
If adding a cooler (recommended) the upper low pressure rack output goes to the cooler and the return from cooler output just goes back to the reservoir.
PBH can provide you an illustration document in email.

    Will this work for a 72 cougar/mustang?

How do you know if the hydro boost is working, how do you bleed the system, and what if you do not have back brake pressure? Do you still use brake fluid in the brake reservoir?

If the 99-04 master cylinder has ABS and/or Traction Control is that an issue for the swap on the foxbody? Meaning obviously the fox doesn't have ABS or TCS so if the 99-04 Master Cylinder does will it still work understanding of course it may impact the lines/connections that are run? Can't find anything anywhere in any of the forums.

As far as putting that set up with a push rod motor would I need to change my power staring pump? I've never really needed to address my brakes until I built this motor, and I gotta say my brakes are terrible, thinking of going the same route but never seen one so I'm confused on hooking to power sreering

ronron1466 It will work with the stock pump, but not as well. Again I’m not an expert on it, but from what I’ve been told it will work

ronron1466 if your staying pushrod you can always go 93 Cobra booster. It's a bit of a struggle to get it in. Big f'n hammer to pursuade the sturt tower once or twice and your good. If you google it enough you'll find some pics with stock fox pump setup

Eric Debisz yeah I know man I appreciate you reaching out but I did the whole booster change cobra master cylinder and I have rear disc and the brakes still suck,I guess the cam is robbing a lot of vacuum, I thought of the electric assist but I'm liking the hydroboost set up

I truly like the feel and feedback of hydroboost. My old super duty brake pedal was the best. It almost push back at you when you gabbed it. Anyone know how the 99-04 power steering pumps feel at 7k+ rpm?

The moment when your rack and pinion leaks. So you get it rebuild with new seals. Reinstall. Then you pressure/return lines start to leak so you now you have to special order them from Napa and Orielys because now one has them in stock. You get them in and find out NAPA gave you the wrong pressure hose so now you have to special order the another pressure hose from AutoZone (this took another day on top of the other days that Stang was on jack stands) then finally replace those. And reinstall everything again. Then check for leaks and find that NOW your hydroboost is leaking and now your here watching this video. Anyone got a match and a light? Bout to burn this mother f-ing mustang!!

No adapter plate really needed for the firewall. I reused the plastic spacer behind the pedal assembly. Just have to massage the 4 boot holes a little and the center hole where the hydroboost arm goes through.

svtpower03 Yeah I wasn’t 100% sure on the plate. How did you mod the brake pedal?

Caleb Richards I had Dover mod my stock pedal and move the pin up.

Will you be looking into going with the electric Volvo steering pump which some people are switching to with the Fox swaps? Love the videos BTW

GonzoTheGreat No sir, I wanted to use all Ford parts, simply for availability, and all of the hoses & lines work
