There is a saying that goes- Hero speaking:the world hurt me, I’m going to make sure no one else gets hurt Villain speaking:The world hurt me, I’m going to hurt it back
I have a collectible paper thing of the OG TMNT, and with Stockman, He literally has fly wings, and a fly face, yet he keeps his human body. I don’t know how that’s possible SuperFly also said in the movie, “ I inherited my dad’s mind for science”, giving some evidence that SuperFly is Stockman, but a mutant fly. They also have the same hairdo, black curly hair on mostly the back of their heads.
I actually think they did it for a different reason. In the original TMNT, mutagen could turn people into mutants. But they changed it, Splinter didn’t start as a human in this Universe, he was a Rat to begin with. They changed the way mutagen works in Mutant Mayhem and had to keep the idea consistent to only working on Animals.
It would've been a lot better if it was Stockman. That way the evil team would have had more of a counterpart to Splinter. Plus Baxter is an amazing character that deserves a hell of a lot better than what they did to him in this.
@@noctisastrum7495 I'm pretty sure the people making it said he was dead in one of those behind the scenes vids, but who knows they could totally change their mind by the time it takes to get to the sequel.
But it worked better because it wasn’t stockman. It’s literally… Superfly became a mutant and raised a group. Splinter became a mutant and raised another. That’s where the strength in comparison lied. For Baxter to have been Superfly, Splinter would have had to be human to keep the comparison parallel
@@heregoesfranklin5962 That doesn't explain how it's better in any way. Superfly and all the other mutants are the same age so it makes no seance why Superfly would raise them over anyone else. The could have given him more attributes besides just the hair to make him more like Stockman then at least some intelligence could transfer over and show why he's the leader but now hes just the leader because he's more angry than anyone else. It's that kind of logic that gets you bebop and Rocksteady living with everyone in the end.
There’s also the little detail that Baxter stockman isn’t guaranteed to be a fly creature, depending on the Continuity that you want to use. In the 2000 version Baxter Stockman never becomes a flying man. Instead, he starts losing body part after body part because of failing the shredder, and starts replacing them with mechanical limbs until eventually he shows the brain in a jar. So there’s more than one design path for him apparently.
U know what would be interesting. Spoilers btw So yall know Splinter is just born rat and not a human (Hamato Yoshi). What if for the sequel, we get to see Hamato Yoshi. Either as a cameo or could be the trainer for the turtles along with Splinter so that they can defend themselves from Shedder n the Foot. Reason why I said trainer is because let's be honest, if this Shedder is like 2003 n 2012 version in terms of combat, then the turtles n Splinter stand no chance against him. I could be wrong but still it would be kinda cool if they done a 2003 take of splitting Splinter and Hamato to separate beings, but only this time Hamato meets a mutant rat tho
@@alfredojacome2027 True plus I fear that not many fan would like the idea of Splinter basically being the student. A clip came out before the film released revealing superfly is baxter’s son instead,? That explains the backstory in the beginning of the film
Probably not his real dad but since Baxter Stockman made Superfly, he just thinks Baxter's his father
If u look at it that way Baxter is all there fathers no more Superfly's then all the other mutants including the turtles.

Maybe the next movie has Baxter who survived and rebuilt as a cyborg while his "son" is standing next to him. There we have the best of both worlds.
