Thanks for the ‘intro review’ Gordon but I have just one question and that is in 4K 50p mode, is there a crop? I’m sure I read somewhere that there was but can’t remember where? Seeking clarification if that is correct or not, ie, a ‘further’ crop beyond the APSC 1.5 one we know and accept. Cheers!
They're not underdogs. They got many people to switch. I'm a wedding photographer and I shot Canon for over 10 years and I switched systems when the XT3 came out. And I know many photographers that did the same.
Thanks for your excellent quick review Gordon, we'll done! I'm still using & loving my used X-H1...but this X-H2 looks to be a still photographer's dream tool. Shooting Monochrome and Macro Photography, I'm eagerly looking forward to your in-depth review of the X-H2!! One coffee coming up...maybe two 🤣🤣‼️
Ordered one. Mainly for landscape photography. Lets hope they will invest heavily in to the software updates. Xt4 was just OK camera and then with tike got so good. Will probably keep my panasonic g9 as well :)
I don't understand why the pixel shift is not incorporated in X-H2S. Instead of 160MP it might give something like 80 or 100 MP images which is still really great. Same body, same IBIS, same processors, so I would guess it is a software add on. Fuji should think about it.
I am liking this body but do wish they had put an exposure dial on it when using one of the auto modes. Will need to see the full review and the expected XT5 before deciding either way.
Thanks! What we need now is a Titanium X-Pro4 with the stacked sensor and the larger battery! (perhaps accommodated by a large reverse grip like the new Hasselblad)
Thanks, Gordon, a good introduction to the camera. It is certainly an interesting product for Fuji shooters or those who prefer APS-C over full frame (as some of us do!). One weird point. You were shooting on the 16-55/2.8 and yet the 'kit' lens for the camera is the 16-80 which doesn't appear as a lens recommended by Fuji for taking full advantage of the sensor. Do you know why?
@@fedupguy2004 In the list I have seen of supported lenses are the new f1.4 lenses and surprisingly some of the relatively older f2.8 lenses, like the 80f2.8 and the almost ancient (now) 50-140f2.8. I've fancied the 16-80 for some time as an all purpose lens and was thinking about ordering the X-H2 kit with it. I had the 16-55f2.8 in the past and it was too heavy for general use, imho.
@@enigmabletchley6936 I've used the 16-80 on an X-T3 for almost a year now ... it's excellent in many respects (focal range, weather sealing, OIS, size, handling, constant f4) but I have to say the image quality is only so so. It doesn't surprise me it's not on the list. For example it's certainly not as sharp as my 55-200, and that is not on the list either. That being said, if you don't pixel peep, is all that really an issue? It is very versatile and has allowed me to get many shots I am happy with (I shoot landscape and a bit of street). And where I feel I want an image to look at it's best I simply run it through Topaz Sharpen, which does an excellent job. Of course that's just my experience, and there are very different views out there on the sharpness of this lens. Most interestingly for me, Andy Mumford (an excellent landscape photographer) has a video comparing it to the 16-55 and it looks very good, so maybe I just have one of those infamous 'bad copies' ... although with the 16-80 it seems they are more common than not :-)
Fuji seems to be the leader in small sensor cameras. As a Nikon Z50 user I would like to see Nikon offer a higher resolution APC camera as well. 28-32mp would be ideal.
I'm looking forward to how well the AF tracking and AF subject detection modes will work with this sensor! I'm probably more interested in an X-T5 but I think that features / performance wise, this camera can foreshadow some of what we can expect from an X-T5.
Thank you for the video as always. The problem with APSC is that it has gotten just as expensive as FF and the cameras as big and the top lenses the same. What’s even the point of APSC? Price advantage no, size advantage no, performance advantage non. Yes this camera looks great, but for photography it can’t touch the high end resolution and IQ that FF have already had for years and the 8K video looks horrible with nauseating rolling shutter plus all sorts of crops and compromises in lower resolution modes. I do love Fujifilm and have a couple cameras, an older X2 Pro and an X100V. Those models with their unique features and design do offer some very unique and particular advantages allied to killer unique features and design. But the H2S and H2? Give me a break..
