no license, no brain
So when people have a license and have an accident then what..
And no brain for the person who allowed him to drive that car. Honestly.
@krimsonedit3272 then they are what you call careless and maybe, just maybe they shouldn't have a license. People are always on their best behavior when taking that driving test. Once they have that license, they do what they want. A lot of people, definitely not all, are reckless.
A license does not guarantee that you will be a good driver. A lot of people have a drivers license and don’t have a brain!!! No license, no brain is an ignorant comment!!
@@krimsonedit3272 Well, they live if they have a brain.
I always warn parents not to let their teen ride in a car full of teens. They are too young to realize what can happen. It scares me when I see as many as four teens in a car. They try to impress each other about their driving or whatever comes to mind. They are not mature enough just yet!
Not mature enough to drive
I guess the parents will have to be charged for allowing a person without a license to drive a vehicle.
He likely had a learner's permit? And there are restrictions on that.
@@WALTERBROADDUS You may be right where you live but where Ilive you at least need a licensed driver with you,
@@geoWhite on a learner's permit that would be true. I believe once you've earned your junior license, that's no longer necessary?
Why make excuses for stupidity and poor parenting!!
@@WALTERBROADDUSIs a learners permit a valid license? I didn't think so.
Sad story. Teen boys often take crazy risks and do dumb things. Sometimes the results are tragic.
One of the parents gave him the keys, right? they knew their son was not supposed to be driving, its so sad that all this could have been avoided if parents would take their responsibilities seriously
If they did that just might be charges with that boys death. Sad.
Who has given an immature child a car to drive? It’s a toy to kids, of course they’ll speed. Stop spoiling your kids.
Sue the driver’s parents
You win the lawsuit and receive two chickens and the promise of one of next years' baby goats.
How did he get a car he didn’t even have a license father should sue the drivers family and the driver should be charged
You really want to twist the fork? Because the insurance is not going to cover this.
@@WALTERBROADDUS: it’s called accountability!!
I bought my first car 2 months before I got my DL.
Many parents already have a car for their kids, as they turn 16 and are going to get their learners permit
I am so sorry to the father of the boy lost. No parent should have to bury their child 😞
Sorry but actions have consequences.
Sorry not sorry
So sorry for the loss of your beautiful son, may he rest in peace.
One d decision can change your life
Years ago a kid who lived next to my granny's house in west philly got into a car that was stolen. There where 4 others in the car which turned out to be stolen. They ran from the police in the rain. All where killed because of a split decision. To this man's son sorry for your loss sir. Breaks my heart to see a young man pass away who seemed to have his life on track to be successful.
Do parents teach their kids anything any more? They act like they live in a reality tv show and can re-spawn when the fuck up.
Parents can teach their child all they want, a teenager is gonna do what he wants anyway. Don't blame the parents
Teen drivers have been doing stuff like this for a lifetime.
@@WALTERBROADDUS True. Kid I graduated with killed himself speeding the day after graduation, 17 years old in 1974.
who gave a child who is unlicensed a car to drive..sometimes I wonder if these adults have common sense anymore
I am sure parents didn't give keys to drive their car without a license.
Tragic…
Let me guess, having a driver’s license is racist now too?
Motor vehicles are just as dangerous, if not more than firearms, so if kids shouldn’t have access to firearms, why should kids without a license have access to motor vehicles.
Would like to know who the accountability falls on for this loss, do they blame the car, the parents or the driver?
calm down troll.. we were all teenagers at some point.. we all did stupid things, then we grew up.. at least most of us did.
Damn shut up
I think this is probably a case where the young man had a learner's permit.
Nah not dumb shit like this.
@@kingindyThese teens won't grow up.
I'm sure the owner of the car is known, so why isn't that a main focus of this report? Did the owner of the car know the driver was using their car? Did he take it without permission? The driver was driving illegally, and speeding, as he was leaving church?! Such a terrible tragedy, I pray for the families. But this just doesn't add up.
Unless he's really stupid, he'll say the kid took the car without permission (which is probably the truth, anyway).
He is a sweet kid. He goes to my school. Rest in peace Ryan. 💔
Sorry for ur loss
My condolences and I hope you get moments to grieve for your school friend.
Sounds like a great kid. I can’t imagine what his family is going through & his dad having to get the awful new being so far away from family.
I hope this video is shown to other young drivers that your life can be ruined after making bad decisions; you aren’t invisible.
invincible
@@marcelmoulin3335 Ugh, I can’t believe I missed that?! 🤦♀😩 Thank you
@@lovesgucci1 I make mistakes, too.
