Adam - I just want to say that your attitude in these videos has helped me become a significantly better golfer between the ears. I appreciate the game more, I shake off bad shots faster, and I'm more fun to play with because of my improved demeanor (despite my high handicap). I find myself saying "it's never too late for your best shot of the day" at least 3x a round - you need to sell tshirts! Awesome to see you playing one of our excellent Oregon courses, and would love to see another match play video between you and Diane. Keep up the awesome content and thank you for helping me learn to love this game even more.
Broke 85 after watching your videos with an 84! Previous best was 91. Love how you explained the mindset around each shot ensuring that mistakes don't compound
Your channel is great, I just started watching it. It's extremely relatable and reinforces my decision to forgo trying to go long off the tee the way I did 20 years ago, for being in play most of the time. This is a great golf Chanel Adam, keep it up.
Very instructive, as I can & do make about the same number of errors. My putting lets me down. Chipping not great. Thanks for making me feel like I can improve. Almost seems like no problem to get better.
You are blessed with a great short game...... thats really key for anyone who wants to go under 80 regularly. I think to enjoy golf you should invest in short game drills and coaching as this is the area we all can do well, course management for the rest "knowing your skill".
Great video Adam!! Last Saturday I turned a possible personal best 84 to a 88 because of poor course management!! I lost 4 shots in 2 par 5’s trying to go for the green in 2 when I always lay up and then hit a wedge in…
Thank you so much! Bought this headset a few days ago, got the G hub update and when I changed volume I thought maybe I had shocked them and fried them! Working now!
Dude - Just stumbled across one of your videos - the Langdon Farms one - but I gotta say, I really enjoy watching them. Keep up the great work man and thanks for sharing!
I started to break 80 regularly when I accepted the fact that you hit poor shots sometimes and those can get you in very bad situations. You just accept it and move on. It is no place to get angry because it just happens even best of players. Before it was easy to get angry and lose your game and double bogey rest of the round. Now I just stay calm and focus on my next shot and try to make best I can from what ever situation I'm in.
I play only from 6400 it's tips but it plays more like 6800 most of the holes are uphill. Finally drove the green on 9. It's 270 plays at 300. With a pinnacle of all things. I'm a 4.1 handicap. Was my first eagle of the year 4th of my life only played 4 years
Broke 80 for the first time this week. Took a 294 yard drive 191 yard 5 wood and a lag putt to 1ft from 42 feet to get it done, but still got it there. Thanks for the inspiration to keep grinding
aaahhhhhh, ego. gets me every time. i bought a driver to hit it farther, I hate hitting lesser clubs even though its the smart play. You are right, game plan and mindset, thats where as a 12, i mess up too much.
I fractured my clavicle in a motorcycle accident last month. This week I’m having surgery for my golfers elbow. I’m really hoping to get some warm weather golf in the summer. Wish me luck boys.
06:46 New golfer here trying to pick your brain. Why would you say left of the pin was the conservative shot vs to the right of the pin? I would think shooting over a bunker may be too risky?
My guess is on the left he was hitting directly away from the tree. He still needed to hit a pretty high lifted shot to land it soft enough to stay on the green. There is a lot more green on the left. You can see branches above him, plus if the ball goes further right at all, hits a branch, or doesn't land perfectly he is going to end up chipping.
Two questions Adam. 1) would you suggest taking a club your not confident with and using it primarily for all shots on a 9 hole course? I'm not really confident with my 6 iron. 2) do you use an app to track and calculate your handicap and if so which one? I'm trying to get a registered handicap so I can start doing events and tournaments.
Maybe* your club face is too closed on the backswing of your chips which led to that chunk on #2 - check Jimmy Bullard's lesson with Dan Grieve that dropped the other day. I paused you @ 1:53 and you seem to be presenting no bounce. *sorry - it was a great vid though
my observation has been that most mid 80's and higher guys would still struggle if they played from the forward tees. A combination of poor fundamentals and a horrible mental game as far as course management, they would still be hard pressed to break 80 honestly.
So true. I've had rounds where I've teed it forward and gone really low, but an equal number where I've still struggled when losing shots inside 100 yards.
@NotAScratchGolfer That's the rub. 100yrds in plus putting is where people really lose strokes. But I feel if men took ego out of it and played the forward tees they would see that they lack the short iron game, putting and course management.
Broke 80 for the first time ever at my home course, 4 shots better previous best. Your videos and approach to the game has been so inspiring, thanks

Love your videos, every time! Hopefully breaking 80 this year after an 81 and 3 80's!
It was nice chatting with you Adam at the turn during your round! Glad you enjoyed Pumpkin!

