Thank you Chris for your great videos. They have been very inspirational to me to take the family out and become one with the natural surrounding that we at times take for granted. Look after yourself and thank you once again.
BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! AWAYS IN OUR THOUGHTS ! GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME TAG ALONG WITH YOU ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! ENJOYED !
Thank you for these videos. I’m watching from Ann Arbor, Michigan. The state is in lockdown, its 28 degrees, and there is no sunshine forecast for at least the next two weeks. We need the reminder that life is beautiful.
Truth be told, where you are and what your doing are two of the very best things you can or could do especially durring this time. Not only for your own safety but also the great weather. As a side benefit, we get to continue with the adventure as couch potatoes stuck where we are, for the time being.
Man, thank you! Please, if you can provide us with some content that would be much appreciated. I am in SoCal, locked down, and worried about my job. This video gave me 20 mins of mind numbing distraction. You provide Therapy on an average day, but this was priceless today. Thank you, Chris. Be well.
Glad to see you're safe. Was a little worried when your video was late, but totally understand. If your family needs anything, we're one county away (Berks) from your son and parents and will do what ever we can to assist. Just say the word. Safe Travels and God Bless!
As always great video, I love watching your adventures you inspire me. We need content like this especially now it reminds me how much we need to enjoy life because you never know what can change your life in an instant . Thank you
It doesn’t matter that this was two weeks video in one as long as you and your family are healthy, glad you’ve got the heater fixed and hope it continues to work properly. The Jeep always looks out of place in a heavily urbanised situation and the first steep climb near the beginning of the episode looked great in video. Just do what you have to stay well I’m sure we’ll be happy to wait for the next episode
God Bless you and yours and all of us....Thanks for sharing your awesome adventures my man!!!! 👊👍. When the wifey and I get our Jeep we will be using Summit 4x4 because of you sharing your great experiences with them...cannot wait to explore AZ like you do!!!
Very sensible video and smart idea to return to the desert. You will be safe out there and be able to communicate with your family. This crisis will pass sooner rather than later and we will be on the other side of this soon. Take care and be safe
Glad to see your heater get fixed. Even though you're in southern Cal it still gets awfully cold in the desert after the sun goes down. Chris, I don't know if Palm Springs is in your plans but the tram ride up to the top of Mt San Jacinto is pretty exciting . There are hiking trails up there worth exploring. The restaurants in Palm Springs are incredible, too. My favorite one serves the best spaghetti in the world and their pizzas are phenomenal.
I just started watching your video series and it has been inspiring. Thanks. I just retired from the Coast Guard last week, the wfe and i look forward to traveling and spending more time outside. Thanks for the motivation.
Well said Chris! Your videos will bring positivity to us when we need it most. Perhaps you are doing something even bigger than you originally thought? Hope you and your family stay safe.
Chris, something to check with you heater is also that it is getting sufficient air flow under that fridge. I'm sure OK4wd did a good job but you might make sure you have a nice open air source for the inlet of the heater. If you have air draw issues with the burner it will soot up with carbon as well. Hope all is well. Terry.
Since many, many folks are “quarantined “ at home escaping their home bound confines via your videos is an awesome alternative. Given your normal routes you’ve been “social isolating” for over a year👍 You got this!!!😷
Praise God you are ok. So good to see your healthy. God is good always. Thank you for your perseverance but be wise and don’t take risks. Saludos desde Peru.
Problematic heater, after what you have been through I wouldn't consider it. Beautiful desert scenery, I live in SoCal and have hiked there many times.
Yes, we've all heard enough about the virus. Thank you for being a wonderful distraction from all of this virus overloaded, that we've all had to deal with. So glad to hear your well, and as always, we're looking forward to your next video upload. Till then, safe travels to you Chris.
Watching this video in late February 2021. You had some amazing insight and intuitiveness regarding where the virus was going to take us and what we needed to do with preparing for it.
