My grandfather is buried there. He was a Rear Admiral in the Navy in WW II . He also recieved the Medal of Honor. His name is Thomas John Ryan Jr. Aug.5 1901-Jan.28,1970
It is the most spectacular place i have ever been to and i am proud to call it the final resting place of my father, who was interred in Columbarium Court 9 this past summer. Thank you for these videos there. Really makes me emotional watching.
We watched the guard at the Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier for quite some time while we were there. It was fascinating to watch his precision in his movements.
I was able to see the changing of the guard a couple of years ago, it is very humbling. The time and effort And training that they have to go through to be a guard is amazing.
Thank you sooo much for taking us here! As an 8 y/o D.C. girl I attended Joe Louis’ funeral with my late Godfather. At the wake, Sugar Ray Leonard, who grew up in Maryland, stood by his casket shaking the hand of everyone who walked by. I still remember Muhammad Ali waving as he entered his limousine for the ride to Arlington cemetery. We caught the then new Metro, DC’s subway, to Arlington cemetery, but could get nowhere near Louis’ gravesite. Your Vlog was my first view.🙏🏾🙏🏾
I have been in this cemetery more times than I can count and I have never grown tired of it. So much history and so many stories can be found in these hallowed grounds. I hope you got to experience ft he changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown. Everything the 3rd Guard does is absolutely outstanding.
I was moved by the Memorial to the Unknown Soldiers of the Civil War as well as the tribute to those lost in the Lockerbie tragedy. Nice to see the memorials for the crews of Challenger and Columbia, too. Pleased that the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is always protected. Thank you for taking us with you on your visit to Arlington, Jordan. Great vlog.
Thank you for bringing to us the graves of war heroes and celebrities at Arlington Cemetery that we rarely get to see. When you 1 day get back, Colonel L. Fletcher Prouty is buried there. He was the Mr.X character from the movie JFK. Chief of Special Ops. Kennedy administration.
Arlington demands much to explore, but you get out what you put in. History is all around you, etched in stone, one name at a time. I’ve been three times and I still haven’t visited everyone I wanted to! Oh, the Tomb Guard? That is the most honored ritual - The Walk. 21 paces up the mat, pause for 21 seconds. Turn to face the Tomb, pause for 21 seconds. Turn, shoulder arms so the rifle is between the Tomb and the crowds, pause 21 seconds. Walk down the mat 21 steps. Repeat. The guard is changed on the hour in winter, half hour in the summer. No more honored post then to guard the Unknowns for no honor is so great than to give all - life and identity - in service.
Well stated. Have always wanted to see it in person, but I don't get to travel much. I can imagine if I did get to see it in person it would bring tears to my eyes. Very emotional.
My hat is off to you Jordan for doing a other great vlog of this place. Glad you went by Audie Murphy's gravesite his hometown is only a couple of hours from me. Another great vlog as always Jordan . Take care buddy.
That was just so moving. The Unknown Soldier, my heart wept, I can't imagine being there. The the large, tomb with all the bones from the men of the Civil War. All the dedicated tributes, like the space shuttles & airplane crash...💔. Jordan, thank you for the very special vlog. 🇺🇸❤️🦅
This was so beautiful and moving to see. It's a lovely place for them to rest in. Thank you for going there and showing it to us. I would never have been able to see it otherwise. May all that rest there rest in peace. Stay safe and take care Jordan.
Been there about 3 times. It's an amazing place. Seeing the changing of the guard is just awe inspiring. And to see the soldier march around his path guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is something I can watch for hours. And, the grave of Lee Marvin!!!! You are so right....a Man's Man. They don't make them like that in Hollywood these days.
I found this emotional. I guess anyone who goes through war has my high regard. Loved the out of the way monuments you showed. If you ever go back you might like to attend the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier. It's a very high honor and they have to go through alot of training . God bless you Jordan
Interesting fact: legendary group The Four Tops were supposed to be on the ill fated Pan Am flight 103: they were touring in Europe and were scheduled to be on that flight to return to the USA for Christmas; However due to a prolonged recording session and a performance on a British TV show they overslept and missed the plane.
Jordan, it was neat that you found the grave of Floyd Bennett who is from my hometown, Warrensburg in theAdirondacks of upstate NY. There’s a bandstand in the north part of town, dedicated to Floyd Bennett. Thanks for filming that.
I remember the space shuttle Columbia breaking apart over our house. At first I didn't know what it was. Then later parts of it were found in our surrounding area. This was over Texas. Such a sad and somber day.
We were there in 1981. Our then 8 year old son disappeared when we were there. He got back on the tram we took to get there and was back at the beginning of our tour. Scary. Thanks for all these. A lot we didn't see.
You need to come back to Iowa and visit Glen Miller’s birth place in Clarinda. Also, the Kate Shelly Bridge & Mamie Eisenhower’s birth place in Boone. Keep up the great work Jordan!
Fantastic story wonderful presentation. I have a friend of mine who’s buried there brigadier general Thomas Riley he was in charge of Camp Pendleton here in California and also supervisor of fifth district in Santa Ana. Wonderful man and his wife Emma Jean. Maybe both rest in peace
A childhood friend of mine lost her father in the Pan Am 103 flight. If he didn't take that early flight to be home for xmas, he would be alive. I have been to Arlington, it is so moving and educational. It was during a middle school field trip and we saw changing of the guard. So beautiful.
This was an interesting experience Jordan. I always knew Lee Marvin , (Cat Baloo loved him in that movie) was buried with his WW2 commerades . But boy did Hollywood kick up a tizzy , when they wanted him buried with the stars 🌟 literally. And he was next to Joe Louis , how ironic I guess Lee Marvin funny man got the last laugh after all . Thanks for the tour it was great.
hi jordan, jah!!!❤❤❤ thank you for this segment love great info!! and tour!!❤❤❤ a great history lesson love it!!!! giving your respect!! to people buried there!! thanks jordan!! 🤗👐🤗👐🤗 and 💋😘😗😚😙 peace ✌ out!❤

