Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included ruclips.net/user/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.
You are my favourite restoration artist! Your repairs are invisible. What a talent! I was sad to see the little monster go, but so happy to see you let it live in your shop. Pity I live so far away…
You must surely love your work----otherwise, you wouldn't have such beautiful pieces when you finish! This is beautiful! Your workmanship is fantastic.
Seeing the little monster being sanded away reminded me of returning to my childhood home and realizing my dad had removed the wallpaper with my toddler drawings on it during reno. Beautiful outcome though!
So I'm guessing the original knobs were 'Bakelite"? Whatever they were, so glad to see you replicate them instead of changing them all to new knobs. Brilliant job, as always. You're the best!
Yes, the bakelite official name was polyoxybenzylmethylenglycolanhydride :) It was first time for me making those, so very interesting for me too. The originals are pretty fragile and there are no replicas on sale.
Vanity Dresser? Looks more like an old fashioned display cabinet. Kind of like you'd see in a department store back in the 30s or 40s. Probably have hats or purses displayed in it. Whatever it is, it's beautiful and I loved watching you restore it.
Furniture restorers are like Art restorers... U hav to be a mason, carpenter, chemist, painter etc etc. Beautiful work, as always. Perfect for display in some fancy boutique. ❤️🇺🇲
You never cease to amaze me! Couldn't figure out how you were going to replicate the knobs on the drawers. Then I realized you were making a pattern! You are so talented!
It's probably silly, but I imagine the furniture as a person coming into the shop all hopeless and battered, to be restored to newness and marvelling at how fine they are now!
Thank you for giving these old things new life, it's so rewarding to see these damaged things beeing restord to near new condition giving them a 2nd go
I tip my hat to you can’t believe it’s the same piece of furniture very educational. Always looking forward to looking at your videos keep them coming buddy thank you for sharing.
I feel like an apprentice learning from the best. I adore your presentation....no distracting sounds....talking and music nixed for simple calming sounds of the shop. Much appreciated.
Art Deco furniture makes my heart swoon 💓. Your craftsmanship is impeccable, and your process to show HOW you do your restorations is better than anything or anyone else I have found. THANK YOU for the instructions, and so much respect to you and your abilities.
Resin is so useful for that. I build models, and I've gotten kits that parts were lost 20+ years ago. Casting the missing parts has been a lifesaver for me.
Beautiful restoration as always... Here in America these were called the dressing tables. They were mostly where the lady would put her fancy looking perfumes & creams ; as well as her most beautiful \ expensive jewelry .. using it almost as a display case
Excellent restoration. Interesting way to replace the drawer pulls. Very innovative. I’ve never seen a dressing table like that before. It was very different from the usual ones you see. I like it. My only complaint is your video wasn’t long enough. I so love watching your videos that when they are less than 20 minutes I get cranky. 😉 Can’t wait for your next one.
Sometimes a monster has to die to make things right! Another stunning restoration brother, bravo! Thank you again for your awesome videos. God bless. Rev. D.
Aw, you're sanding the stick figure away. I don't know, Ahti just doesn't recognise fine art when he sees it. 04:19 Ah yes, polyoxybenzylmethylenglycolanhydride immediately sprung to mind when I saw that too. Beautiful restoration as usual. I like the two tone finish with the lighter wood framing the darker drawers.
Wow. I’m in awe of how you turned this buffet from ugly to gorgeous. But I think what impressed me the most are how you recreated the handles. Amazing job!
Your work is so thorough. It is extremely satisfying to watch. I like hearing the sounds of the work sped up. It is an auditory verification of the amount of effort you are putting into what you do. It makes me smile. 😀
Beautiful job as always, very unique piece too, almost looks like a display cabinet more than any type of vanity - nice piece for sure and now? Back to its lovely self thanks to your skill. That you were able to make a new handle? WOW. Honestly? Your skills are nothing short of amazing. I so enjoy watching your videos :)
For those who miss the Little Monster I made a T- shirt: at-store-25.creator-spring.com
Haha... Little Monster says: Hello again!
Just ordered the Little Monster tee. So cool you preserved it's memory. How fun!
@@davidharris241 Thanks mate!
@@ATRestoration you're welcome!
You're awesome; taking care of your viewers 💞
Update: just ordered a Little Monster coffee mug. I think you now have a mascot.

You brute... you killed the monster!
Ah the peace of no background music. Great vid.
Watching this guy restore old, damaged furniture, is like watching poetry in motion....fluid,seamless, truly professional and a joy to behold
Great restoration. This goes a long way in helping me forget your guitar restore vid.