I know this had been said before. But I commend you for always practicing good trail etiquette. It's nice to see 'someone' picking up after others. Well done sir!
Hi mate. Glad your okay. Yes, family is always first. You are in a perfect position to minimise contact but more importantly family come first. I commend you for not turning this weeks episode into some Zombie Apocalypse style dooms day adventure. Just keep it light, informative and keep on being you. Take care.
The heater likes to be run on full blast to avoid carbon buildup. If you run it on low at night, when you get up in the morning run it it high for about an hour. This will blow all carbon out of the system and keep it running good.
Nice scenery out there but being from western Pa I'm looking forward to you getting back to the more mountainous forest areas. Be safe and you're definitely practicing social distancing
Kudos for cleaning the litter at that beautiful camp site. I do the same thing hiking or camping. It's a shame that some of us humans are so lazy and disrespectful. As for the coronavirus crisis (say that 10 times fast), I really think you should start making your way home. This is only the beginning of this situation. Experts are now predicting April is going to be a mess. There will be more regions and entire states that will start issuing shelter in place orders, and quite possibly outright quarantines.
Chris - great video. However ....don't cook with a metal spoon with that skillet or it will chip the coating off and you'll wind up slowly eating it over time (will get into your food). Use a bamboo spatula.
Chris, as you already know your in my prayers bud. The good thing is you have the InReach, so in an extreme situation family can text you and reach you via satellite 🛰. I agree movement leads to consumption and things are just too uncertain to know what can be replenished at any given time/location.
Thanks for getting this out Chris. Totally understand your situation, if you can get a film out, it's a great break from our reality, if you can't, just stay safe and get your ducks in a line.
Thanks for the updates Chris. Your videos are always interesting to watch. Really jealous of your form of self-isolation. I'm hoping I can do the same in a month or two once the weather warms up here in Alberta. Stay safe!
Chris, I was wondering if the current events were effecting your schedule and ability to push videos. I am glad that you are able to continue, and that you as well as your family are healthy and handling things well. Personally, I don't mind at all if the videos are a bit shorter, or even delayed if necessary. I enjoy them when I see them, and that's that. Stay safe, enjoy God's creations, and most of all, don't let current events change your passion!
@@Offshore1977 as would I if I had an opportunity. Hahahaha. I've offered to work from home, but my boss doesn't think that I would be as effective in my role with the engineering department. Sometimes he is difficult like that.
Good thinking about the conservation of your resources and thereby minimizing social interaction. But given the consensus seems to be that this will be an extended problem with multiple spikes in the coming months of confirmed cases you might consider a location as remote but less affected by a lack of POTW water. Also, think about locating near-ish a thick supply chain artery. - Safe travels to everyone!
Not surprised, but happy you’re being responsible and safe. If you get stir crazy, I know you did a rig walk around a year or so back, but I would love to hear your input on all your choices after being out for so long. Food for thought, but Venture4WD is about the horizon and not the rig and we all love you for everything you do, Chris. Rock on.
Well, well, the man emerges from the mountains !! Very happy to see your video today. Glad to hear your keeping up with your mission. Enjoy your adventure in the Arizona desert, it is so beautiful at this time of the year. Truly enjoy your viedos.
You do all of us a huge service allowing us to focus on the wonderfulness of the great outdoor. Long, still, and always highly appreciated.
Thank you Chris for your great videos. They have been very inspirational to me to take the family out and become one with the natural surrounding that we at times take for granted. Look after yourself and thank you once again.
Thank you for posting a video. Life is about conquering mountains and our journey, it's inspirational to see you do it. Be safe, keep creative.
Nobody is more socially distanced than Chris right now! A+++++++
Social distance world champ March 2020....

Really love the shot from inside the jeep with the camera behind the two front seats. That’s really cool Chris!
Finally something good comes of this week.
Love the new camera angle looking out the front windshield, cool.......Cheers....Steve
