Someone else mentioned the guy on the horse is José Gervasio Artigas who led the fight for Uruguay's independence so naturally the square you were in is Plaza Independencia. Thank you for the video.
I really enjoy your travel vlogs. I would love to hear more about how you plan your trips, especially with neurodivergencies, it's always something I struggle with and would enjoy hearing your perspective if you feel inclined to share.
Per your comment at 5:52. That building you saw is called a Gasometer. Once upon a time, I think before the 1960s, they were a very common sight everywhere, including in American cities I believe they housed tanks that fed into the gas system which connected to people's stoves as it would have been before electric stoves became common. If you travel, including in Europe, you occasionally come across them though those that remain are generally repurposed for other things.
I think the flowers at 17:35 are ranunculus. They have that sort of rose/peony look but with no fragrance, and lots of beautiful colors. I have chronic pain issues too, when I exercise a lot, like all that walking. It sucks and when I travel I just have to adjust my expectations and do the best I can. Hope you were able to recover! Looks very cool...
I thought they were maybe ranunculus but I've never seen them that short. And yeah I am lucky in that most of my chronic pain comes from sitting so when I travel I'm often able to do more/have less pain that when I am home
We all need a stone tower room and fountain in our lives for sure!
Hi Haley Marie. I enjoyed your second part of your trip. Seeing the museums parks and artitecture. Can't wait for part 3.

That "guy on a horse" monument is José Gervasio Artigas, the father or libertador of Uruguay
Wow that blouse really turned out amazing and looks great on you
Thanks!

I'll add this to my video idea lists!
