Thank you Bladed! I was hoping that you’d make a video like this. I had very little interest in bikes previously but now I find myself looking at them a lot more. I just need some help knowing what I'll need to get started and this video should help with that
recommend getting a MT-07. it's the nr1 most popular beginner bike and here you have to use your own bike to take your riders license. you also have to do a obstacle course while going crawl speed using the clutch and balancing before you are even allowed out for the street riding test so you know the MT is a good beginner bike that you can comfortably handle and grow in to :). most naked bikes in the 500-700cc range are good beginner bikes. just stay away from the high revving 10k+ ones because they are just annoying for a beginner to ride. other good bikes are the kawasaki Er-6N which is the nr1 most popular beginner bike on a budget. like 90% of the er6n that are for sale here come from people who used it as their first bike and used it for the driving test.
@@BladedAngel they've taught me so much as someone who grew up around cars and not bikes, especially explaining the differences between safety standards and what will keep you alive (now i just need to get the klr650 im saving for)
Really enjoying the motorcycle content there ! yeah, I'm glad you use a HP clarification cuz when most ppl use CC It confuses most beginners. Since some 600s are slow, some are VERY FAST so I just say "Around 50HP area" is great starter. 100HP bikes start to get in 3-3.9 sec 0-60 already, wayyyy too much for most beginners.
@@BladedAngel Agreed, 100 is already way too much for a beginner, I just had to come up with a number without sounding like a stuck up "experienced" rider. Around 50 hp is neat but I think going up to 70 is fine, since that's where most beginner friendly parallel twin 600cc bikes are at. I live in Europe and honestly I would probably have ended up in multiple high speed accidents when I started, weren't it for the existence of the restrictive licence for new riders. And yeah people tend to get confused with CC, so I try to always speak in terms of HP to avoid any catastrophic confusion

I know it just came out, but the Kawasaki zx4rr looks insane! It has upgraded suspension, upgraded body positioning, and they upgraded it to an inline four, you get the high end power and that 600cc superbrike sound, but it's way more manageable. It's lightweight and flickable, and I think you can get them for around 10-11k after taxes/dealer fees.

as a noobie rider i have to say the biggest thing to me between a begginer bike and a standard bike is the torque. 40hp and 10lb ft is a ton o fun and easy to ride. 40hp and 60 lb ft is terrifying and frankly dangerous for me
Had a 2015 Kawasaki Vulcan S in green from 2015 - 2022. Absolutely loved it. Thing is fast and a joy to ride. Unfortunately I had to sell it because my apartment doesn't allow motorcycles. My options were to keep it at my parents' (who live 8 hours away) and I ride it once or twice a year when I visit during riding season (they live in the north, so not a very long season), rent a storage unit which I'd then have to drive to if I wanted to ride it, or sell it and put those funds towards the new car I was getting soon. Unfortunately it was best to sell it. Got $6,200 when I paid $7,500. Not bad for a 7 year old vehicle.

If the Honda Rebels are too small for you, the Honda Shadow is another great starter bike. That's what I ended up buying after using a Rebel at my motorcycle school. They're a bit bigger at 600cc/750cc depending on the year, but comfortable and dirt cheap on the used market.
For those beginners who are still willing to buy a sport bikes because of their cool and sleek looking design, I’d personally recommend a Yamaha R15 V3/V4 It’s cheap, reliable and it’s the ideal starter bike for the beginners, best way to start from to get into high cc sport bikes

It has abs and tcs as well so its quite beginner friendly. (The guy at the bike shop also reccomended a triumph 600cc because it has a "rain mode" that changes throttle mapping and cranks up abs/tcs, but i was less confident sitting on it and it was slightly heavier, so) also the triumph was like... 8 thousand dollars vs the 310r being around 5,500 lol. I also want a cbr300, that was my first choice, but the cbr would have been bought online vs in person and i would've had to pay shipping
I have a CBR250 (300 is just a 250 with a factory big bore on it) And I love it. Had it for 2 years and it does everything I want it to do. Keeps up on the highway just fine as well.
I really recommend a 125 2 stroke dirt bike to anyone who live in a rural area. Easy to wrench on , easy to learn on and u get to stay away from traffic for a bit fully focusing on balancing , clutch work and cornering

Thanks you so much bladed, I’m gonna get my bike license next year (when I’m 18 because of specific laws here in Australia). I’ve only ridden dirt bikes (RMZ450) and can’t wait to get a road bike. This is very helpful.
You've talked about a lot of car mods and car enthusiast habits. What are the bike equivalents? Common motorcycle mods, moto-enthusiast habits, good and bad parts of the community, non-motorcycle rider misconceptions
Coming from Europe I'd personally only recommend a maximum displacement of 125cc for a beginner motorcycle because they tend to be lighter, slower and cheaper to both buy and maintain
Honda shadow 600 and 750, super cheep. reliable, lots of aftermarket support and large community. Perfect first bike if you want to mod your bike and you are looking for cruiser.

Great video I loved it. It'd also be cool to get a video on motorcycle protective gear, what to look for, and what brands are trustworhty.
Please do a video of expalining all fo the motorcycle types. Your Motorcycle content is really entertaining.
Thanks you so much bladed, I’m gonna get my bike license next year (when I’m 18 because of specific laws here in Australia). I’ve only ridden dirt bikes (RMZ450) and can’t wait to get a road bike. This is very helpful.
Please do a video on the Kymco AK550. We need more love for scooters haha
Definitely coming back to this when its time to buy
ive started on a yamaha r7, it honestly fits as a beginner bike.
damn americans man so lucky
and here i had to start on a 100cc
and 700cc is like rich ppl dreams
You've talked about a lot of car mods and car enthusiast habits. What are the bike equivalents? Common motorcycle mods, moto-enthusiast habits, good and bad parts of the community, non-motorcycle rider misconceptions
Thank you for making motorcycle videos i enjoy these
I really want an MC22 as a first bike. They're just plain awesome 😻
Coming from Europe I'd personally only recommend a maximum displacement of 125cc for a beginner motorcycle because they tend to be lighter, slower and cheaper to both buy and maintain
Damn, the new motorcycle content is great. Also what do you think about the Kawasaki Z800?
My motorcycle class starts tomorrow👍
this seems to be the place where I admit to have unironically enjoyed the super cub anime
Sv650 will always be the best imo
This is the only answer if you want more power than a 300
I got the Honda NC750X. It's an amazing starter bike
I can’t even begin to tell you how jealous I am that you got that anime instruction manual on how to use the super cub so jealous I want it
wanna get myself a honda nsr50, because motorcycle permit is expensive in germany. also mini gp bike.
You forgot the #1 bike of alllllll of these which is the “Suzuki SV650” literally 2500-3500 and enough power to not get overwhelmed or underwhelmed
Honda shadow 600 and 750, super cheep. reliable, lots of aftermarket support and large community. Perfect first bike if you want to mod your bike and you are looking for cruiser.
That anime manual looks cool tbh !
I came here to look for a motorcycle, now I want that bad ass scooter.
My first bike was a gsxr 600 an it was the best purchase of my life
appreciate the bike content
Hey Bladed, I got a CB300F as a beginner bike, was going to look at a monkey lol. So far I'm in love with the 300. Easy to ride, and really easy to maneuver
