Dave, my wife and I just discovered you and Brooke and you both are our favorite channels to watch. Your honesty, love for each other and GOD has restored a joy to us. We live in the Huron Mountains here in the UP. So at 71 years young hope to stumble on to you someday face to face.
My niece lives in Delta Junction with her two children. She is a wildlife biologist. My brother practically built her home over a number of years along with her then husband. If I said her name you might have crossed paths. Small world. My parents taught us early in life to live off your income and not go into debt. It was very good advice and has served us well. Love your videos and sage advice. Best to you.
At 74 I'm finally working my way out of a life of debt. By the time I pass on to Eternity I'll be debt free! I'm halfway there and it already feels good.
Interesting personal info. There is much to be said about a debt free lifestyle. Connie and I are also dept free as well. That fact has opened up much freedom for us as well so we can relate.

@@andrewjackson9853 Lots of people did that. One uncle worked at car dealers in the body shop...then, he built his own, which he ran till bad knees made him quit...but, he raised cattle till he died. The other uncle drove the school bus for a year or two, but my aunt drove for 30 years. For 5 or 6, she ran the cafeteria at the school...cooking and cleaning up for 60, and driving the kids home..,and came home to prepare the evening meal. She made enough for lunch the next day. A few weeks ago while I was out in Colorado, I spent a few hours soaking in a riverside hot spring. While I was there, I struck up a conversation with a young guy and his girlfriend. However, I own too many books that I don't want to get rid of in order to travel through life that unencumbered. Well, that, and I have too much outdoor gear, including handmade knives.
Bushradical that’s my plan.... after i finish building the cabins in Alaska and then sell whichever one I’m not gonna keep (two pieces of land about an eighty mile boat ride apart), I want to buy a little land in central or South America and build one there.... summer in Alaska, three month slow casual drive, three months in (Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama?), three month slow casual drive to Alaska. Repeat.

Tomahawk, Wisconsin in the house! Well, sort of. A friend of ours, my brother, and I visited our other brother there back in '98. My brother lived next door to the paper mill back then. Hey Dave thanks for the video I enjoyed it and I knew about the knives in Hulu's and concrete work from your videos before about will you speak to about but didn't know you were still doing concrete so it's nice to know a little bit more about you I think that's Brooke should do a video like this to I think that be nice to get to know her little bit better to I know she does arts and crafts things but still not too much
I'll pass that on. Thanks
I had no idea you were a tv “star” as I don’t watch much tv at all. I’m still binge watching your videos because I think you’re a good dude with good stuff to watch. Keep shootin’ man, you make good stuff.

On the subject of buying and selling house's, and LAND, primarily what your doing now is almost, almost, what the original settlers would have had to do anyhows, find a spot, source materials or make them for the build, then get the job done an improvise on the way, much much harder labour, no chainsaws for the cutting an clearing etc . . . . still your endevour with Brooke is as admirable as gets, be well an well done
OMG that view 😱 absolutely gorgeous. New to your channel...I didn’t know you had your own channel too. I’ve been following your wife for a couple of months now. Love what you two are doing. ❤️❤️❤️
Man, such an honest insight. I wish more people on RUclips would be as honest. Good stuff!

For some not so good personal reasons watching three guys pour concrete while listening to you talk was a much needed little slice of heaven when I really needed one. Thanks.

Tomahawk, Wisconsin in the house! Well, sort of. A friend of ours, my brother, and I visited our other brother there back in '98. My brother lived next door to the paper mill back then. It's a neat little town. The first time I ever had cheese curds was in Tomahawk, WI!
Anyway, thanks for sharing this little bit of info with us, and I look forward to your next video.
I was surprised. Its a cool place
Adapt your needs to your income is the key to being rich in not missing out on anything ! I appreciate and share your (and Brook's!) life style. Good video, Thanks Dave

Thanks Matt
Awesome videos and information! Thank you!
That's some beautiful finishing work!
Love this video. I envy you & Brooke. Yes I've tried different things ( part time pottery business & other crafts, pet sitting, light house cleaning, cleaning out / reorganize for others, but, all the whole having a full time "regular job". "Security".....The fear of going without or not knowing exactly where or how much the money coming in. Oh well. Now up there in age, on SS but working towards owning our own home again and just maybe get at least partial off grid & maybe ....😁😁. Thanks to you & Brooke for inspiration. Am looking forward to my future
Great video! Love the way your getting it done!
Cheers,
Tim
