Hi bp328i, I am 1000% in agreement with that statement! Like the SWAFAN EX from thermaltake, I would like to see them include swappable blades with the fan. Buy one fan and you can choose and change as necessary. But, at least, make two versions of the fans. Thanks for watching and your support!
It's like you said, RX are the "performance fans". They are Corsair's attempt at keeping up with the likes of Noctua and Phanteks. They are much better for radiator and airflow use. QX are the showcase fans. They look fantastic but aren't well suited for serious watercooling or airflow applications - or rather there are far better, quieter, and cheaper fans for that.
Any idea why Corsair didn’t upgrade their full AIO range to the Titan RX style? I'd love to make use of it, but I'd need a 420mm version, and they neglected both it and the 480mm one...
Hey nice video as always. So I am planning on changing all my fans into QX icue link. And I was wondering if we can pair together a set of QX120 fans (which will be on the right side of the case) and some RX140 fans NON RGB (at the bottom of the case) please? My Case is the Hyte y70 Thanks!
The problem is they dont come with a male to male PCIe to power it. Wish the box would state that so I would've known i had to buy one. 3 trips to best buy today and i still dont have everything I need.
Thanks for the video, very informative, noob question, I have a EVGA 1200 PSU, on the back there are no labels stating PCI Express. The only six pins I have are four satas and two called PERIF1 and 2. I was going to go on the assumption that I would plug that power cable into one of the PERIF ports on the back of my power supply???
Hi brianjohnston2168, thanks for the feedback. I'm a little late getting this response back to you. the PERIF1 and 2 will be for the MOLEX style cable for your power supply, these are not what you're looking for with iCUE LINK. I'm assuming the power supply has 1, 2 or more VGA ports, these are 8 pin ports on the power supply side, but the other connect should be a 6+2 connector, which means your icue link hub will connect to the 6 pin connector, just leave the other 2 seperated, they won't be used. I'm not sure if listing the ports as VGA and not PCIe is exclusive to evga, but it's the same thing. If this isn't a modular power supply, you should still have 2 connectors that are 6+2 (pcie), but they may say vga on them. If you don't have those, give me the exact model number off your power supply, i'll be happy to take a look. Good Luck, have fun and thanks for watching!!!
Hi geovaniordaz6385, I prefer the NZXT USB Hub, here is a non-affiliate link for amazon. a.co/d/bOKQWNH NZXT has received some bad press the last week, but despite that, their USB hub is my goto and will continue to be. I have a few of them here, but I'm always reaching for the NZXT one, it fits better in almost every build I do. Thanks for watching!!!
HI Bichpuddin4, these fans don't connect to your motherobard. Essentially, the fans connect to each other and then to the iCUE LINK HUB. The hub then makes a USB connection to a 9 pin USB header and a sata power connection. This will give you complete control over RGB and Speed using Corsairs iCUE software. Thanks for watching, good luck and have FUN!!!
Is there anything wrong with chaining one of these fans to the links cp cooler radiator? Does this negatively affect the cooler? And if so how? Recently did a build with this system and can’t hook up all 15 links fans due to hub limits and usb 2 header limitations. I have a 4 way splitter but can’t run any additional fans either way since each side of the hub only allows 7 and one side for the cooler. That means I can only run the cooler and 7 fans max for my full size tower that can hold 17 fans. Not sure what to do
Hi christianflanigan7598, I might not fully understand your setup. But placing an RX120 fan against a Radiator is fine. This fan is well suited to that task. With firmware v2.4 on the iCUE Link hub and the latest iCUE software, you should be able to add 12 devices per port for a total of 24. I'd recommend starting with making sure you have the latest icue link firwmare on the hub and the latest software. If you have issues, you could add a second hub, which would allow you to balance devices and you can still control all of them, but I think the firmware update should do it according to Corsair. I've been meaning to test that on a bench and add more than 14 fans, perhaps I'll do that this weekend and make a video about it. Corsair has an article about it. Great questions! Good Luck, have fun and thanks for watching!!!
I recently switch from the QX to RX fans, RX fans are defiantly not as pretty, but both CPU and GPU temp have dropped 5c.
Corsair really needs to start making reverse blade fans

If I were to get two 3 packs of the rx120 fans could I daisy chain all of them together to run off of 1 hub that one of the packs comes with?

When Corsair going to release reverse blade fans?
The problem is they dont come with a male to male PCIe to power it. Wish the box would state that so I would've known i had to buy one. 3 trips to best buy today and i still dont have everything I need.
I'm torn. I like the lighting effects of the QX. But, I really like the better cooling of the RX. Thanks for the vid!
I use the RX for my radiators because they have the best static pressure in the corsair line up. If you’re not water cooling. I would go with QX’s.

Where can I get a powered usb hub for those kinds of wires?

I recently bought these fans, I love the esthetic but I'm having a hard time finding a vid on how to connect them to my motherboard.