I’ve noticed your Fujifilm trolling comments on a lot of channels. Sony user in disguise. Anyways, if you look closely, the XH2 specs wise beat out the A74 in every single category, photos and videos alike at a lower msrp price. Just the sensor is smaller. Fujifilm’s top lenses are still cheaper than equivalent G master lenses. So what is your problem with apsc? Or are you just wanting to troll?
You’re forgetting that many people are already heavily invested in the Fuji X system and upgrading a body is a lot more cost effective than changing systems every few years. IMO - Fujifilm is at the top of their game in terms of the technology they’re delivering and these bodies will sell like hotcakes, with regard to the full frame vs. APS-C debate, I really don’t think it matters anywhere near as much as it may have 10-15 years ago.
Great first initial review - can’t wait to see more! I just got the R7, but if there’s one brand that tempts me to switch it’s Fuji…if I could commit to using APSC forever, I might just have to. Already looks to be a great camera at a really good price!
I hope Fuji sells a lot of bodies and I mean A LOT. Not because maybe these are perfect cameras but more companies should be financially successful which will increase innovation and competition for better and better priced products
I want to commend you for your comment but also for being the first person that I've ever seen in comments that correctly spells "a lot" as TWO WORDS. We don't write "alittle" so why does everyone write "alot"? 😜
Watching on my 5K monitor, I didn't see any improvement in the HQ mode in 4K. In fact, I noticed slightly more detail on the bottom right in the regular 4K mode (could be focusing).
seems like a great camera, but I've been thinking and i wouldn't be able to resist a X-T5 with raw video externally, it's funny because I'm a hybrid shooter that leans more into video as I'm a film student but the handling of the XT series is simply perfect, will be holding onto my X-T3 until the X-T5 releases, if it has raw externally I'll switch, if not, guess I'll be getting the X-H2 and keeping my X-T3 for stills
Think 4K 120 would have been far more useful and a natural feature to include rather than somewhat ridiculous capabilities like 1/80,000 shutter speed. It's my only real gripe
I use an L bracket frequently switching between orientations on a tripod. And, while balanced on a rock, cliff edge, in dense forest over deep mud, I really don't want to be distracted by paying attention to avoid damaging a screen that is dangling out to the side. Thus, while the tilt screen of the X-H1 has never failed and been easy to use, the flip screen on the X-H2 is a GREAT disappointment.
1080p high speed recording seems to be worse than X-T3 and X-T4, probably due to throwing away more pixels from that 40MP sensor in order to scan for a lower res recording. Are you under that same impression, Gordon?
I'd need to comparer them, but yes, I suspect the high speed modes are throwing away lots of data. To be fair, 200 / 240p on the X-H2S wasn't great either.
Fuji rules , I will add this to use alongside my XT-4 ✅ I received a Sony a7iii for free a week back and I won’t even pick it up next to my Fuji gear Keep shaking up the market Fuji , we love you
Hi Gordon, nice camera. I always loved the image from the XT3/4. Everything from that sensor just looked pleasing. Eterna lut amazing. Does this sensor have the same charm? Yes it's sharp (Iam I the only one who ends up softening most stuff anyway) does it have the Fuji magic ✨ that's what we want to know. Thanks
Yes, I'm wondering about that too. So far in my tests the 56 II is looking really good and my XH2 content will include some samples with it, so keep an eye open!
Thanks for the video Mr Laing, as always a delight to the eyes¡¡¡ i have a question, why dont you review compact cameras at least the premiun compact like the GR3X or Leica Q2, or Sony RX1RII, and lets not forget the X100V.
Gosh I hate that fold out screen soooo much. You would think they would make it tilt for the market this stills camera is aimed for. Shooting low angle wideangles is horrid when you cant just tilt 😞
Looking forward to your full review. It would be interesting to know IQ wise how the 40 MPX of the X-H2 compares to such models as the Nikon Z6 or Canon R6, which as you know have a lower density of MPX but are full frame cameras.
