The Authority and more have all been revealed by James Gunn and Peter Safran as we look forward to the future of the DC Universe! In this video I breakdown everything we learned and everything we know.
Gunn embracing The Batfamily to seperate it from the The Batman universe was smart. There's so much potential spinoffs for DCU Batman, like TITANS, The Outlaws, or Gotham Knights
If he’s talking inspiration from young justice we should see many legacy characters. Id love if we could basically get young justice for live action

The TV part of this slate made me think of the early days of the Arrowverse (the VERY early days, during Arrow season 1) when they were talking about having a Suicide Squad spin-off and giving Booster Gold and Wonder Woman a TV show. This makes me feel like what could have happened if the DCEU and the Arrowverse decided to actually merge from the early beginnings and become one universe
I've always said DC should have been the first to not only have a shared live action universe but also a live action multiverse....and I more of a Marvel guy but it's true....

I think that lanterns is a good title if there are other lantern corps that go talk to John and Hal and would be even better if what they find is a black lantern power battery
That's a possibility, they said the show will be the beggining of a bigger story that will probably continue for the movies side of DC.
What an incredible day it was. SO EXCITING! My most anticipated projects are Superman: Legacy, Lanterns, Brave and the Bold, and Booster Gold
I have a theory:
Firstly, James Gunn stated that Hal and John will discover a dark mystery on Earth that ties into the plot of the DCU as a whole.
Secondly, the Creature Commandoes are quite often linked with Dinosaur Island.
Thirdly, the title of the Chapter is "Gods and Monsters."
I think, potentially, that this could all culminate in a loose adaptation of New Frontier, with the formation of the Justice League.

I hope Dick, Jason, and Tim help Batman train Damian as Robin it'd make sense expically seeing as both Jason/Red Hood and Damian are both assassins who kill their enemies and maybe they could learn an thing from each other
I prefer Jason to not be in this movie. But instead in the sequel based on Under the Red Hood comic and then became an hero.

I’m a little bit on the fence with the bat family appearing so soon purely for the sake of Red Hood feeling like he’s not entirely gonna be properly established and while I don’t wanna be one of those guys who says there are strict rules you have to follow with how you introduce Jason Todd as Red Hood there are a couple bullet points you still gotta hit
I hope blue beetle appears in the green lantern show beacuse.......duh and they finally give us a batman and Robin movie and they use DAMIEN thankfully superman is getting the respect he deserves and it's long overdue
I wish we got a Jason or Tim adaptation before we got Damien but maybe they are saving that for the Patverse

I don't think that members of "Creature commandos" are innocent in this universe. On the picture you can clearly see a Weasel and a character who looks like Dr. Phosphorus. The show will most likely be a mix of "Creature commandos", "Suicide squad" and possibly "Gotham city monsters".

They explicitly said blue beetle and aquaman movie happen after the flash resets the universe, so they are “in” and take place in the gunnverse.
From the way Gunn spoke about The Flash movie, it seems like they are technically going to treat the DCEU as canon, as if that was the Pre-Flashpoint universe. I feel like that is a smart choice because, I mean, they could use the fact that they are suddenly changing everything after 10 years

I love booster gold because he starts out being a hero for selfish reasons then learns from other heroes how to be a hero

I am excited for these new DC shows and movies but the one I'm most excited to see is the Green Lantern show. We finally get to see Green Lantern in this live action universe. That is all I ever wanted. Plus the announced Green Lantern show is going to be focusing on my favorite lanterns: Hal Jordan and John Stewart. I have two favorite Green Lanterns.

Jon Kent not being in the same generation as Damien could work if they loosely adapt the aging up storyline from the Bendis Superman run to age Jon up a lil bit to be of similar age to Damien.