Great video. I’m going to break 90 this weekend using your tips on course management

Love your video and especially your voice off comments. I learned a lot from them even with my 5hc.

Brilliant RUclips Adam. Watching you work your way around the courses you play is a joy!
Can you please do a video on how you approach putting? I really admire your distance control.
Do you have any videos where you detail your routine for lag putting so well? Thanks for the video. Great work!
regularly breaking 90. I know I have an 85 in me just need to make sure I follow your advice.
Great video! Always love to see new courses featured on the channel, hoping for even more this year.
Woah welcome to Oregon! Awesome to see you play Pumpkin. Such a fun course.
Well done on a fun course Adam! The greens are typically fast at Pumpkin Ridge.
Literally one of the toughest courses in Oregon, anything in the 80s is a good score let alone under 80.

Thank you for the mind game, and putting help!
Shot a 75 yesterday, personal best on my local course. 6600 yard par 71 and I play from the tips👍
He plays from the tips everyone

Slope of 72 130 but it's a lot tougher than that

Pumpkin Ridge! Awesome round Adam. The Reserve south?
Bro your channel has literally changed how I see golf.
Those reach past and drag the ball tap ins always get me anxious Adam!

Goodluck bud
great video bro, despite you being a yank i find your content relatable, i'm currently a 23 hcp trying to break 90,love your demeanor and attitude!
Thanks, man! And for the record, I'm Canadian :p
@@NotAScratchGolfer oops my apologies for that😳
Personal best 73 today Adam.... I'm coming for you....

looking forward to meeting you at PGA West!

Great exhibition in course management. Although I have to admit I don’t feel macho playing my dink and dunk game.
Great start! I was convinced you would shoot low 70's...
Any tips for quickly/easily setting up a camera while playing with a group to not slow things down?
Was maybe the better miss on #2 to use a club that left the ball short front of green, versus trying to get pin hi?
Hey new golfer here! I have a question, why do you not seem to finish your swing most of the time? Does it affect your game at all?
Well done sir
Biggest takeaway from your videos is your ability to get GIR. Don’t get me wrong, your lag putts are money. But your GIR is your best asset, IMO.
Love playing Pumpkin Ridge!

Are you doing any other oregon courses?
damn, I would’ve bought you a beer if I knew you were in Portland
Soo I can't help but notice the different tees. some holes were blue. some were white. some were white/red. what's the deal there??
Did you play 18 from the white tees?
I tried Swing tweeks...They suggested I take up checkers ??
How to break 80: dont OB and dont 3-putt.
This is it, in a nutshell. Much easier said than done!
No double squares but there was triple thought I wouldn’t catch that huh Adam 😂
That front 9 is the story of my life.
the most important thing about breaking 80 is to play 18 holes in 79 shots or less
my observation has been that most mid 80's and higher guys would still struggle if they played from the forward tees. A combination of poor fundamentals and a horrible mental game as far as course management, they would still be hard pressed to break 80 honestly.

I said it once and I'll say it again, how to easily break 80 is skipping two or three holes. Lol
How to break 80:
1. Keep the ball in play
2. Putt well
I am trying to break 85, baby steps.
But it did teach me how to love a cheese danish
15:29 “no double squares on the card” correct except there was one triple square😂
He said "that aside" - i.e. the only course management error he made (3 wood from a bunker) resulted in the lone double square.
Ahhh, Pumpkin Ridge. Nice course, but home to the worst round of my life.
How about fixing that horrible backswing ? Probably lead to breaking 80.
