Thank you Dr. Ania for another great video! Finding an injector that is really knowledgeable about injection techniques can be a huge problem. As an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who worked for a plastic surgeon for many years, I am fully aware of the 'training' sessions (or lack thereof) that the product companies who supply these products offer. I live in Michigan, and that is why I travel to Pennsylvania when I need Botox, etc. Much like you, there is a physician there who has devoted her practice to anti-aging techniques and has had in depth education on injectables. I wish I lived closer to you!
Thank you for the comment. It is so true, the education and understanding in this industry largely comes from commitment and searching for great education. There is a lot of it out there. But there are also easy ways of not get well trained yet be able to treat patients. Scary!
you're so well-informed and so clear in your presentation. well done for tackling a complex topic beyond just the surface, a lot of content creators could learn from you!
Thank you for this video . I just finished watching you on the subject of fat loss over on Claudia Glows Chanel . I have been having my sculptra done by shino bay Aguilera for years now , and he is the only Dr . I will allow to inject filler under my eyes and it lasts up to 3 years ! I was born and raised in Cali . An original Valley girl lol and have been spending the rest of my life reversing the sun damage done by basking in the sun in my earlier years . I’m in Florida now and at 39 (I am 66) I did a chemical phenol peel by a plastic surgeon under sedation . It was horrendous but the best thing I could ever have done . Now I maintain with sculptra , everything else at home , skincare micro needling , devices . Surgery is scary and you opened my eyes about having an immune issue to lay off procedures until your level thank you . Happy Healthy New year 🎉
huge thank you. The information is beneficial. And, thank you for the information you shared with me months back on Renuva. I've still not gone to a doctor in Houston. Likely I'll reach out to you again for a consult and potential visit.. Wish you were closer! Happy New Year💖
I always wondered about this. I have so much to learn about aesthetic injectables. Thank you very much for making this educational video. EXCELLENT information.
Dr. Ania, Ibreally enjoy the way you deliver the information,tl thank you for the effort. Can you please make a video expalining where not to inject Sculptra? And is it better to get Sculptra by an i jector that uses ultrasound?
The general rule of thumb is to never inject around the eye or mouth. Too much movement can lead to nodules. Because Sculptra is in water, you don't necessarily need ultrasound but the injector has to know where the needle is and should aspirate every time.
Thank you for an excellent video on Sculptra! This might be a tough question to answer, but how can we know we are going to the right injector? How can we be sure we will be left with little to no scarring?
It is so hard to know. I do have a help sheet to find a good injector that you can download for free. It's not a guarantee but it gives some pointers. stan.store/Aniamariemd You can also ask the injector about dilution. The new 9mL dilution seems to have a lot less side effects , probably because the product distributes more evenly. AS far as scarring. You can't really know but you can look at how you scar from scrapes and cuts and that might give you a rough idea.
Great video Dr Ania. Can you explain what is the difference between collagen production between these 2 techniques or injection planes of sculptra and if you would prefer one over other?. Thanks so much
Its about assessing the face and determining if the problem is bone loss or skin thinning. You always want to treat the area that needs help and that's how the treatment is planned.
Why is it so hard to locate information on Renura? Is renuva a good alternative to Sculptra for folks who have not had significant results with Scultpra?
When assessing a patient for sculptra, the focus tends to be volume and skin laxity rather than sun damage or texture. Lasers and peels are better tools for texture as well as retinoid acid.
I do have significant scarring in my forehead after fat grafting for acne scars. It’s caused significant dents and bumps. I’ve gone in for revision and had HA filler injected (with the help of ultrasound in order to avoid complications). At this point, the best thing to do is an open brow lift surgery to smooth out the muscles and bumps. One surgeon won’t do it because she isn’t experienced with open brow lifts. Another refuses because he’s scared of the different topography. What would you recommend I do?
@@theocbeautymd thanks for the reply. It’s not necrosis. Fat grafting in the forehead is notorious for not settling smoothly. It’s adhered to certain muscles in an uneven manner. I looked start outta Star Trek for a while. The only provider I know who does ultrasound to avoid arteries does not do open brow lifts. Are there others who utilize ultrasound in this fashion? (Dr. Stella in Seattle pioneered this technique of ultrasound assisted filler injections. I’m glad I found her because the forehead is such a dangerous place for filler, especially in strange topography.)
most people don't, because a proper informed consent is not done. This would be part of the conversation when getting consent from the patient.@@pinkLyfe12
Doesn’t Sculptra help you to avoid having to get a facelift? If he had been doing it since 37 to 55 why would he still need a facelift? Honestly asking.😊
Couldn't concerned doctors use an elastography to see how much scar tissue a patient has? That way they would know who is an isn't a good candidate for a face lift.
In my opinion, if patients with history of facelift are candidates for a revision surgery, then all sculptra patents are candidates as well. There is so much more scarring in a patient that has had a facelift. Ultimately, I think it is based on individual surgeons rather than patients.

Hi Lisa . He is located in Ft . Lauderdale
Oh you are in amazing hands. He is one of my gurus! So talented and brilliant!

Incredibly informative! Thank you for expanding on this topic!
Glad it was helpful!

Is there a way to screen for scarring before performing a face lift?
Great information! Can you please make a video about prophilo and nucleofill?

Great video! Thank you. I have had Sculptra once. This is good information to help make future decisions.
Does PRP and PRF cause scaring?
And Thank you for the amazing content!
They should not, they are your body's natural products. The only potential scarring would be from cannula or needle technique.
You look so beautiful Dr. Ania. 😊
Thank you for the amazing educational content 🤓
Thank you!

In which layer is sculpta correctly injected?
Greetings from Austria?🌸
Just the way I showed it on the video. Right underneath the skin and on periosteum
Very informative! Thank you! Do implants cause scaring?
Anything that cuts scars but the scar can be tiny
Hi doctor, could you please make a similar video about Endolift and Ellacor?
Thanks for the idea!
If someone is not interested in facelift but only wants fillers for rest of dere life which one is better? Sculptra or juvederm?
Great video Dr Ania. Can you explain what is the difference between collagen production between these 2 techniques or injection planes of sculptra and if you would prefer one over other?. Thanks so much

What are your thoughts on Sofwave? I really can’t find any research on it.
Its focused ultrasound so it cooks down (coagulates) your deep tissues into a scar
Doctor, can you get scarring from filler?
If we are talking about HA filler, generally no.
Thanks for this great video❤️
You are so welcome!
Another great and very informative video.❤️
Thanks so much!

If it's fat you want then yes! It helps grow your fat
Super Dr Ania very interesting video
Glad you liked it
Hi! What about skin boosters like Jalupro or anything that contains noncrossed ha? Does this make facelift more difficult to do? Thanks
wondering if you've used Sculptra for superficial texture problems from aging and sun?
When assessing a patient for sculptra, the focus tends to be volume and skin laxity rather than sun damage or texture. Lasers and peels are better tools for texture as well as retinoid acid.

She is incredible and yes the forehead is high risk@@graceg3250
So painful in the temples
😖
They say it’s all fillers and that they migrate. Is supposedly not just sculptors.
Does Ultherapy cause fibrosis
Absolutely. The focused ultrasound waves essentially cook the tissue and then it scars down. The medical term is coagulation.

no because they just want to charge for a revision
Can you first explain to the listeners WHAT Sculptra is? Thanks
Yes, I should have mentioned my previous video. Here you go;
