Bob Carlisle is the man!!! I still have every Allies cassette, and all the CDs they released. Bobby went from Allies to Butterfly Kisses. He is such an incredible vocalist.
I got to the these guys at SUPER FEST... not sure what year late 80’s early 90’s 🤷🏽♂️ they were incredible. My parents have it on VHS I gotta get my hands on it. It’s got a drum solo in it that is still next level today. 🔥
I got the opportunity to see Allies live in 1993 before they parted ways so that Bob Carlisle could pursue his solo career full time. It was a great concert, but they failed to play the one song everyone was shouting at them (Feather in Your Cap) when Bob said they would take a request.
Thanks for posting. I saw Bob in his later years after he mellowed out a bit. It's great to to see how he could kick it in his youth. Also had a chance to meet him once and saw him about 4 times. One evening at an outdoor concert, the bugs were heavy flying around the lights. Bob chocked up after he inhaled a few of them.
Bob Carlisle could sound good if he were recorded on a wax cylinder and played back on AM radio! I think this video proves that. Still great to see anyway.

That was a definite shortcoming of most VHS recorders, narrow sound, mostly mids....