It’s odd to say but I’ve always found a peacefulness when I visit Arlington. My maternal grandparents and great-grandparents are there. I also had the honor of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier once.
Your Christmas tree is actually the recovered mast from the USS Maine which blew up in Havana Cuba. That mast is the monument to those who died in that explosion.
I went to DC this summer for 2 days and 1 night. I wish we had the time to go here. I went when I was in middle school but it's not the same going to DC as an adult.
I’m still trying to play catch-up watching your Vlogs. I’ve been there more times than I can count, and I’m going to be interred there when it’s my time. Might as well hang out with the best of the best for eternity.
💋Wonderful vlog Jordan. Looked forward to this 2nd part. You didn’t disappoint with your presentation which you Never do. Thank you for bringing your best each time. I wish you, Jah and your family a blessed Christmas. ~Love&Light♥️Carli

Jonathan White, son of Bewitched actor David White ( Dareen’s boss Larry Tate) was one of those lost on Pan Am 103, urn is with his father’s in David’s Mitch.
Such an interesting second visit. Interesting about Glen Miller as his plane was presumed lost in the English Channel not that far from where I live in Sussex U.K. This cemetery is certainly something to be seen. I may go one day. It’s in my bucket list. I feel sorry for the lone soldier on guard duty marching up and down all day. I wonder how many hours he has has to do that? Very good video Jordan and thanks for taking us all along.
When I was at fort belvour my father wanted me to go and see audy murphy grave I always thought he was just a cowboy movie star boy did I learn differently. Watching changing of the gaurd is very somber
, fantastic, thank you,Jordan,I live in Africa,so will never get to the USA,great history.the house at the top of the hill, behind Kennedy grave, what was that,in your other video.? Your videos are so interesting.be safe
Hi Jordan, wow, that Amphitheatre is stunning, it's a beautiful cemetery. All those hero's buried there, I take my hat off to all of them. You just don't know who you are walking past sometimes in cemeteries and whether they have a great history, do you. Great vlog Jordan.
Almost forgot, the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port is about 30 minutes from my location, it's a ways out for you, but just a thought .have a great night 👍
Actor Lee Marvin was a marine and is buried there and Maureen O'Hara who was in lot of John Wayne movies was married to a General and is buried there with him
My grandfather is buried there. He was a Rear Admiral in the Navy in WW II . He also recieved the Medal of Honor. His name is Thomas John Ryan Jr. Aug.5 1901-Jan.28,1970
Watching the guard at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier always gives me the chills!
Audie Murphy - A True American Bad Ass ! Thank you for your Service . 👍👍
It is the most spectacular place i have ever been to and i am proud to call it the final resting place of my father, who was interred in Columbarium Court 9 this past summer. Thank you for these videos there. Really makes me emotional watching.
How fitting to see this vlog on December 7th, 80 years after the attack on Pear Harbor. ..Salute... 🙏
We watched the guard at the Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier for quite some time while we were there. It was fascinating to watch his precision in his movements.
They have a training video on what these soldiers go through for the unknown soldiers! It's military all the way!
You should have been a history teacher. I am always learning something new from your streams Thank You for sharing.
Arlington is such a beautiful place. So impressive. Thanks for posting Jordan. I loved it.
Went to the tomb of unknown on our school trip and was there for changing of the guard. That is something I will always remember.
I was able to see the changing of the guard a couple of years ago, it is very humbling. The time and effort And training that they have to go through to be a guard is amazing.

My dad, Walther Guestav Langloh is buried there o Porter Drive. USN pilot crashed Sept 27, 1957. A true here.
Walther was also Naval Academy Grad of 1952.

Maureen O'Hara is there too. The cemetery is awe inspiring. Thank you for documenting as much as you did.

Matthew: Thanks for explaining what the Guard does at the tomb of the unknown Soldier! ❤💙💜
Well stated. Have always wanted to see it in person, but I don't get to travel much. I can imagine if I did get to see it in person it would bring tears to my eyes. Very emotional.
Impressive isn't it? I never failed to be amazed by the ceremony involved! What I detest is when people try to disrupt this time honored tradition!!!
My hat is off to you Jordan for doing a other great vlog of this place. Glad you went by Audie Murphy's gravesite his hometown is only a couple of hours from me. Another great vlog as always Jordan . Take care buddy.

Excellent decision to show this video today on Dec 7th, another day in History that should always be remembered.
I remember the space shuttle Columbia breaking apart over our house. At first I didn't know what it was. Then later parts of it were found in our surrounding area. This was over Texas. Such a sad and somber day.
Wow! What an experience that must have been. Though, not a pleasant one 😕😒😐!
I was in 8th grade and we watched the whole thing. So shocking when it happened.

Pappy Boyington is buried near Joe Louis too. The large naval mast behind the amphitheatre is from the USS Maine.
Didn't know that about pappy. I read his book, and have seen several videos about him. Of course " bad baa black sheep/ black sheep squadron"

In the Summer, the Tomb Guard marches for 30 minutes. In the Winter, one hour. At night 2 hours.
He shares the 24 hour shift with 4-5 other guards.
When I was at fort belvour my father wanted me to go and see audy murphy grave I always thought he was just a cowboy movie star boy did I learn differently. Watching changing of the gaurd is very somber
