Two days ago I had the fraxel dual laser procedure and I'm using the Alastin Nectar which was recommended by my derm. This stuff feels just wonderful when I apply it to my "wounded" skin. Thank you for the detailed explanation of how it works to facilitate healing. I like it so much I may continue using it after I heal from the laser treatment. It is expensive but I justify it by saying if I'm already spending so much on the laser procedure, I want to optimize my results going forward in the coming months. Also, thank you to others who suggest mixing the Serum with other products like moisturizers.
Wish I had seen your video sooner! I only started the Alastin nectar 3 days prior to Erbium laser and then used for 2 weeks post-procedure. I 100% agree with you about the benefits of Alastin. It made my skin gorgeous prior to the procedure and I swear I could feel a difference in my skin. If I could afford it I would incorporate it into my regular skincare routine. Very much appreciate your thorough explanations about how the laser works and wet healing. Excellent video!
After my deep plane facelift my doctor gave me an Alastin pack with the nectar, moisturizer, cleanser, and sunscreen. I think it’s working. I’m 21 days post op and my healing is going very well. I have very sensitive skin and was concerned about irritation but I haven’t had any.
Thank you so much for the information. I have used the Nectar post laser treatments and had great results. I had no idea it could be amplified by starting before procedures. I have a laser treatment next month and will start Nectar 18 days before. Thank you!!
Just had a laser treatment done on face. What do you think about using the Alastin moisturizer on first and then putting Vaseline on the face right after?
Thank you for your information. This was very informative. I am trying the Lutronic Genius. Wow did my face swell. Eye area it’s getting better. I am glad you explained this were I understand. I have 2 more times to go a month apart. I had to go back in because I was worried on how I looked Scary. It’s too bad this product is so expensive it did feel really good as they gave me a tiny bit. Hopefully you might be able to respond on this procedure. Thanks
Thank you so much for this video! I am having microneedling next week & have ordered the skin nectar for post-procedure. Do I use my moisturizer before the nectar? Or after?? Thank you again!! 💜
Excellent video Dr. Ania Marie! Somehow my previous comment was deleted. Anyway, this video is very informative. The "wet healing" makes perfect sense. I'm ordering the Alastin Nectar and can't wait to try it. Thank you for your excellent content and recommendations! ❤
I bought the skin recovery complex. I only use it at night because of the price. Is this enough to see anti-aging results? So far I feel like it has helped me tolerate my tretenoin better. Love ❤️ your videos so much!!!!
I generally only use it once a day as well, except for after procedures. I would say any little bit helps but in the end skin care will never give the results of a face lift. lol
I absolutely love the Alastin line. The nectar is my favourite, I use it all year round, twice a day. In the morning I mix the nectar with the restorative complex. At night I mix it with my retin a.
@@iSpritz no, not all by itself I mix it with the nectar 1 pump of each in the mornings and 2 pumps of just the nectar at night. The complex is more like a serum . Hope that helps
dr. ania: my derm FINALLY approved me for microneedling (yay!) my appointment is in 3 weeks. it's going to be normal microneedling (no RF) because according to her, i have no laxity to address. i'm grabbing the skin nectar today, and am IN LOVE with the restorative complex as well. is it too intense to apply my cyspera in the morning? if not, at what point should i introduce it? i am addressing texture and hyperpigmentation. THANK YOU!!!
Hi new subscriber here! I am having Ellacor soon and my dermatologist recommended both products besides Plated intense. If I have to choose one of the Alastin product which one will you recommend? Thanks
I have a question, do you recommend before any laser treatment, should i stop using the restorative skin complex 2 weeks prior, and switch to the regenerating sking nector?
Great video Dr.Marie. I do shave my facial hair once a month, and use the skin nectar for a week after the shaving to help the healing. Do you suggest using it before too? Also, it stings my skin sometimes when it’s irritated , is that normal? Thanks
Do you think it’s more beneficial to use the Nectar over the Restorative Skin Complex if I am not planning on having any procedures soon? I’ve listened to you explain about the TriHex Technology & antioxidants these products contain, but would I still use a vit C in my regime? I really enjoy learning from you!
You can use either. The Nectar is very soothing and gentle. Also water free so it has a silicone feel. The complex feels more like a moisturizer and can sting sensitive irritated skin. They both have the same amount of TriHex
How soon after microneedling can I put on Vaseline? My concern was using Vaseline too early and having it seep into the micro channels of the skin. Thank you!
The vaseline is occlusive so it sits on the skin like a bandaid, it won't penetrate but you can wait a few hours. Usually the microneedling is followed by a serum, booster or PRP so after a few hours or in the evening
Does the new ultra light cream provide the same level of tri hex technology? I have used nectar - maybe like 5 bottles. Yikes! Not sure if I see a major change but I love how it feels and as a break out prone skin person I cling to things that do not break me out. It feels like a cloud - I do live it. Would like to try the new ultra light one.
Hello Dr, I’m starting Altreno this week, I am not sure if I should use the Alastin regenerating nectar or the restorative skin complex. I’m not sure if nectar would be too much for Altreno. I appreciate your guidance. Thanks
Sorry for any confusion!!! Your doctor is CORRECT. For best results, studies have shown, nectar should be started 2 weeks prior to procedure. That way you get the most benefit in terms of collagen stimulation. Then you continue the product after the procedure.
Hi just discovered your channel, what are you thoughts on daily coconut oil full body lathering as lotion, not a fan of greasy thick lotions and found clean organic coconut oil to be best skin treatment yet. Thanks in advance.
Getting ready to have halo and was thinking about trying the alastin recovery balm for after care. Any thoughts on that product? Cant use the nectar unfortunately as My super sensitive type 1 rosacea flared up when I tried it.

