I came from forge labs with high expectations of this channel's production quality, considering how good the editing is on forge lab's channel, and I was not disappointed.
There are a few lore bits that Hugo has revealed that’s never shown within the game. Firstly, Davoth created the Maykrs as disembodied AI, though later in their history, some mysterious entity would go on to give the Maykrs their organic forms. There’s a rank of yellow holographic Serpahs referred to as “Ancient Gods” that act outside of what the Dark Lord and Father do. They’re kinda their own thing, as they oversee all of creation. What’s strange is that they don’t speak English like the other Maykrs. The Maykrs built Urdak 🤷♂️ Davoth created the Seraphs and Father, but the Father created the Kahns, Angels, and Drones. It’s why all the “new” Maykrs are so oblivious to their history. The only ones who know the truth are the Seraphs and Father. Also, all Bloof Maykrs are female yet we’ve met a male Maykr Angel, and as we know, Blood Maykrs are corrupted angels. Though it’s interesting to note that they’re much more armored and they posses a different head shape, as well as wings. Also, Jekkad was a pretty weird looking place. Bright purple skies, teal waters, ashy white stone monuments that erupted from the ground, dark yellow flora, and crimson biomechanical cities 🤔
What rich, deep, tragic lore in this one! I always really enjoy these vids on your channel. These ole Maykrs really do seem like fallen angels now, after they made the deal with the devil, as it were. XD Well played!
I’m a lore buff, so I think I actually watched quite a bit off the interviews that Hugo Martin did with the youtubers, and even he ultimately things in finer details art to fleshed out, at lest at the moment. So if anything, you actually provided us with some good explanations.

@@WiseFish Midnight made a video explaining that the slayer wasn’t the first to challenge the Dark Lord. Many other demon lords sieged Immora to get the title of Dark Lord. Davoth has been fighting off the demons and somewhat earning their respect. Wolves, Killer Whales, they all follow an alpha. By killing most of the demon lords, the demons began siding with Davoth.
The DOOM story got really convoluted and stupid. It really should have stuck with the whole, "Hell is bad, not much is known about hell other than bad. Demons are bad kill them. you need the yellow key card to open the door to get to the reactors so you can shut the power down to the hell portal." you know, DOOM shit. This whole mess is just not DOOM.

They are not good approximations to angels at all, they look artificial and even like part ghouls. They look like monsters that dressed as angels, badly
Nice video but couple oxymoronic statements. How can the Makyr be the next step in evolution if in that same breath you say they were created perfect to never age or die. If they were created the way they are and remain there are no steps of evolution at all they would actually be the opposite of the next step in evolution they are created and remain in that same state not undergoing any metamorphosis to a genetic deference in their physiology. I just saying
Doom 2016 was cool and mysterious, but Doom Eternal is so stupid with its cheapened plastic crap. Maykr lol did they get high school kids to write this crap?
