I had my surgery march 9th 2022. I was 265 now im 219. The surgery works. It's up to you to want to be healthy, to move better, to feel confident in yourself. I lost me leg from bone cancer and had stage 4 lung cancer, sarcoidosis, rheumatoid arthritis all over, sleep apnea and high blood pressure. This is the BEST THING I EVER DONE IN MY LIFE WAS TO HAVE THE GASTRIC SLEEVE SURGERY. It's not like you can't enjoy a burger or something from a fast food place sometimes. But this is TRULY a huge lifestyle change. Just have your mind and heart ready for it.
I’m 6 months in to the process and It’s really starting to sink in. My nutritionist started me on the pre op diet and it’s really a big change. I can’t wait to get the surgery and start my recovery process! This was a great video that showed me it will all come in time and to keep going strong 💪🏽 thanks so much 💕
I have been in the process about 7 months too. Doing my diet visits and checking all the boxes necessary to get approved for WLS. It is a really big change. I have made a channel and been doing videos of the process. I love how we started around the same time. Feel free to subscribe and follow along with me!!
@Carrie Davis 257 here.. I want this so bad. Started last year. Then I lost 50lbs after a lost in the family. I wasn't a candidate after. Now I'm sure. This is my heaviest. Dieting from 10 to now 41.
After my best friend died of gallbladder cancer earlier this year it made me more determined to be in good shape and not throw my life away. She was so young and fought so hard to live for her small child and her life was taken from her. There I was, smoking, overweight, throwing mine away. I quit smoking 2 days before she died because she was getting super sensitive to smell and I didn't want to stink. I havent had a cigarette in 5 months. In 2 days I have my surgery consult. I self dieted and got my BMI to 35.1 and am basically stuck here. Hopefully the surgery will get me past this and I can get to the healthiest I can be.
I was told i should get it and just the thought of the surgery gives me panic attack and makes me cry. I can’t do this, no matter how easy she makes it look.

Hi, how are you ? This bariatric surgery is a medical error, just as errors occur in any other profession. I have two acquaintances of mine who died because of this surgery. One had little stomach and when she went to eat a snack, the little stomach she had was unable to digest it, and then she got severe pains in her stomach, feeling sick and died. The other acquaintance of mine, became weak and when she ate, her intestines could no longer retain nutrients from food and she died of malnutrition. And when she was alive, she kept passing out fainting from weakness, even eating and eating right. Her stomach became small and so the body did not absorb food for it to survive. With so little stomach left in it, they cut a part of it out, and didn’t keep the tissue to be frozen, so that if she eventually needed to undo the surgery, put it back in it again. So how do you do it? And there was another one that I forgot to mention. That the internal scar of the surgery became very thin and broke, causing her stomach to fall into her body and she died instantly. I do not know how they have not yet banned this surgery, with so many people who give problems, after they went through it. Not to say them all. Be careful. Why go through this? Dieting, without being radical and exercising, is the best thing. And examine the patient to see why he doesn't lose weight. I currently, when I eat only two tablespoons of rice on the plate and eat at regular times. It helped me a little to maintain the weight. Hugs.
I'm so sorry for your loss but this surgery is supposed to be for people who are mentally and physically ready. Idk if you know this but you're not supposed to be eating small foods right away. You have to drink only liquids for about a month until the stomach is ready to digest actual foods starting with liquids then soft foods then lastly regular. I'm right now going through the process of the surgery 4 days after it.

Some people are losers who can't do that. People using food as a way to deal with mental issues, then they end up getting fat and sick, and the vicious cycle of self-loathing continues. The idea that genetics play a role in not being able to lose weight is absurd and not as common as people make it seem. Find something else that makes you happy besides eating and you won't get that fat. Also find people who encourage you and you won't get that fat again. If you can't, just cut the garbage people out and be happy on your own until you find better people. Losing weight takes effort.
What is the goal of this surgery? To eat less. Can you eat less even without surgery? Yes. There are several ways to trick your mind to eat less. Eating low GI food, high fibre and whole grain makes you feel full longer. Drinking plain water instead of sugary drinks avoids you from thirst. Eating less spicy food avoids you from craving for sweets. So folks, think hard before doing this surgery. It involves making *permanent* changes to your body. You'll run the risk of being malnutrition. I'd rather have a mental surgery instead of a physical one.

If you know her and her situation, answer all of my questions. 🙄
Lady Diana I’m glad you had a good experience. But you really don’t know her story. Personally I have been able to lose some weight on my own, close to 30 pounds, but because I have health issues like a pinched nerve in my thigh, that causes stinging in burning and tingling if I stand or walk more than 20 minutes, making exercise a challenge, and pcos which makes weight loss on its own difficult. You cannot always see the issues aside from a larger body. Everybody has their reasons for pursuing surgery, or choosing other methods.
I wouldn't recommend anybody do any weight loss surgeries. You can lose weight by changing your life habits. Drink water, fast reasonably, be mindful when you eat and be mindful about what you eat, exercise. It is not easy but it is the right way to actually love yourself and improve. Don't waste your money and harm your stomach with those unnecessary surgeries. You won't be able to sleep on your left side again without feeling discomfort and you won't be enjoying any of your meals.
That side sleeping once your healed good can be resumed..i am a side sleeper.. if everyone could do it changing. Thir mindset we would all be thin!! for everyone that does not work.nothing wrong with the surgeries!!
@@joanncoopertroupe3506 It doesn't work because you are addicted to bad food and don't work out. Lady, the problem is often within your mind, not with your stomach. You are still the same person with the same unhealthy habits even after the surgery. You will breed the same kind of gluttonous people because of your eating, cooking, and working out or lack of any workout choices. The same person, who no one should be taking as their role model or as their body or lifestyle inspiration until they actually change, but without a surgery. There should be rehab for food addicts, just like there is rehab for drunkards. They don't do any surgery on drunkards to "fix" them. Oh and I'm talking about your left side.

Ugh, what's your point? Good for you, you did it. Leave this girl alone, go be miserable somewhere else.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I'm not a fan of how negative you are. Not everyone is the same. Let people make their own decisions.
What an actual moron you are.
Doesn't look healthy
Surgery of any kind isn’t healthy but losing the weight is better than gaining more.
This is my second time I got referred for the surgery but I’m really scared, i already lost 76 lbs on a diet but I’m stock 🥲