I will be curious how well the various XF lenses will resolve this higher resolution. Wondering if all the red badge lenses will be good, like you mentioned the 16-55 was doing.
Yes, I plan on trying as many new and old lenses as possible. Basically you should enjoy more than 26MP's worth on any lens you mount, but to make the full use of the 40mp, you'll need one of the better ones. So Fujifilm is saying you should enjoy higher resolution results than existing bodies regardless of the lens, but for the maximum benefit, use one of their best lenses.
It's interesting, regardless of brand, for the most part, that APS-C cameras are getting bigger, and FF cameras are getting smaller, almost to a point where the "FF cameras are larger and heavier" argument is no longer true. Plus the price of APS-C cameras is starting to overlap with FF (entry level and enthusiast level FF that is). Just something I was thinking about. For the time being, most APS-C cameras are still a little smaller than the FF cameras, but it seems that APS-C and even some m4/3 cameras are nearly as large as the FF equivalents.
I think you have to consider both body and lens in the comparison. In most cases, FF lenses at comparable focal lengths/maximum apertures will be heavier.
An excellent taster of this new 40mp camera.....being a stills shooter only, I am eagerly awaiting this either on the XH2 or the XT5. My only concern, and I have voiced this several times before without any firm answer, is whether the current line up of lenses will be able to fully resolve the 40mp sensor to make it worthwhile stepping up......or will it prove to be a very expensive change if I have to buy all new glass on top of the new camera? I have 3 lenses mentioned in the "best lenses to use on the 40mp sensor" issued by Fuji, but no-one has mentioned the rest of the lenses ability to capture sharper photos than my XT3
Pretty sure I've answered q1 in all my xh2 videos, plus i show the optimised lens chart too. Have you watched them? Have a look at my xh2 for photography review for everything I know.
Waiting for your real world full test. Fwiw, have to be persuaded that these new bodies (video irrelevant to me) as am content with the newish XS10. Have no need, apart from pros who does, for mega big sensor. The ONLY ,excuse my shouting, is the IAF. Still have a Sony a6400 (now 5 year old release) and the magic Sigma 56 1.4 for capturing portrait type shots of impatient adults and young children! That 5 year old Sony apsc 6400 has world standard IAF- cannot believe how 2nd rate it makes my XS10 look.
I published my final test for stills photography last week! Hope you find it useful! (are you subscribed? I'm a bit concerned you didn't get a notification!). I also put a link to it on this video near the start, so hopefully that's displaying too.
Thanks, found it just before your message. Also wondering how that almost ground breaking Tamron 18-70 is going to cut into Fuji's lens sales. Imagine their body owners are a pretty loyal lot V interested to see your verdict on this camera's AF/IAF- surely, surely, by now on a par with Sony a6400 standards, however, for some reason, I doubt it!
Interesting. I have recently been playing with an Olympus Camedia 5050 Superzoom which I have just purchased, which can still hold its head up but doesn't compare with the lack of pixels.
Wow. A camera cheaper and with less overheating than the R5 and with third party lenses unlike the R5? Looks like a mini R5 for literally half the price (and hopefully way less overheating).
@@cameralabs Thanks much for the reply, I was afraid of that. Looking forward to seeing what you find out. It's a shame, because I know the 4K60 on the X-H2S is gorgeous. I actually didn't think there was a huge difference between the HQ and the non-HQ sample you showed from the X-H2. Canon HQ and non HQ seemed to have a bigger difference.
I have wanted to write this for some time and I can not wait any longer. I deeply and angrily resent having to subsidize videographers for all of the tech they require which are mostly useless to still photographers. Why camera manufactures will not put on the market a pure still photography only camera, with ZERO video ability, is beyond me. It’s a no brainer. My suspicion is they fear there would be a sales drop in video centric camera sales. But imagine all of the extra return sales generated by photographers who have already bought the much more expensive video/photo cameras who would love to have a simpler stills only camera. The cost to make them would be small and they could still overcharged for them and it would still cost less than the video/photo cameras. Come on, there must be one camera maker bold enough to market a video less stills camera, right?