@@ATRestoration first-time success, I couldn't tell the old from the new!
I'm not a fan of epoxy for structure, but this is a great substitute for bakelite.
Poly... what? Say that 3 times fast -- or even 3 times at all! Lol.
@@annw1395 LOL!

I love the two tone look, and the replacement glass and mirror are great.
That water-based stain on this finely sanded vanity is beautiful, enhancing the graceful lines, careful repairs and renewed grace of this restoration.
Wow! For a non-speaking video, your work is jam packed with great tips. Thanks!
The monster is gone, and Beauty takes it's place.
I rarely doubt your abilities, but when I saw this thing I thought- there is no way… You proved me wrong!
At last! I've found a real use for my vacuum pump "vegetable saver" container! Thanks!
I am in awe, what a beautiful result. A handsome piece of history, and a meticulous attention to the details. Wow.
Thank you for restoring rather than updating. You do beautiful work.
You never cease to amaze me! Couldn't figure out how you were going to replicate the knobs on the drawers. Then I realized you were making a pattern! You are so talented!
A very handsome piece of furniture. I thought the little monster looked like The Statue of Liberty! 🇺🇸
The new handle is a Christmas miracle :)
You do not disappoint. Beautiful restoration. The music was the perfect finish.
Keep doing you.
I know they are long gone, but every time I see you restore a piece like this I imagine the original owners being so pleased.
It's probably silly, but I imagine the furniture as a person coming into the shop all hopeless and battered, to be restored to newness and marvelling at how fine they are now!
Amazing that the glass survived! Nice work pouring the replacement handles!
Thank you for giving these old things new life, it's so rewarding to see these damaged things beeing restord to near new condition giving them a 2nd go
Wow! That is an amazing way to degas small amounts of silicone. This is EXACTLY what I've needed forever. Damn clever.
The monster is iconic, I would have saved it.
И снова я не удивлен, а восхищен работой Мастера. Большое спасибо!
I tip my hat to you can’t believe it’s the same piece of furniture very educational. Always looking forward to looking at your videos keep them coming buddy thank you for sharing.
Wonderful job!! I have never seen such a novel way to remove air from silicon and resin. Learn something new everyday, don't we? lol
I have also never seen it in any other youtube videos. Really surprized and fascinated
Очень похожее трюмо было у нас дома, в моём детстве. Прекрасная вещь! Браво Мастеру за великолепную реставрацию!
Made it better than new
Как он воскресает старинную мебель. Глаз не оторвать👍👍👍👍👍

That's the neatest vanity I think I've ever seen.
Wow! What a beautiful job. You are not only a furniture restorer, but you are a chemist, too. That replica of the drawer pull is amazing!
This almost looks like a display case with extra stock stored below. It came out stunning! Thank you for saving her.
I agree, looks like something from the ladies' section at a dept. store.
The container vacuum idea is genius.

Casting a handle? next level commitment
Remarkable!!!!!
I do sort of miss the little monster...😕
I jumped when you were lifting out the glass and the vacuum started! Sheesh!! 😂
Thank you for really restoring it instead of painting, which is all the craze right now. It I beautiful!!
Wauw, I would never have guessed you were going to recast that handle in resin. Great restoration as always
Resin is so useful for that. I build models, and I've gotten kits that parts were lost 20+ years ago. Casting the missing parts has been a lifesaver for me.
Can u imagine what the mother or dad thought of the kids art work! Lol..the restoration is perfect

Thank you for the useful furniture description!!
In New England (at least) also called a vanity. Ditto contents, except for the jewelry.
I'm from the Midwest. We would definitely call it a vanity
In the south it’s always a vanity! What America are you from?
Midwesterner here: we call it a vanity.
Восхищаюсь Вашим умением рухлядь превращать в красивую антикварную вещь. Родился очередной шедевр, браво!
Very nice example of simple Art Deco. Well done.
Everything you do is amazing but making that new handle and spacers was flat out genius.

Excellent work! You make it look so simple and I'm sure it is simple to you, but to the 99% of the rest of us this is magic. 👍
Can you imagine us trying to make that mold? No way! He's amazing.
That's a lovely job well done, slotted screws, and lined up slots too, and old style square nuts, nice attention to detail. 👍
You are a true master of your trade.
This is why I prefer wood over veneer furniture.

It was a store display counter / and if finished on the back then it faced towards the customers mirror may have been added later

Very satisfying to see this brought back by someone that knows what they are doing.
