I got this surgery 4 months ago it’s definitely not the easy way out as many think yet I’m so thankful for my tool.I’ve lost over 60 pounds already and just during this months my life has changed so much for the better❤️
I'm also a mother of 6. The recovery was so painful that if I could I rather do over my 6 labors one right after another then to go thru this. But it's been 3 months since surgery and I have lost almost 50pounds. I'm just worried being that I can't hold anything down that I'll get too skinny
@@suzyq6664 umm just the eating on stage 1&2 more of liquid diet like chicken broth sugar free drink, puddings, jello etc im a picky eater already so I didn’t like it byt stage 3&4 is more of a relief I’m on stage 4 already n it been a month and like 3week
She’s young and energetic.. they should refuse this surgery to people unless the person is having difficulty walking/standing. This is the easy way out and not a good idea because people who do this, still have to know it’s a complete lifestyle change as far as eating habits.. they’re changing their body, not the way they think. Getting slim starts in the kitchen, not in an operation room.
They don’t give this surgery out to patients just because they’re overweight. They have to go through classes and loose weight prior. Some programs include a period where they have to do partial liquid diet and loose a certain number of pounds depending on their BMI, psychological eval, to even qualify to get scheduled for surgery. This is a beneficial tool for many people that vastly improves their life, so that they can start to exercise and move around without hurting themselves with the amount of weight they are carrying. There is nothing wrong with loosing weight this way, as long as the weight is lost.
A person is more than their brain and a persons body may fight a brains will. Surgery changes a person’s appetite and alters a person’s metabolism. Maybe, if she ran a marathon every day, she could maintain a healthy weight without surgery - but that isn’t sustainable. Look at the stats of those on the “biggest loser” who lost the weight but couldn’t maintain the weight loss. It is your prerogative to be judgmental, and instead of researching the science - make such claims. However, I for one will continue to listen to the medical experts who have evidence of extending people’s lives by treating obesity rather than criticizing their willpower.
Thank you. I needed to hear. Just had my surgery. Amen ❤
