A lot of people complain about Seal and Shine streaking. I have been using it twice a month for 2 years and the only time I had streaking was the first time I used it. The first time I used it I followed the package directions. Two sprays per panel. I got progressively more and more streaking as the applicator got too wet. Now I use 2 sprays on the first panel and one spray per panel for the rest of the vehicle. No streaking at all.

I also use a square microfiber applicator. I lightly dampen it with distilled h2o and spray S&S directly on the pad and apply in a cross-hatch pattern. I find I have a bit more control with amount to be applied and is more economical. As with the Ceramic and Graphene lines from TW I initially buff with a damp microfiber cloth and then a fluffy. Although the damp towel wipe is an extra step it is easy and quick. I find it knocks back any potential streaking and high spots. I still find S&S the 1 great go to and is very economical.
...and is a great protectant for the wheels!!

I have a client with aftermarket bbs wheels in which I applied a ceramic coating. It lasted not the longest which I expected to happen. Surprisingly the S&S out lasted that coating on the wheels!

@@mr.lad-detailingtricksntip am a big fan with it on the wheels 4 sure. Also...as a dressing for engine bay detailing is killer - underside of the hood, fender walls/shock towers, plastics... It really holds up and def aids in ensuing clean-ups!

when it comes to washing microfiber cloths, does the stuff come out 100% because it doesn't come off easily either?

So sorry about your close friends passing. There will probably not be a day that goes by that you will not think about him and as tough as it will be sometimes work even harder than I'm sure that you already do for him and dedicate the successes of each and every day of your life in honor of him, his life and the close friendship that the two of you shared for so many wonderful years. Stay strong my friend!!!

    Condolences for your friend, Buddy!
I have a question, Can I use seal and shine as a topper for Super hard shell? I use Ice and it gives me fantastic results but I was curious to try SnS, But my car has a base coat of Super hard shell already and I'd rather not strip it off.
    Any advice?

Sorry I’m getting back to this so late. Thank you for the condolences! I miss him even after a few years…
Short answer is yes you can use s&s as a topper. The only thing is that you won’t get the full benefit of s&s since it’s known for its longevity and hard shell doesn’t last as long if I’m correct would be durability. I’d prefer s&s as a base coat and ICE as a topper

Hey obviously this video was made a long time ago and I have no clue if you'll see this/care but I have a quick question and can't really find an answer, I was just wondering if after applying the seal and shine you could apply something like meguir's hybrid ceramic wax coating? Or are u not supposed to do both/mix them

My pleasure! Yes the blue spray will work as long as you give it a good rinse! I found that megs hybrid ceramic wax works as a great topper for a lot of different sealants!

Synthetic X-press wax? You can but TW Ice Spray Wax is a better combination.

I think the problem with seal n shine streaking is because what I see in the video is you are using way too much. You only need two very light sprays (more of a mist actually) per panel. Your applicator pad was way to wet with seal n shine.
With seal n shine less is more. If you think you did not put enough on it's probably too much!

    • @mr.lad-detailingtricksntip
      @mr.lad-detailingtricksntip  Год назад

      I like that strategy!
So it seemed to work for me decently well. The first time I ever used this product I made the mistake of spraying 4 sprays directly on the panel.