It's up to the parents to keep their kids grounded in reality because their friends won't, the evil whispers & their environment won't. I honestly can't do enough to pay back my parents for their unconditional love & conditioning.
look at 1:02, right edge of the dirt flying upslope from the accident. Is that a body? Maybe he wasn’t belted?
Seatbelts save lives.
16yr Old is too young to be getting a driver's licence. In South Africa the age is 18yrs.
Reminds me of that old movie quote, “Drivers license, Drivers license, we don’t need any Stinking Drivers License”!!
I'm so sorry papi.....heart break for such a young man...
SUV's are unstable at higher speeds. you need to be familiar with HOW to drive them. plus where are the drivers parents???
I call b.s on this,I have owned/driven suvs for over 30 years,no instability problems.
Where did he get the car??? From the parents??? Or was it stolen???🤔
it wasn’t stolen
it was his moms car. i know this because i know them
No one steals a car to go to church. Apparently this is family SUV. And may only have a learner's permit.
So sorry for the loss of your son, may he rest in peace 💔🕊️ prayers for your family! 🙏🙏
speed kills
That's the way things are handled here, noone is held accountable for their actions. Disgusting.
My sincere condolences to the family for such a tragic loss. 🙏
This is very unfortunate for the young man to die in this accident, when i was 8 years old I was in a very serious accident on I 76 in Philadelphia and the driver of the vehicle i was in was killed.🙏
That's just plain stup1d on the part of the parents for allowing their teenager kid to drive without a driver's license. SMH😮😮
So sorry to the family .
Church? Sure.
So preventable
Where were the Parents of the Driver? They should be Charged as well! Sick of absentee Parents letting their Kids run wild!
When I was 16, before I got my Drivers License and I and had just a Learner's Permit, I would never have even moved my Dad's car out of a parking space to the front of the building, without him in the car with me. I really thought that driving without a license was a major crime and I'd go to jail if I did it.
Kids have friends good and bad this a tragedy
RIP Ryan Reyes 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
The current generation has the I.Q. of a couch cushion.
Right. No unlicensed teen ever drove a car before this generation. You're totally right.
When I was 16 in 1993 I took my brother's car out on a Friday night while he slept..picked up 2 friends and somebody t-boned us..I broke my jaw & my friends where busted up too..we where blessed to survive..This is heartbreaking, teens brains arnt developed theyre not thinking longterm etc.😢
I don't know any 16-year-olds that were that stupid. They all knowingly got in that car and were having a great time speeding through
traffic. I'm wondering how a 16-year-old would get a car in the first place.
My condolences to the family.
My condolences to you the family.
This is happening way too often. I think the age limit to be behind the wheel should be 21 or 23 years old. Kids as young as 14 are studying to get a permit and 16 they are on the road. The rules need to change for real
Hopefully the parents will be sued, promptly.
Smh the speed limit is 40mph on the blvd only if he followed the rules ths young man would still b here 🙏🏾 prayers to the families
And nearly no one does follow the speed limit, sadly...
long live my guy ryan man 💔💔
So who let them drive off from church in their car, unlicensed? Bizarre!
they were upset knowing thier son was getting in a car with another 16 year old inexperienced kid, serious, yes they were upset after the accident and they learned this, so how in the world was he supposed to get back home, and how did he get to church, as far as I know and probably many others, kids 16 and still your responsiblity to get them to and where they need to go, yes you as the driver, you're the parent. geez that's what's wrong with these parents these days, they want their kids doing grown up things at the ages of 4, they should feel remorse knowing they werent' responsible enough to go and fetch him from where he was. RIP to this kid.
Rip
They were coming from church but speeding. Why would you let him get in a car which driver had no drivers license . Why would parents let him drive with no drivers license. It’s illegal
there's a reason we have laws. driver now gets to learn that the hard way.
Why a 16 year old is driving noooo bad idea
You people in the comments are so terrible. The story is about a 16 year old kid who died on his way home from church. We already know that fatal accidents are more likely with teen drivers and when teens drive together. It has nothing to do with race. Obviously, the unlicensed driver should be held accountable. All these comments about race and blah blah are terrible and inhumane. Shows everything that is wrong with social media. Have some compassion.
Sorry to the dad but he’s son Wasn’t kidnapped he got into that car
Another terrible accident that was most likely avoidable.
no license, why get in the car with anyone that does not know how to drive safely? he had to to be driving wrecklessly
Why wrecklessly? There was a wreck in the end. Wasn't there?
Acting as if having a valid license would have automatically made this kid a better driver is nonsense. It would have made him legal to drive and that’s all.
He knows exactly what happened and why he wrecked and I guarantee you he’s not saying: Gee if I would have only had my drivers license this wouldn’t have happened. Cmon 🙄 RIP to the young man.
