I had the same experience at the end there. There's always that one fleet you think you can handle, but its the one that specifically counters your whole fleet doctrine.
@@balanoidik low tech or bust, there's no counter to the spicy wasps nest of dakka, if you're having trouble playing as low tech put some points into command, equip more dakka, make your swarm faster, give them the free 3 perks, get more commanders, swarm them, dakka them, melt your motherboard with the sheer amount of shit on the screen and make every pirate and luddic path fleet blush as they see who the real low tech master is while you spam enemies with lasher, enforcer and eradicator swarm the weakness of high tech is the lack of hard flux, abuse the fuck out of that with hardened systems and safety overrides while you dip in and out of combat like a angry swarm of bees

I’m not very good but so far my best strategy is as many cheap cruisers as I can find loaded with the longest range weapons I can find. I send them to hold a position. Enemy weapons, shield position or movement doesn’t matter if every square inch of space is full of lasers, missiles and bullets. Also salamander missiles are GOAT. I rarely use high damage low ammo missiles, especially if it’s an NPC who will just waste it. FPS is terrible though.
@@Zeyraythat last clip is probably the best one too, really encapsulates how it feels loosing a fight lol Although I don’t play with iron mode because I value my sanity it’s still a huge kick in the balls when you just can’t beat this one fleet no matter how hard you try

Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer, making us stay and fight when we should run instead

The level of skikl issue on display in that last fight is insane.
Nice one
Do-Do you guys not sort your fleet by size???
I sort by DP cost... (Logistics ships in the back tho)
and here i thought this regarded fake stutter fad was gone
Sort by size and design type… midlines and high tech are separate but equal