I hear this all the time, but what you have to understand is modern cameras use video for composition, metering, autofocus, white balance, everything. The sensor is live all the time for this to happen, so video performance is critical and literally built-in at the core of every modern camera. Remove it, and you lose all the advanced focusing, metering and composition with a screen or electronic viewfinder. Basically, you're left with a DSLR or rangefinder from about 15 years ago or more. So from a tech viewpoint, video is a necessity for a modern stills camera to even take still photos. Plus, if you remove video recording capabilities, it appeals to a smaller market with less sales and higher prices as a result. Video actually makes a new camera cheaper than it would have been without it. So my advice is to just ignore it, as it's not going away.
PS - I do understand that some people aren't interested in video or vice versa though which is why I try to publish separate stills and movie reviews of each new camera - like I did with the XH2S. This video here was a preview, so covered both.
But in video mode does this exhibit the same jitter when you're taking video of static objects? The AFC gives you nearly unusable results with the XH1 because of the camera constantly trying to find focus even though it's already found it. By comparison the Sony system will find focus, even in AFC, and just lock in without the constant hunting of the AF. This was one of the main reasons I've going from all Fuji to mostly Sony now for my full time work at my newspaper (daily video and photos) as well as my own consulting work and youtube work for my weekly news for my industry. I've not seen anyone address this glaring aspect of video work for Fujifilm in any reviews yet.
@@SlotCarNewsOfficial what sort of test / subject / environment did you have in mind. I can't guarantee I'll match it, but I can try some similar things if my existing tests don't cover it.
@@cameralabs So in my latest video on my channel I do a direct to camera presentation and you can see the focus constantly jumping around at the breathing that you see in the background makes it so distracting IMO the video from it is nearly unusable. This, direct to camera, use case is what I'm talking about. It's the simplest use of the camera's video system and it's just crap. This was the deal breaker for me in moving to Sony.
@@SlotCarNewsOfficial I know what you mean. So the subject is a person presenting to camera using face detection. I will certainly have examples of that.
He said, "Later," so I suppose externally. I have high-res mode Olympus and Lumix camera, I would prefer doing it later as doing it in camera increases the interval between shots and interferes with the use of high resolution + interval shooting - it's not possible. It shouldn't be demanding to make eight, twelve, sixteen shots in high-speed mode every two or more seconds and write them to a memory card.
Is It possible to digitally zoom from 4K to 1080p just like when doing so from 8K to 4K, or even a 4x zoom from 8K all the way to 1080p? If so, is there any improvement regarding rolling shutter?
The digital zoom doesn't impact rolling shutter. The digital zoom works in either 4k or 1080p, but both are only 2x. I demonstrate it in my latest video on my channel, check it out!
@@tugatomskanimation6370 thanks! I've published two complete review videos about the X-H2 now. The one we're commenting on here was just a quick first-looks.
I just wanna know how well the af-c mode works… not tracking or face detection, just regular af-c… is it decent? Almost canon level? Everyone only talks about eye detect n tracking modes…
@@cameralabs hey Gordon! Thanks for the reply! Well i guess ideally since I’m a wedding photographer someone walking towards them like a bride down an aisle, but also low light shooting like say during a wedding reception with people dancing (while using a strobe, but would the AF keep up? Also just general stuff, photos of family, my dog, etc.
@@cameralabs basically, i guess I’m kinda looking for a comparison to my R5… I normally use a single af point or the square cluster, and most of the time in C-AF. Only eye detection when i really want to pin point the eyes for say an actual portrait, but for the general stuff its one of two ways mentioned above… just AF servo and go basically. The fuji i want for personal photos, and i wanna leave the canon stuff just for work.. the RF 24-70 and 70-200 are so chunky, plus i use a grip on the camera. Thats fine for work, but leisure, meh… i just really wanted to know if the X-H2s C-AF could keep up in the same way i use my canon. Thanks for taking the time to reply man, much appreciated. 🙂
I don't know. It focuses and tracks slightly faster and better, shoots more photos per second. On the other hand, the Xh2 is a good camera and for $600 price differences you can buy some tickets for the zoo.
