When you’re old and gray, you’ll look back and remember a handful of holes that were the most memorable of the thousands you played. I bet that birdie on #8 will be one of them. Congrats.
is it me, or is this the first time I see real yardages approach/carry on a youtube channel, i always wonder how some youtubers hit 210 plus yards with a 6 iron and 275 with a hybrid haha. but not this video, i dig it!!
I had the privilege to play Pebble Beach maybe 20 years ago, when it was still relatively affordable ($125 I think), and … When asked what’s my favorite course, without hesitation, I say “PEBBLE BEACH”. I played it once. My wife’s asked me “Don’t you want to play it again?” I say, “No” (don’t hat to mar the memory) I can remember every hole, every single shot I made. I’ve played other great (and iconic) courses (TPC Sawgrass, Pinehurst, Blackwood Run, Torrey Pines, Troon, the Old Course at St Andrews, others) and still, Pebble Beach is my favorite. You played great on a great, tough course. Great VLOG 👊🏻 Keep up the good work. 👍🏻 And I think Nicklaus said #8 was his “favorite” (or “toughest”) par-4, not the “best” (… but I could be wrong) 🤷🏼♂️ p.s. You should have done the Tom Watson trot after your chip on #17 (even tho you didn’t hole out, like he did) 😂
Your final strokes/putting count really shows how much putting really helps you out. If I had only 29 putter strokes on my last round I would have scored a 77… instead I ended up with an 88. Yes an 88 with 40 of those being putts…. All that to say do you think you can do a video over what your putting thoughts/process is?
Drive for show, putt for dough. My mates outdrive me by at least 40 yards a hole. I out putt them every hole. And that is why I am 62 beating 35 year olds. Short game. Suggestion, imagine a bucket around the hole on your first putt and aim for that instead of the actual hole. It will leave you tap ins. Get inside 2 feet on your first putt, so really concentrate on speed rather than accuracy for the first putt. And really watch your playing partners putts to try and get the speed. It works for me and like Adam, I average 28 to 29 putts per 18. And 40% of the time will get 26 to 27. Cheers
I did a green reading video with Golf Sidekick you can find on his channel. I'll publish my own this year. And just to peg myself down a notch, putts and GIRs are (inversely) correlated. When you only hit 3 greens, 29 putts becomes far less impressive!
It was great! At most times of year, you can only book a green fee ($625) if you're also staying at the resort for a minimum of 2 or 3 nights (depending at the time of year). They ran a promotion in December that allowed you to book a tee time without a resort stay.
Hey man your vids are sick…I golfed for my high school team, and I shared your philosophy so much…just trying to make the number no matter what people say
I want to know more about your December resort stay being waived tip. Because I just called and asked about it and got the usual 24 hour call for tee time answer.
I'd say the diciest time of year is Nov-Feb. You could still get great weather at that time of the year, but you can also get skunked. The rest of the year is usually good, with the best/most consistent weather coming just after the Summer in the Sept-Nov window.@@tman984
Did you find a big difference in your yardages at pebble beach compared to kananaskis or banff? I cant remember which alberta mountain course you played
@@NotAScratchGolfer yes thats right it was a banff video i saw. Thanks for letting me know the yardage differences i appreciate it as im new to golf and only have played in alberta
Lots of talk about this in the comments. It's funny how something so innocent can stir so much interest. That's my buddy Dan (he's been on the channel in the early days)! Definitely not an intentional slight or anything.
29 putts is just absurd - business as usual for you. You should honestly do a video on just putting. I'm sitting at an 11 handicap and I average 36 putts a round. It's seriously holding me back. Would love to get that sucker down to 32.

Dude, #8 was probably the best tee to green playing I've seen from you. Solid bird on one of the greatest holes in golf. Great job!

