This is very informative because tomorrow is my 1st infusion. I found out about this by going to hospital for something that had nothing to do with this. I was just getting routine lab work. They come to me after about 30mins with a wheel chair. I thought it was a new routine thing since I hadn't seen a doc in over 4yrs. Anyway they said we're going to take you to a room get you set up for a blood transfusion. Needless to say I was a bit shocked. Told me my hemo whatever was really low. I said ok, no ty I'll schedule. Anyway they said we highly recommend you not leaving without getting it right now. Couldn't believe I was standing on my own. So after t blood transfusion of course I kept up with labs so now they recommended infusions. I've also recently been diagnosed with cervical cancer so it's kind of a dbl hit for me. Sorry so long just thought I'd share n thank you for your video. God is great and all will be well 🙏
I just got my infusion today. I just got tired of being tired and people call you lazy even though you want to do so many things in your head, but your body won't let you.
I so feel you. I'm tired of being tired. I've had depression issues. But what I feel now isn't really depression but lethargy, tiredness, lack of motivation etc. I just booked my blood tests today and I'm ready for an infusion if I need one. I've had low iron but my GP always says gives me 3 months supplements and leave it for a while. I have vitamin d3 deficiency as well. This time around I'm taking charge of my own health cos yikes!
@@ghayahyousef1649 found out I had very low Vitamin D. Then I took a couple of injections to bring myself to acceptable levels and now I take one every 3 months (when I remember). I feel much better. But still do feel low now and again but its manageable.
@@teem783 my levels of vitamin d are 17 and my iron levels are low I got an infusion , some people are recommending I go and get shots , I have low energy levels , extreme fatigue and dizziness all the time!! But I’m not sure if it’s from the iron or vitamin d the doctors are telling me different things
I had my 2nd iron infusion today and it definitely went better than the first one and I actually feel better tonight than I did for the first one!! Hope you’re doing better now.
The first time I had my infusion I felt like I had been in a car wreak hurt all over couldn't get out of bed, bad bowel movements falling asleep on the toilet but I went for the second one and was fine went on to have 6 more, A year later I had to have 5 and found out Friday I have to have 5 once again.
My iron is low I'm getting my first infusion next week. I been so sleepy, weak, body hurting and just feeling drain. Went to the Er a few months ago cause I felt dizzy on a hike and was told my iron was very low.I try to take the iron pills but the made me sick. I have uterus fibroid and loss alot of blood doing my cycle. I have alot of blood clots when I have my period. Hopefully I will get my life back on track after I gain 50 pounds just from being lazy and not doing my regular exercise. I cant even walk my dog without feeling weak or like I'm going to past out.
I’m scared to get my iron infusions! Can anyone tell me if it made them gain weight?!! That is my biggest concern because I know the doctors gaslight you into thinking it never happens although sometimes it does. I gained weight on iron pills and they did not work so now they want me to get a blood infusion.
@@Shalline100 some people had an anaphylaxis reaction. On my second dose I had a reaction but it was about 24hr later. So this time I will get Benadryl, and prednisone before I have this dose.
@@Shalline100 I know you are. Ask for something to help with any reaction. Also once you get the infusion inform the nurse that you are very nervous and you would like for her to sit with you for 15min while it start to infuse. What other option you have? Me I didn’t have another option beside a blood transfusion which I really didn’t want. My body doesn’t absorb iron effectively by the pills and diet.
