As a 16 year old about to get their first infusion in 2 days this really helped, I've been struggling with low iron since I was a kid and its really the only option I have left and its scary but its for the best

@@aj.meso26 it went really well, I've already noticed mild improvements. I'm in a lot less pain and my nurse was amazing and I get my second dose of iron in a few days

I got my first iron infusion last week ago! And I also got the second iron infusion, and I did wonderful, even though I fainted after the iron infusion. It’s alright! I am all better now!

When I go to infusion, I'd often have a good snack of cheese sticks and ginger ale and chocolate pudding, and I would also get to see one of my favorite nurses at infusion,
    Anne Steele.
I would put my arms around her and give her a hug, and that also felt good.
"I love you, Anne," I'd say.
"I love you too, buddy, "
    Anne said.
"Pat me on my back, " I said.
Sometimes, Janet would be with me.
"Can I have a hug, too??"
    she said.

@@gonzaloon yes. Had this happened even 100 years ago I doubt I would be alive at this point. I have CVID so there is no cure. Only IVIG every month and I get IV fluids daily for POTS. Can’t work anymore either especially in healthcare because any common cold usually turns into pneumonia. So many hospitalizions. Some of my pneumonias were quite bad and I don’t want to think how bad they could have gotten without IV antibiotics, steroids, and nebulizers. Had sepsis 4 times with 1 nearly putting me 6 feet under. I don’t stress about it but I try to be careful.

@@debrakleid5752 i’m so sorry that you’re going through this, it’s not easy at all to live with life long diseases. especially when it depends on constant IV fluids and infusion therapies. i hope one day you will get to experience ease during these hardships, and if you have a family or friends, enjoy the pockets of joy that comes by. sometimes i feel all that really keeps me going are my friends and my cat, i get so many good moments with them i sometimes forget about my constant health issues. i also hope you don’t feel alone in your struggles, it helps to know that someone out there also understands the complications and suffering. i pray & wish for your ease. 🩷

I see it’s been a year since you posted your comment, but hoping you’ll see this. I will be getting my first Reclast infusion very soon. Can you please tell me more about the side effects you had ? My Dr said side effects don’t last long, and the pros definitely outweigh the cons for treating my osteoporosis. Rheumatologist wanted me to get a Prolia injection but it’s $850 even with Medicare Advantage plan 😢
