Exactly how I shoot a button I’ve been shooting Carter buttons for over a decade. I just made the switch from the Wise Choice to the UV button. I’ve been playing around with their hinge 2 for two years. Now I got the pair. Loving the UV button.
UV will put the hook almost 1/2" further away and much more over the middle finger. If you shoot long D-loop already, you can pick UV and probably shorten the loop a little. If you're already on very short D-loop, Stan is probably better option.
All of you salty about the price. Bow hunting/shooting is a hobby; the gear you choose is all personal preference. No one owes you anything. If they (UV) decides to make a high-end product, they also get to set their price. Stop whining about the cost. Cost too much? Then buy something you can afford and move on. SMH

Im done with those overpriced stuffs, and happy to use some great product with sanlida, and stuffs like that , without killing your wallet and working and performing as well as those brands
What you are describing is a release where the hook completely captures the D loop when it’s locked. This is an open hook, which some consider to be faster and cleaner at releasing the D loop. Without the spring clip you can’t hook and hang an open hook release and expect it to stay on.

I shot one today at Lancaster and you can see where the extra money is going. It's one of the best engineered releases I've ever shot. I also have the Stan Onnex thumb but prefer shooting the Ultraview Hinge over the Onnex Hinge. Stan really missed the mark with that one. So same idea that Stan went for with the Onnex line but done much better in my opinion.
Interesting. I have been shooting a Stan Onnex thumb for sometime and before that I was shooting the UV Hinge 2. I still occasionally shoot the UV as it shoots very good. Today I just picked up a Stan Onnex Hinge and like it better than the Hinge 2. The fact that both Onnex's feel exactly the same is a big win in my book. I like some things on the UV better but overall the Onnex has my vote. The shorter neck on the Onnex matches up better than the UV. For me, the Onnex hinge groups better. I ordered a UV thumb this morning and cancelled it this afternoon after shooting the Onnex hinge. I had intended to try both combo's and see which pair was better but I am sticking with the Onnex for now but look forward to trying the UV thumb when the opportunity presents itself.
If they would make it cheaper, so many more people would buy it and it would make more money for them in the end. I have the money and could afford it, but the companies who price things like this won’t get my business. I buy bows now when they are 5 years old. They are always in almost new shape, and I get them at half the price. New and current stuff isn’t always better either.

I remember reading in the magazines years ago, about a release aid process by one of the veteran bowhunters ,he also shot tournaments as well, what this shot release process consists of is,cause apparently the ultraview button is designed with plenty of workable slack, but this is purely experimental, for anyone who has possible money to burn, buy 3 ultraview button's, adjust each release differently as in Heavy, medium and light, trigger travel and pressure, this principle would be giving your mind and as well your muscle memory a chance to recondition your sensitivity for a much more lighter touch of much like a sniper squeeze, your not supposed to anticipate your release, slow down your shot, aim for the middle of the middle of the middle, and rotate your releases, try not to get complacent with a lazy habitual release, developing bad habits will always go against you,