Congrats Adam!!! Great round, amazing course!! What a birdie in hole 8!!! Pebble is in my bucket list for sure ❤
Love the fun facts!
Fantastic video. Got to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Well played
2nd time?!?!?! Wow. Hope to get out there one day and loved the fun facts throughout the video!!
I almost thought that was a repost because of how similar you started hole 1.
Different day, same golfer lol. Great video
The best RUclips channel for golf by far! I would love to play a round with you if you’re ever in the UK :-)
Thought you played pebble twice in a month but then realized it was the narrated version haha. Looking forward to what you have in store this year!
Sweet round!
Dude that tweeter on #8 was brilliant. Had to feather that thing way out the left side there like you were at the Tim Horton's Brier. 🥌
Very well scored, Adam! I especially appreciate your putting within 6 feet. That's where you are really money.

Dang Adam great round, love your attitude on the course
Fun watch!
great work adam! at least you had nicer weather than wyndham clark did last weekend at the pebble beach pro-am! :-)
Looks like you had perfect weather out there!! Thanks for taking us along!!🏌⛳
Great vid, what a course. That birdie on #8 is a major accomplishment. One small note, the PGA tour also plays #2 as a par 5.
During the US open, it's usually played as a par 4. In regular tour events, it's played as a 5.
Thanks. Definitely a birdie to remember for a lifetime! And Josh has it - Par 4 at the US Open but a Par 5 at the Pro Am.
Well played!

It shows how good Adam's putting is and that you need to work on your putting, lol.

Just started some lessons with Gordon, cannot wait for this summer in Van! Hoping to get on the course with you one day!
Love it. Not a better man in golf than Gordon!
bruh really left you hanging on the 18th green?? 🤣🤣
I noticed that too. Few other spots he seemed less than amused. How can you be a tool while golfing at pebble?
Yeah Adam must have pissed him off somehow. Due to filming? Jeez if you're like that at Pebble, imagine what he's like in every day life.
Lol that's my buddy Dan. We traveled together from Canada for this trip. He definitely was not upset with me!
Well that's good, I rewatched it three times before coming to the comment section 😂
maybe your buddy didn't like hearing "only double today" as he putted in for a triple carding 100+
Gorgeous video! Still holding out hope for the putting video :)
What’s better looking at your favourite golf course or watching you navigate it ! CONGRATS 🥳
Nice round, i played pebble a while back
Great score, getting the plugged ball out must have been joy lol..... they kill me.
Congrats Adam on the birdie on 8, I'd love to be able to play Pebble Beach one day just to experience what it is like to play holes 6 to 10
Full video is epic.
Great video.
YESSSSSS!!!!
Sunset rounds at pebble are 11/10! Best time to schedule the round.
Cheers for the bird on 8! That was righteous.
Looks amazing! What’s a round run there ? My buddy’s want to get out there for a retirement party.

So jealousy that you have played this course multiple times! You got beautiful days both times too. Nice playing!
2:52 bunker to bunker is known as a Saddam!
Very good round Adam, congratulations!
Are you on that app, Golfmetrics? I swear your putting handicap must be like a + 2 handicapper on some of these rounds haha
Thanks! I used to use Arccos. My putting handicap was indeed around a +2!
Short game and staying out of big numbers was pretty solid!
I'm curious as to what your club head and ball speeds are?
well based on his distances you can extrapolate that his driver is likely in the 95 range and his irons are around 76 club head speed
My driver SS is in the high 90s, I can get it to a max of 100. Not sure about ball speed.
I want to know more about your December resort stay being waived tip. Because I just called and asked about it and got the usual 24 hour call for tee time answer.
They ran a promotion in Dec/Jan where they waived the Resort stay requirement for booking a green fee.
is this a repost?
If not; love that we can play golf in January in CA..
Hence the high taxes
Lol this round was from Dec 24. Published an un-narrated version of this round recently.
What time of year was this? Weather looks great.
This was December 24th. We were V-E-R-Y lucky. Just as easily could have had the same weather they had on Tour last week!

I played Banff once, where the ball definitely went at least a full club longer than at Pebble and elsewhere on the coast :)

Great course! I think the Par 5's killed your scorecard that day!
Wow another one from here….let me take your spot one time..jeez.

2 or 3 nights, depending on the time of Season.