Coming back from church? How did the 16 yo driver get hold of the vehicle’s key he was driving (especially without a license)❓. Seems like his parents may have some serious explaining to do❗️👈🧐
I wonder if the kids got cut off; they're going substantially faster than the minivan and it's a 40mph road. It took the minivan 4 frames to go from the start of the white line on the road to the other, while the two other cars (red jeep and black SUV) both took 8 frames. The video is 30FPS an if we do the math...
Dodge Grand Caravan = 5.151M long
30FPS video
25 frames = 1 car length
25 frames / 30fps = 0.833 seconds/car length
5.151M / 0.833s = 6.182m/s
6.182m/s * 2.24 = 13.85mph
The news report says that the kids were in a Nissan Pathfinder, so if we did the math
2022 Nissan Pathfinder length = 5.022M long
30FPS
10 frames = 1 car length
10 frames / 30fps = 0.333 seconds/car length
5.022M / 0.333s = 15.081m/s
15m/s * 2.24 = 33.781 MPH when the vehicle enters the frame.
It doesn't look like there was any weight transfer from them hitting the brakes, but there would have to be another angle before the accident to tell if the minivane hit the brakes before their vehicle passed them or not. There are two intersections withing 150ft of each other right before where the accident happened, and multiple stores with cameras on the store fronts at the corner of N 5th ave and W Roosevelt (Like Yeny Appliance), that they'd have a view from behind as well as the main intersection.
It doesn't look like speed was a factor here, but lack of skill behind the wheel. I'm also under the suspicion that the minivan turned right into the middle lane instead of staying to the far right lane which spooked the kids. I wonder if the deceased was wearing their seat belt as well.
For calculation sake, the video at 1:00 is also 30fps so....
4 door Jeep Wrangler JK/JL length = 4.785M or 15.7ft
30FPS video
10 frames = 1 car length (angle is skewed, but white lines on the road at 10ft)
10 frames / 30fps = 0.3 seconds/car length
4.785M / 0.4s = 15.95m/s
15.95m/s * 2.24 = 35.728 mph
So sad.💔 Lawlessness brings death. 🙏🏻♥️✨ Unlicensed child driver. Who lets their kid drive a car unlicensed? It’s a deadly weapon.
The SovCit travelers paradise!
My god! 😢 🙏🏾 ❤️ 💐
Life we don't know what's coming sorry for your lost rest in paradise 🙏

So, the car was stolen? That is a dangerous highway. Even for experienced drivers. Last Saturday a kid flipped a Sabaru on my block. Went on 2 wheels after a stop sign. 30ft. THIRTY. Feet from the turn. Crashed into a parked car. I wish this nonsense would end. My condolences to the family of the deceased.
They haven't said anything about the car being stolen. They were coming from church, they were underaged and none had a license. No one has been charged.
When did you hear stolen!!! 🙄
@zoo05zoo With permission, is irresponsible as well. The driver no license. And then Parents may be held liable. It's a lose, lose.
No the car was not stolen. And Roosevelt Boulevard has been known for crashes. Teen drivers lack experience. that's why the insurance rates are so high.
@@lynnec6325he's likely still on his learning permit. It's Not Unusual for teen drivers to violate those rules.
The driver was at fault, but the others as well. You check to make sure the driver is legitimate. It is sad what happened and teens and speed, go hand in hand.
My condolences to you and your Ty for your service my the lord be with you and yours in these time of grief
Prayers for the family. Keeping them in thoughts, prayers and heart. Thank you to the dad for his service to our country. My heart is breaking for them. 🙏💔🥺
Speed kills
How did they not know their son and as riding with the other teen is you saw him leave with them?
The father didn’t, he’s stationed in Kentucky.
This IS a real tragedy. So sorry for your loss. Its said, only the good die young. So, so sad.
Whose car was this kid was driving and why did church have to be mentioned? Oh I guess this lessen the consequences of the irresponsible parents of the driver responsible, because they were coming from church and they were good responsible teenagers at the wrong place at the wrong time!🧐🤔💀

They thought they were playing GTA
Hate to burst your little fantasy world, but teens we’re driving like that *LONG* before video games were even invented
I could have e told you that and wasn't even in the car or at the scene.....

Where’s the mother?
My heart goes out to the father of the boy. Philadelphia is completely bananas and anyone who lives there. It’s not gonna get any better…
I'm sure you have the same sad teen traffic death stories in your area as well? I'm quite sure we'll hear of a dead Prom date somewhere this weekend.... it happens every year. Teen drivers just lack skills. By the same token, I wouldn't want Joe Biden and his Corvette on the road here either...