Would have been nice if the would have kept the xh1 body...it was the best...like having a xt4 with a build on grip...with that being said...fuji take the "guts" from the xt4...and plop it into a XH1 body...and sell it as "limited edition "...it will SELL😁
@@cameralabs What will that do for file sizes? I don't know about other people but HD space requirements are really growing. I find I reduce RAW sizes on my Canon equipment and keep the full sized stuff for more rare instances where I really feel I may need or want it. I am looking at upgrading my computers because even 2TB drives are not enough. My 5Dsr has a nice range of RAW selections. But there is a point where you really are getting into specialized use as these sensors deliver more and more megapixels. Once you get over 30 mpix you are getting into a more specialist area IMHO. Maybe others feel differently or one day it will be more normal for such gigantic files and resolution. I want choices in that area. Thanks for the video, best wishes!
@@QUINPANOWhy should I have to? It's a hassle to do that. I have projects and want to keep them available on an internal drive in the PC and that can involve many raw files and some eventual TIFF files, and then there are likely a bunch of jpegs of various resolutions for the clients. Then it becomes a question of catalog choices etc. So external drives for backup is one thing, but as an ongoing use thing I would find that very annoying. I think if the PC does not provide what you need in the PC itself then it's not really doing its job. Kind of like the new Mac Air where they hobble it and you would end up with external drives and dongles of all kinds because the product does not really have all that you need. It's a game they play to move you up the food chain to the next product offering, they hobble the lower offerings and overprice the upgrades to it to force you into a higher end offering. Besides, in this day and age gigantic internal drives should be no big deal at all.
@@johnjon1823 external backups are standard practice for real professionals. I would panic if I was a client and my work was saved to the desktop. It's not up selling and external SSD/drives are fairly reasonably priced. Of course more data is needed as technology progresses it's part of the evolution. You sound cheap and unprofessional if you can't click and drag files over.
I’d love to know how much time it withstands before over heating, I’d be should 30-60 mins long in an inside environment usually so I’m not sure if I should purchase the fan or not 😓
It really depends on surrounding temps. In my home, I can keep filming - even in 8k - until the battery gives up. So for me, power is the limiting factor, not overheating.
@@Da1VitoAKFamRec your ambient temps may be higher than mine. I'd recommend renting or trialling first if you can. But for me, overheating was not a concern where I live and work.
@@cameralabs i will be testing it out and if it comes to the fact that I might need one I will purchase one, my ambient temps consist of 73f, in Celsius it’s 22.7
Hi. I don’t think you stated what codec you are using for the video, and if it’s H.264 or H.265 what bitrate you are using. If you are shooting slow mo you will need to increase the bitrate to maintain quality.
Great quick review Gordon! This is an important camera for sure. This could be a R5 killer giving both 8k( with no overheating of course!) and high megapixels along with high frame rates with half the price! Isn't it the cheapest 8k camera available? Good job Fuji! Can't wait to see how Sony will respond to these great twin cameras.
It's gonna overheat... that's why fuji is making a cooling accessory. Fuji bodies previously everheated worse than Canon's. Also, after the firmware update r5 doesn't overheat really. No crop body can be a high end full frame killer. That's just wishful thinking. And autofocus is still behind Canon. I own both canon and fuji... and use them for different purposes
@@loriolus OK! Let's see what happens... And I'll bet it won't overheat as much as R5 does even with the latest firmware update which they finally gave the unlimited recording after 2 years! But anyway you have the fan option whenever it's needed, unlike the R5. Cripple hammer works more and more as long as you loyal Canon users praise whatever Canon does no matter what
@@loriolus wrong. R5 still overheats a ton. And the only body that came remotely close to overheating like the r5 was the xt4. Overheating will not be a dealbreaker with new XH’s cooling mechanism. That is a genius move. And the xh2 and 2s are killing the high end FF A7iv, A7siii. On the spec sheet and real world performance overall. I’d say that’s enough to prove that crops can beat certain FF. No wishful thinking at all
@@Eyeofkamau Wrong? We just shot a wedding at 4k using r5 in LA at over 100 Fahrenheit and it never shut down like it used to. Again, I love Fuji's...but full frame will ALWAYS have an advantage in certain areas like high iso.
