- Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) partnered with the National Park Service to commemorate the 160th anniversary of the first military burials at ANC on May 13, 1864. We are also commemorating the 160th anniversary of the Battle of the Wilderness, fought from May 5 to 7, 1864. Many of the first burials at Arlington were service members who were wounded in the Wilderness.

Thank you for all those who served and gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
They gave “that last full measure of devotion” so our Republic could stand. I am humbled by the sacrifice all who reside there gave.

I visited in 2023 of October and its amazing just how big it is.
God bless all them who are barred there.
Thank you from United Kingdom 🇬🇧
I have walked the hallowed ground at Arlington to find the markers of my friends from high school that came back from Vietnam in a box. R.I.P.
Hallowed ground. Thank you all for your sacrifices.
I served, active and reserve, from May 1973 to May 2009. I know more than a few fellow service personnel who have been laid to rest at Arlington. All are American heroes.
I was at the cemetery today for my Uncles funeral.
Sorry for your loss
🫡 exellent! 🫡🥲
In coordination with religious definitivity.
Sacred Ground does not need a religion to be sacred.
