I have been waiting for you to do a video of these since they were released a month or so ago. Thank you very much for the detailed video. For those curious, I purchased three of these AF120 Elites in black the day they were released and installed them on top of my 5000X case. They fit perfectly between the tempered glass panel and the top of the case itself (was worried there would be issues but they still provide wonderful performance. You can also get the 5000D airflow panels from Corsair to swap out if you are worried about the tempered glass causing any cooling issues. But I have experimented with swapping out the front and top tempered glass panels for the airflow panels, and there was no change in temperatures under extreme loads). Back to the fans, I have them pulling on my H150i Elite Capellix and they perform wonderfully and like you show in the video, they are very quiet as well. Im able to run all my exhaust fans at a lower rpm which makes my entire case more queit (I have a total of 13 fans). Plus, these fans look very slick and professional. You can tell by holding them they are of high quality. I have been considering swapping out my SP120 Elite rgbs that I have on the side and front of my case for more of the AF120 Elites but have not yet done so since I'm enjoying the rgb so much. But after watching your video, I think I'll pick up three more of these to switch things up and see if there is any noticeable change in my 3080 Ti or 5800X under very heavy loads. And for under $25, they are hard to beat. Once again, thank you very much for all your content. It made my morning seeing that you released content on these fans (there isnt much info on these on the web yet). Keep up the great content and I'll catch you on your discord sometime.
I have an AF120 on a 120mm radiator cooling a Ryzen 9 7900x and it can do a sustained 125 watt load no problem at 1800rpm. Previously I was using a 3500rpm server fan with 5 blades and this seems to perform the same at half the speed. I think the number of blades and shape of the blades makes it great for radiators.
How you are finding them compare to the noctuas ?I am currently looking at some super silent case fans as the noise floor of my room is pretty low and I found the fan noise to be quite apparent .
What is the temp in your room when you do these tests? My room is around 75 degrees before I even turn the computer on. It makes gaming a pain in the ass.
@@Zforsilver I don't really understand how so many manage to completely miss the all blacked out Chromax line from Noctua, they're right there on the website (and all stores that sell Noctua fans and coolers).. But yeah unfortunately they do not produce any white products. They were planning to and had already prototyped them but for some reason dropped the project.

Thanks for sharing your experience Brad :)
I bought some of these for my pc; they work great and are indeed very quiet.

Gentle Typhoon lives again!

Did you consider the White Corsair iCUE H100i Elite Capellix 240mm ARGB for this build?
Dude is it necessary to get a comander core in order to control the fans speed? I thought there was other way...
If they're not RGB sure, there are other ways

@@TheProvokedPrawn they are rgb, corsair rgb af 120 if i remember correctly

Thanks ItzNoobs. I will.
So with the new AF rgb fans, does that mean we can have our cake and eat it? 😊
Helllooooo back to you!
Hello
What is the temp in your room when you do these tests? My room is around 75 degrees before I even turn the computer on. It makes gaming a pain in the ass.
Depends on the time of year and how much gaming I've been doing. But probably somewhere around 21 degrees centigrade.
@@TheProvokedPrawn Thanks Prawn.
45 db on these expensive fans, how much for Intel stock cooler fan to compare? Cause everyone says stock coolers are loud.
Hi, this basically replaces SP fans? Would these still work fine a radiator and a mesh in front of fan?
Are these for radiators?
when i saw Corsair going all RGB gallore, i thought they lost it as performance brand
Atleast they have this and ML elite to compete with noctuas
How do get the fans to run in 0rpm?
you'll need to have them connected to a Commander Core or Prob I believe.
How do these compare to the white Arctic P12 PWM PSTs?
I'm afraid I've not tried Arctic P12s.
everyone and their mother really did copy the noctua a12x25's, huh
No lol everyone including noctua copied the gentle typhoon
Noctua didn't invent that design
To be fair I was gonna go for noctula but there fans only come in brown and gray and I was going all white

Dat MEG X299 Creation tho
It's a bit ageing now but still looks and works great
Is there a black version?
Yes
nawk tuah
Phantek T30'S are cheaper, quieter and way better performing. Even better than the Noctua A12x25.
Noctua u12
Your cable management caused me distress.
Thanks
im scared of this mf
A fan?