“Wet healing” love that and will share with others! Thank you! 🧘♀️
lol, that sounds funny but I know you know what I mean! 😘
I am about 23 days out from a laser treatment and boy am I glad I watched your video. Thank you so much for making this content.
I'm so happy to hear that! Thank you ❤

As always, such fantastic information ❤

I will be using this going forward as I get regular laser facials and I need it I love this video
I loved this video. Thorough and precise, thank you for explaining the science!
Just had a laser treatment done on face. What do you think about using the Alastin moisturizer on first and then putting Vaseline on the face right after?
Wow I never about the benefits of Vaseline! I’ve always used acquaphor before i used the Alastin nectar. Thanks always learning from you ❤️
Aquaphor is an occlusive so the nectar will have a hard time penetrating through it to get into the skin. Remember occlusives always go last ❤️
@@theocbeautymd love my Alastin ❤️❤️

I had a deep chemical peel 1990 and doctor told me to use Crisco and it worked great

How do you use the nectar pre and post bbl laser treatment? Do u use it alone or if not where do u put it in your skincare routine??
Another very informative video.
Thank you for great information ❤️
You are so welcome!
Love the video! Very informative!
Thank you for great information.

Glad you love the restorative complex! I would include these questions as part of your treatment plan with your dermatologist. 🥰

You could if you wanted to but it's up to you. As far as it stinging, no it should not sting. The restorative complex could but the nectar should not.

No, unfortunately, it has less TriHex
Hello Dr, I’m starting Altreno this week, I am not sure if I should use the Alastin regenerating nectar or the restorative skin complex. I’m not sure if nectar would be too much for Altreno. I appreciate your guidance. Thanks
I would use nectar because its for very sensitive skin and will offset the side effects of altreno and soothe the skin 😘
Is it worth using this before/after a chemical peel? Or is that just a waste of this precious product?
Absolutely!!!
@@theocbeautymd Thank you!
I was given Alastin TriHex Transition Dio prior to my partial face and neck lift. Do I continue after the procedure and if so, when do I start again?
My doctor told me to start using 2 weeks before my procedure but this seems like it’s for after.. now I’m confused
Sorry for any confusion!!! Your doctor is CORRECT. For best results, studies have shown, nectar should be started 2 weeks prior to procedure. That way you get the most benefit in terms of collagen stimulation. Then you continue the product after the procedure.

If it works for you then absolutely. The face is a different story because the face produces much more oil.
I only use Cerave healing ointment, so much better than Vaseline or aquaphor.
Yes, it's good too. There are several options for occlusive ointments and Cerave is a good one.
Getting ready to have halo and was thinking about trying the alastin recovery balm for after care. Any thoughts on that product? Cant use the nectar unfortunately as My super sensitive type 1 rosacea flared up when I tried it.
That is so unfortunate. It's hard to say since you are so sensitive.
Can the Nectar be used on upper & lower eyelids?
yes but still use sparingly and avoid getting in the eyes
I had fractora RF 7 days ago, I’m currently still using alastin regenerating nectar, how long do I supposed to keep using it after procedure?
until the skin heals. about a week
Thank you for your video
Thanks for watching!