All of them will work. There is a list of the recommended lenses, however, it's interesting in that the 16-80 didn't show in the list yet that is the 'kit' lens that comes bundled with the x-h2 (yes, body only of course is available for pre-order)
A body+85m f1.8 eq lens for 3.000 USD? And no ISO, Shutter speed and Exposure comp dials? Packed into a FF body. And with famous Fuji's af/eye-af conundrums... yeah I can't wait to purchase this one... Shave of a 1.000 and you may find the market. Otherwise it's iPhone of Full-Frame competitors :)
Thanks but wow, is this what we have come to? $2k crop sensor cameras? Ridiculous. And I thought the R7 was overpriced….go ahead and keep buying overpriced cameras people. You’ll soon be paying $4k for crop sensor and $7k for full frame. Absurd.

Given the low base ISO for APSC, it will be interesting to see how noise and DR in stills stacks up against its full frame rivals
Pre-ordered mine since Thursday !
This is what I was hoping the R7 would be . Very tempted.
The 5.6m viewfinder and vertical grip are already a reason to buy a Fuji.canon fail
@Br So that's a full stop at the first sentence . Get back under your bridge !
@Br So why?
I think only the new high res prime 1.2 lenses are certified at resolve at 40k without chromatic aberration
Most interestingly for me, Andy Mumford (an excellent landscape photographer) has a video comparing it to the 16-55 and it looks very good, so maybe I just have one of those infamous 'bad copies' ... although with the 16-80 it seems they are more common than not :-)
@@brendanlynch7296 The Andy Mumford video surprised me, too. And like you, I find the 55-200 an excellent lens - which punches well above its weight.
Omg that 6.2 200x zoom is a pretty spectacular stuff wow...

@billi ison for the X-T5? I don't mind.
Class review as always, Gorden
Cheers!
ah thanks for the detail comparison on every video resolution✌️
Fuhi is shaking up the market with these offerings.
XT5 with xh2s sensor, not sure I could resist.
Great first initial review - can’t wait to see more! I just got the R7, but if there’s one brand that tempts me to switch it’s Fuji…if I could commit to using APSC forever, I might just have to. Already looks to be a great camera at a really good price!
Andrew plz suggest me What can i buy R7 or xh2 plz
Thanks for sharing another wonderful video like always 👍😁
I hope Fuji sells a lot of bodies and I mean A LOT. Not because maybe these are perfect cameras but more companies should be financially successful which will increase innovation and competition for better and better priced products

Yes, 4k 120 would have been nice, but the sensor won't do it
I use an L bracket frequently switching between orientations on a tripod.
I thinks rights now Fujifilm lots of improvement every their new camera release, lots more feature and made good deal for every photographer
Gordon provides the first review (or first look) I watch for any camera.
Great video review 👌 I want a tilt screen
1080p high speed recording seems to be worse than X-T3 and X-T4, probably due to throwing away more pixels from that 40MP sensor in order to scan for a lower res recording.
Are you under that same impression, Gordon?
I'd need to comparer them, but yes, I suspect the high speed modes are throwing away lots of data. To be fair, 200 / 240p on the X-H2S wasn't great either.
Fuji rules , I will add this to use alongside my XT-4 ✅
I received a Sony a7iii for free a week back and I won’t even pick it up next to my Fuji gear
Keep shaking up the market Fuji , we love you

Interested to learn how the overall noise at high ISO compares with that of X-T2/3/4 models.
I've just published my final review for photography which compares the noise amongst many other things!
Great vid, tx.
Why can’t it have a tilt up screen???
