I hate to be so pessimistic. But growing up in an era where people could really sing vs now. I'm sorry, I think some of these artist shouldn't be on there.
Yes agree but also sing ability ≠ musical talent. I get what you mean, but nowadays someone who writes, sings, and produces their own music is very common. Like Charli XCX doesn’t really sing the best, but it’s her concept, lyrics, and production that carry her art.

Jack just doesn't like rap which is fine but don't disrespect Not Like Us as only a "cultural moment". The lyricism was incredible and then to admit that you don't listen. Again totally fine, but don't be rude about it.

It went #1 on billboard & was the most impactful song in pop & mainstream culture in 2024 in the 🇺🇸 (In the news, the clubs, sport events, weddings, political rallies, bar mitzvahs, family functions, college graduations etc).
The Grammys are American awards.
So don’t underestimate NLU just coz you’re in your pop girls bubble echo chamber. It’s a whole world outside of your bubble.
NLU has been the most dominant song in the 🇺🇸 in 2024.
And it has good chances of winning SOTY or ROTY.

Renaissance lost the album of the year award to Harry's House not Midnights. Midnights won last year.
Also, absurd how it is possible to predict a winner without even listening to them. Clearly it was all about the artist regardless of the category. Could have been better if they listen to everything before doing any of these.

When it comes to music I'm versatile and I love every Genre. But these people thinks Grammy is all about popularity 🤦♂️😆😂 . They don't even know how Grammy works like seriously their prediction and thoughts on other nominated songs, albums, and artist are just trash. To be honest each and every single nomination are worthy of winning thats why those are got nominated. Grammy ain't popularity contest who knows who might win. I don’t get how people can say they listen to all music but not country. Country is such a broad genre these days and people don’t really know what they are listening to
IMO I feel like there are so many albums that should be in the mix of the Grammys that I feel like they have a “selective pick” it’s not diverse enough tbh
My issue with the Grammys (and AOTY specifically) is that they seem to change the criteria for what should win from year to year. Some years it will be the most commercially successful album. Others it will be the one no one is expecting.
My top four for Grammys are
Best new artist: Shaboozey
Song of the Year: die with a smile Bruno mars and lady Gaga
Record of the Year: Billie Eilish
Album of the Year: Sabrina carpenter

tbh, i feel like poeple often overlooked chappell's album because they havent given it a chance, an underdog, most had this prejudice before listening and are pleasantly surprised after how dynamic her range in songwriting and voice are out of all the nominated albums, plus she write complete songs you all been wanting as said in 33:34
The Beatles is a very surprising nomination, especially considering how long John Lennon and George Harrison (my most favorite Beatle) have been gone. Then again, even if an artist is dead their music continues to live on in some way. I'm just wondering now how The Beatles got nominated.

I honestly didn’t hear of this song and I’ve seen Paul McCartney live. I don’t know how I missed it because I’m obsessed with the Beatles. My dog is even named Penny Lane.

I hate to offend everyone, but i can’t stand to listen to today’s hits and today’s pop eww, i can’t relate. And i don’t like country either. My Favorite Genres are Alternative, rock, Emo, Nu Metal, Heavy metal and Hard rock. I’m a what the kids call, “A dead genre loving old man” i’m 30. And also 95% of these predictions i don’t recognize or i’d rather die!

My preferred genre is classic rock or alternative. So, for record of the year... I do pick Beatles. I've been a huge fan my whole life. I also listened to the whole bts thing on how long it took to make that a single.

I think Not Like Us winning Song Of The Year makes for a much better conversation than any of other songs on the category....especially moving forward...considering Kendrick is going to most likely perform the song a week later at the Superbowl Halftime, soooo him winning, contributes to a larger cultural potency. I’m the opposite of Jack Jerry and Abi. I don’t care for a lot of the relevant music and singers. I’m a 60’s-80’s girl, when there was-sorry-real music. Not to say there’s not some good things out there, there is, but music is definitely not what it used to be.
I agree that Taylor is good, but saying "she has to many" is not a valid reason for why she shouldn't win. I think it's because compared to other artists, she sadly just doesn't come out on top IMO. Like if I'm being honest, Tortured Poets Department is her worst album than all her other ones and the songs just aren't good. But I agree, Billie Eilish, Chappel Roan, and Bruno Mars should definitely win the Grammys this year.
Kendrick or Sabrina either would be great. Definitely no Beyonce or Billie Elish for record of the year

Hey all!! Check out Taj Farrant, He was up for a nomination spot ( he didn't get nominated) but he is 15, first album released early fall, Chapter One. He genre is modern blues/rock. ( Think Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King)
I'm more interested in the Best Rock Album category... I've heard the Green Day album, Fontaines DC, Black Crowes, Jack White, and Pearl Jam. But not Idles or the new one from Rolling Stones.
