what a great video, you 2 are so entertaining and genuinely fascinating to watch. I recently got into the moody's and have bought their core 7 albums on vinyl over the past 6 months...not in order necessarily but started with Days, and Children and went from there. Listening to your reviews put a smile on my face because of your enthusiasm, and i will listen to them now with your observations in mind. Well done you.. Top marks!!!
Very enjoyable show and as you suggested they influenced a lot of Prog bands such as Barclay James Harvest who even wrote a song called Poor man’s Moody Blues on the BJH “ Gone to Earth “ album in response to music critics
Thanks Christopher. We're glad you enjoyed the video. The Moody's seem very underrated and it's nice to meet someone who appreciates them too. BTW, we have that BJH album. It's actually a pretty good song. 👍
To viewers new to the Moody Blues , I can also recommend “ The Blue Jays “ album that Justin Hayward and John Lodge of the Moodies made in the mid 70’s There’s a gorgeous beautiful song on the album called “ I dreamed last night “ which has a lovely sweeping orchestral arrangement This album also features their hit “ Blue guitar “ on it . So like I said , if you like these wondeful Moody Blues albums then you’ll love this Blue Jays album too !
Every Good Boy Deserves Favour is also a nod to music notation which is a mnemonic of the notes on the lines on the Treble Clef E G B D F
Hi Michael. Glad you're onboard with our content. Yes. Well spotted with that. Are you a Moody's fan?
@@SpinninProg not so much, will check them out
Tara is on a Livestream with Prog Corner today. The subject is Van Der Graff Generator. Tune in if you can. I'm sure she could use the support.
Your magnetic ink. I'm more than that. Octave must be included as great.

Another great video from you two. After watching this video and seeing your enthusiasum, I might have to do full album reactions to these albums.
Would love to see you reacting to them! :D thanks Wayne! 🙌🏻
Always a good day when one of your videos pops up on the feed 😄
Absolutely honoured to hear that, thanks so much Phil!
Great band, my gateway to Prog. Question Of Balance is my favorite, it got me through the awfulness of 2020.
Always great to find a fellow fan of this gorgeous work! 🙌🏻
brilliant..luv you guys..peace..rocky
Thanks for your kind words Rocky.
Have you heard the moody blues solo albums Tara and Dermot?
I'm afraid we have not gone into them. Would you recommend we do?
Yes , because they are just as good .
@@colin2552 That's great... Thanks Colin. We'll check them out. 👍
The Justin and John duo Blue Jays album (1975) is the best from that hiatus period (before the comeback with the Octave album).
i have to relisten to those albums again .i bought them in those years but i haven.t played them for years:.
We have been digging into them recently. Great records.
i think i know where the discussion was about 😂
Thank you. We have great fun making our videos. We're happy you enjoy them. 👍
