    Thanks! I lived in Denmark for a short time long ago and have always wondered how to make this. I am originally from India, where we also love buttermilk in various forms! 😄

    Julia, this is beautiful for sure with the cookies swimming in the buttermilk cream! I second what OldManCooking said: "if I lived in Denmark, I would gain lots of weight!" LOL! Thanks for the great show my friend!

    Very interesting and it looks so pretty! My grandmother used to eat this with cornbread on top, and I thought it was the weirdest thing! Guess it's not so weird lol. Does the sourness of the buttermilk come through, or does the sugar cancel that out?

      Cookin' Amigo cornbread on top?! okay... that is weird haha :-D It's a sweet and delicious dessert, nothing sour about this :-D the sugar does it all!

    Buttermilk isn't really available in the UK that I've seen so I'm wondering about other alternatives of things that I can use instead.

    Det er super fedt! Hvorfor på andre videoer de bruger æggeblommer og du har ikke brugt nogen?

    • @Onekitchenblogfood
      @Onekitchenblogfood  8 лет назад

      +gabrieltavares18 Fordi den kan laves på flere måder. Personligt bryder jeg mig ikke om koldskål lavet på æg, men det er en smagssag. Jeg er vokset op med denne her :-D

    In another video of how to make this, they used vanilla beans instead of vanilla extract. Do you prefer the extract? Tak!

    • @Onekitchenblogfood
      @Onekitchenblogfood  8 лет назад

      +Lene Watson Yes I do, if it is good quality vanilla extract, then that is way better than just the seeds from pods, because the extract has a stronger vanilla taste. If you cannot find good quality vanilla extract, then just use the beans :-D
