    Nice clean installation! What is the AMP rating on the plug that goes to the trolling motor?

    • @Aksmaniyak
      @Aksmaniyak  Год назад

      Thanks John. The plug is rated for 12-48V 50A continuous.

      @@Aksmaniyak Sounds like a good combination. I like the twist lock operation.

      @@helicopterjohns It is the easiest yet. I, like most people, have been using the traditional trolling motor plugs meant for boats. They are beefier than need for kayaks. This works great.

    Hi interesting build though I have a question. Do you put the ESC before or after the circuit breaker?

    • @Aksmaniyak
      @Aksmaniyak  Год назад

      The circuit breaker should be close to the battery and the ESC connects after the circuit breaker.

    Does that circuit breaker just use blade fuses

    • @Aksmaniyak
      @Aksmaniyak  10 месяцев назад

      No. It is a re-settable circuit breaker.

    Nice video. I have a 55 lbs NV TM. Would an 880 ESC work. Is there an ESC that will work with a 55 lbs TM?

    • @Aksmaniyak
      @Aksmaniyak  Год назад +1

      I wouldn't use an 880 ESC for any trolling motor larger than 50lbs. Others have mentioned that the heat from larger motors can melt the wiring over long high amp use. Somebody mentioned on a FB page (don't remember which) that there is a larger one available.

      @@Aksmaniyak Thank You. So it seems the 55lbs thrust trolling motors present problems for both PWM’s and ESC. I think I’ll start working my way back out of the Rabbit hole and reinstall the original controller and sell the 55 lbs thrust TM. Thank you for your help.

      I built a PWM using a Minn Kota Traxxis control board that may work for you. It is in the PWM playlist.

    Nice build, almost identical to mine. What is the max AWG that can fit in those screw plug terminals?

    • @Aksmaniyak
      @Aksmaniyak  Год назад

      Thanks. I used 10G and it was loose so I'm thinking 8G would be the max.

    Nice build. I have watched all your ESC builds and have learned from each of your iterations. Is this your current version that you are using? If it is your current version, what did you decide to to with the emergency cutoff switch that you built into the remote box a few videos back.