I shoot waist level and the side thing will not work for me.
Great video! Hope to be able to play with one on Fujikina. And curious if I could at least have the pleasure of meeting you in person Mr. Laing :D

Kind of debating leaving L Mount for Fuji
Hi Gordon, nice camera. I always loved the image from the XT3/4. Everything from that sensor just looked pleasing. Eterna lut amazing. Does this sensor have the same charm? Yes it's sharp (Iam I the only one who ends up softening most stuff anyway) does it have the Fuji magic ✨ that's what we want to know. Thanks
I think it does, but I'll be posting a bunch of sample images soon for you to judge
Looking forward to the XF 56 f1.2 Version II review. It will be nice to compare to the 50 f1.0 as well
Yes, I'm wondering about that too. So far in my tests the 56 II is looking really good and my XH2 content will include some samples with it, so keep an eye open!
@@cameralabs I will. The comparison you did with the three '50-ish' mm lenses was very good. I am leaning more towards the 50 f1.0 from that review.

i have a question, why dont you review compact cameras at least the premiun compact like the GR3X or Leica Q2, or Sony RX1RII, and lets not forget the X100V.
I have reviewed the x100v and use one all the time!
Gosh I hate that fold out screen soooo much. You would think they would make it tilt for the market this stills camera is aimed for. Shooting low angle wideangles is horrid when you cant just tilt 😞
1:14 oled pwm flickering.
Would you say the older 18-55 kit lens wouldn’t suffice for this cameras mew sensor?
Mhhhh Nikon Z7ii or X-H2 / X-H2S ???
Looking forward to your full review. It would be interesting to know IQ wise how the 40 MPX of the X-H2 compares to such models as the Nikon Z6 or Canon R6, which as you know have a lower density of MPX but are full frame cameras.

@@cameralabs Also, love your work. Keep it up!
I hope to do some comparisons in my final review.

Yes, am a subscriber, so like your OMS-now- reviews and Fuji's X reviews 😀.
Can you compare the dynamic range between the X-H2 vs X-H2S in FLOG2?
Not easily. I have made some comparisons for resolution and noise, but not specifically DR.
Interesting. I have recently been playing with an Olympus Camedia 5050 Superzoom which I have just purchased, which can still hold its head up but doesn't compare with the lack of pixels.
8k > 6.2k > 4k but I don't see a difference between regular nad HQ. Am I the only one? Yes I have good monitor and 4K on YT selected.
I could see a minor difference on the original files, but it's more subtle than Canon's difference
Can the small prime lens even render pixel level sharpness at that resolution? Just wondering if the MP even matter to me...
You can already see the difference between lenses on the 26 mp models, so it just becomes accentuated here.
Wow. A camera cheaper and with less overheating than the R5 and with third party lenses unlike the R5? Looks like a mini R5 for literally half the price (and hopefully way less overheating).

@@kenross6028 I agree, Canon non-HQ is not great.
I demonstrate it in every review I do and will show how the video AF performs in my upcoming final review of the camera.

@@SlotCarNewsOfficial I know what you mean. So the subject is a person presenting to camera using face detection. I will certainly have examples of that.
no 65:24 image size option ?
Does the pixel shift mode combine all frames to 1 RAW file internally, or do you have to do it externally with software like on Sony?
He said, "Later," so I suppose externally. I have high-res mode Olympus and Lumix camera, I would prefer doing it later as doing it in camera increases the interval between shots and interferes with the use of high resolution + interval shooting - it's not possible. It shouldn't be demanding to make eight, twelve, sixteen shots in high-speed mode every two or more seconds and write them to a memory card.
You have to assemble them in Fujifilm's software on your computer first, which will output one DNG RAW file.

@@johnjon1823 Why wouldn't you save your camera files into an external drive?
Thanks but wow, is this what we have come to? $2k crop sensor cameras? Ridiculous. And I thought the R7 was overpriced….go ahead and keep buying overpriced cameras people. You’ll soon be paying $4k for crop sensor and $7k for full frame. Absurd.
