- Created for the centennial of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington’s new Welcome Center exhibit tells the story of the cemetery's history through the lens of the Tomb.
Dr. Allison S. Finkelstein, Senior Historian at Arlington National Cemetery, will introduce you to the exhibit and show you how Arlington's development impacted the Tomb's origins, while also uncovering how the Tomb shaped the history of the cemetery itself.

Dr. Allison S. Finkelstein, keep up the fire. Many Americans have no idea this historic/hallowed place exists.
Thank-you for this retrospective on the Tomb of Unknowns, Dr Finkelstein. I didn't know the history of the tomb is so long.
Amazing history! Thank you for keeping it alive and relevant. And, above all, thank you for remembering our nation's War Dead!
We’ve had the honor to visit Arlington twice! It’s a place of honor and as a veteran, when we’re about to exit, I stand at attention and render a hand salute to all interred there!
I was there in 1971 All those cross's was mind numbing
Wow!
Is there a grave for the Independence's unknown soldier?