I'm super excited for the Supergirl film. The cw show ruined her image making her a nerd goody two-shoes baby clark kent; which in the comics she is not. James Gunn describe her as "a harsher and more f*cked up Supergirl".
Like with the comic book flashpoint I expect there to be both and minor changes to the universe, some events will remain in continuity like standalone movies that don't really connect much such as wonder woman 1 and 2, Shazam, and Aquaman which is fitting since these characters are the only characters from the snyderverse to actually turn a profit.

I do hope that Damian is at least 13, because even if he is only 10 years a batman he could have met her before then

Theory: chapter 1 is gods and monsters. Superman Legacy will be like a already known Superman. But, people think Clark is a god. The heroes are seen as gods and the monsters are the transformed or created villains and beasts.

Imo I don't think Mamoa will be reprising his role as Aquaman. Maybe Lobo but I think all of them will eventually get canned after their movies come out.
The door was left open but I doubt a lot of the old cast will come back
aquaman will have a trilogy if the lost kingdom works in the cinema, if the 2nd film does the same or better than the 1st aquaman at the box office there will be a 3rd film, all this is a question of money on the other hand miller even if "the flash " performs (I think it will perform and I place it in the BO between 800M and 1b) I don't see WB keeping it and with flashpoint it will be recast, gadot will not have a Ww3 film because 84 was a big failure in addition with the gal salary request it is complicated and batfleck may be going behind the camera for a future dcu film.

The Paradise Lost was never confirmed to be a prequel to the DCEU Wonder Woman. This is probably a setup for the future DCU WW movies. And the CW was never in the process of developing it

This universe should not include The Joker. I think that we shouldn't have both two Batmans and two Jokers in two franchises at once. (Sure, there's no confirmation that The Batman Part II has The Joker as the main villain, but come on)

I'm just guessing, but I suspect that his wife may be acting in several if not all of the new shows and movies. Just a suspicion. Having said that if they are half as good as Peacemaker turned out to be I'm fine with that.

People are getting excited because their own imaginations are running wild. Completely forgetting the company we are dealing with here and doesn’t matter what his “plans” are. Don’t underestimate Warner Brothers act for fucking things up and also James wanted Henry gone but kept Ezra Miller and Amber. This is going to work sooooo well cause at this point it is clear that Miller knows where the bodies are buried. We have seen actors cancelled for far far less.

You neglected to talk about Gunn's plans for DC video games. There's going to be games connected to the movies and an "Elsewords" timeline of games not connected. If any of this is true, then I'm afraid for Suicide Squad: KTJL. Rebooting the Arkhamverse will feel like having the thing we love most dying in front of our eyes. Why would you DE canonize fantastic games like Arkham City of all things? Even Disney doesn't go low enough to do something like that to such iconic pieces of art like the Star Wars OT trilogy. Plus, this decision doesn't make sense. Why would you have Flashpoint in a Suicide Squad game? How does those two mix? If you want more Batman games, why not explore an era between Origins and Asylum? Better yet, why not make a brand new lineup of Batman games and leave the main Arkham continuity alone? Not to mention there are many other heroes to make games out of! I've never been this scared about any video game in my life. What's worse is that I could end up hating Suicide Squad: KTJL even more than Marvel's Avengers.
For the Paradise lost -> pretty sure its implied well see HOW themiscira came about so it will deal eith the old gods, their war, different amazionian clans possibly and notmal clans comprised of men etc. its the lead up to how it all came about that they ended up getting their own secret island. If the show is just about life on the island post invisibility cloak and severing themselevs from the rest of the world it will be boring AF

I do believe James Gunn can make anything good, I mean I prefer GOTG to Avengers, although I prefer the Justice League

If they gave away everything and detailed their every move… then they’d say they took the fun out of it and left us with nothing to speculate and no mystery to enjoy when watching. There was no way to win for some people. Being silent regarding Ezra is more of a business decision so that the upcoming flash movie makes money. After that they'll most likely remove him. And for a slim chance that they retain him, no one cares if you watch the DC movies or not. I'm sure there are tons of movies and shows that you don't watch and no one cares anyway lol
