Hey guys :) I have a Q&A coming up soon to answer some of the questions that I've been asked. If there's anything you want to ask....either pop a question down below or send me a message. Take care, and thanks for watching :)
What's For Tea? What made you start this channel. And also what do you do as a job
Thanks Julie :) I'll add that to the list x
Hi again, I would love to know where your recipes came from, were they family recipes, and who taught you to cook such lovely meals? Also do you cook for a family every night or just for yourself? XX
Hi again, I would love to know where you got all your recipes from and how you learnt to cook? Also do you cook every night for a family or just for yourself? Thank you so much again xxx
Q & A coming in the New Year....I'm just forming a list of questions just now :) Thanks for watching Simone x
The Mayflower Curry mix is very good, I get mine at Home Bargains
Me too...
Just tastes like a Brechin High street takeaway from the 90’s, I make this every 2 weeks or weekly 🤪, thanks
I'm definately making this for dinner tonight. I adore chinese curry and this looks delicious. Thank you for sharing.
Just went onto find ideas for sausage and mash and clicked onto what’s for tea? Love watching your channels it helps to bring new ingredients into my home for my family... thank you they love it!! love yer wee humour at the end eat how we do with a fork... I’m hooked P.S I’ve yet to cook your macaroni and mince looks lush👌🏼 x
Hi Katy :) Thanks so very much...that means so much! Oh yes, the macaroni mince is one of our faves....it's seriously tasty! x
I made this and it was fabulous, second time i made it I added 3 heaped tablespoons of Jimmys Satay sauce to it and some green peppers, it was restaurant quality, absolutely best satay i’ve ever eaten! If you haven’t tried Jimmys Satay i highly recommended it. If you want it Chinese take away Scottish style you’re best to make a curry sauce then add the satay…You won’t be disappointed! 👍😋 Just have to learn how to do prawn crackers and i’m sorted! 😂
I’m gonna try that!
that looks epic, i love your vids, not long since subscribed so going through your vids and your so easy to listen to and cook some amazing dishes, top class lass.
Made this and it was outstanding!
Watched loads of your videos now and I really like the format, straight to the point with no fussing and messing and wholesome food using stuff that we will most likely already have - I like the unobtrusive background music too. One question, any chance you could show how you cook rice? seen it on several vids now and it always looks fluffy and not a stodgy lump.
Hi Chris :) I just cook the rice according to the instructions on the packet....it comes out the same way every time. The background music can overtake a little sometimes....it's quite tricky to get it right. Thanks for watching x
You Scot's love your food, no doubt. I was watching and tried the famous Glasgow fried chilli chips and was absolutely delicious.
I am so excited to try this. It sounds so lovely!
Looks wonderful Cheryl.
I’m going to make this. You have inspired me. I’ve never tried to make curry. Thank you!
This is amazing, never going to a takeaway again! The chicken and onions is excellent too❤
This is my next recipe to try. My partner is stuck abroad at the moment and he loves chines e chicken curry so I want to perfect this before he comes home in September. Thanks for your genius recipes Cheryl.
Made this in the slow cooker, low for 7 hours, I added coconut milk an hour before it was ready, needed a little cornflour to thicken, but it was very tasty indead. And there is enough sauce left to dip chips in! Bonus.
Thank you. Was gonna ask if I could slow cook it!
Did you use pre cooked or fresh chicken?
I used fresh chicken, but no reason not to use frozen.
If you use pre cooked, I think it would call apart.
This looks absolutely delicious; and I will be trying this tonight with my left over turkey meat from Christmas, so a very warm thank you for sharing this recipe. xx
Omg! This looks amazing, I’m salivating! Yum!
I ❤ur videos im doing a few this week lovely to hear a Scottish accent living in London apart from family its refreshing and looks great im starving 👌😂
I live in Australia and I must admit I have never tried a Chinese curry like this. I really want to give it a go but am wondering what sort of curry do you use please? We love Asian food, my favourite is Chinese, followed by Thai, Vietnamese and lastly Indian. We have an abundance of these take-aways and I love the variety. I also love Japanese food.
Gonna give it a go. Thanks!
I love your videos and I love your voice. Reminds me of my Nan.
Thank you!
Looks FAB! Wee question for you ... if you could have any 4 celebrities over for dinner (past or present) who would you invite and why? :D x
I’ve never tried curry but this looks delicious.
Fantastic WFT , Thank you

Thank you, lovely recipe xx
I'll be trying this. Thank you 😁
Made your curry yestetday it was great, had to use all spice as chinese five spice not regularly avail here in Philippines.
Love Chinese curry mmm-mmm. Would you be able to make a vanilla buttercream sandwich, like a Victoria sponge but without the jam. My favourite would love to know how to make it?
Hiya :) I've only just noticed your comment! I did make a Victoria sponge....so have a look at that, just take the jam out x
Thank you from Edmonton, Canada I am making the chicken curry right now, I hope it turns out the same as yours.
Made me feel hungry now lol
Looks good I have never heard of Sugar before in a Curry at all but hey each to there own, Yes Lee Hellams right the Mayflower Curry is very good from Home Bargains I most admit :)
Hi just watched Could you substitute garlic powder for lazy garlic which I have thank you
That looks great...ever tried adding coconut milk instead of cream?
Hi Julie...no, I've never done that! But sounds lovely :)
@@WhatsForTea Hi Julie it looks amazing but need I use the cream? It’s seems to be a bit unnecessary, I don’t think Chinese takeaways use cream?
Better than my local 🙂
I really miss my Chinese curries. The Chinese curry in Canada is nothing like back home. Thanks for the recipe. Are you from Dundee by any chance, your accent sounds like mine?
Hi Morgana :) I've lived in a few different places . I've been in Ayrshire for the past 7 years...but I lived in Edinburgh for years and also Aberdeenshire and a wee while in Glasgow, Motherwell & Spain too lol :) I'm a bit of a stray! I think I've picked up a few different accents :)
@@WhatsForTea I Knew You Had East Coast In There For Sure!
@@morganadundee7461 It's crazy how many folk mention my accent :) I don't notice it...people just can't place it! Lovely to see you x
What number would would you start off at on an electric cooker ?
Looks lovely x
Nothing like a Chinese curry, all you can taste is the Chinese 5 spice.
Tasty💚💚💚💚😝
Hi Cheryl,
This is twice now I’ve made it absolutely fab but just a tad too hot for us, which spice would you recommend reducing or leaving out? I’ve followed your recipe by the spoon !!!!!
Cheers
Chilli?
where's the peas ????? XX
Hi could this sauce be kept in the fridge for a few days? Or even frozen? Thanks
Hi Michelle :) Yes absolutely! A couple of days would be fine I think...any longer than that, I'd freeze it :) and use a whisk once it's thawed x
Note to Americans: cornflour is cornstarch (Argo brand most common).
Can you make a video on your pasta bolognaise recipe? Xx
Hi Shannon :) I'm popping up a video later this afternoon. Thanks for stopping by, lovely to see you.
I'm making this tonight lol
Oh great :) Let me know how it goes
What's For Tea? Was magic lol
Hi. Could you use fresh ginger and garlic in this? Looks delicious
How many does this serve? there's not much on that plate.
How long can you keep it for if your no going to eat it all in one night ? Thanks
Is it quite a spicy curry that? I'm not very good with hot spicy food, if it's a mild curry I can eat it.
Hi Steven :) This one is quite spicy!
Curry powder plus five-spice plus red pepper? 🌋
John Amidon not for the faint hearted John 😁👍
5 spice?
B
Can i marry you lol
Looks good but please don't cook the spoon !
Olive oil is NEVER used in any Chinese cooking.
