If we had to pick one culture to identify with, I would have to pick the Mexican side. There is no beef with my Asian family, but they just weren't too involved with my upbringing.
I'm Samoan, but grew up around Chicanos. Mexican food is the bomb! Gorditas, mulitas, pollo asado, mole, So much more to the menu & love me some tripas a little crispy and asada sopes mmmmmm😋🔥

You can see the difference of how the media has portrayed us black and brown ppl for centuries and how the world receives their information without really knowing who we are. Mac comes to the hood and shows the human side of us, the family, the culture the real life connections we have. I appreciate his ability to connect with different cultures as we ALL should but most importantly for using his platform to show us brothers and Latinos in a positive light! Appreciate you G💯

I live in Puerto Rico and I love this. I used to hang out with alot of my Mexican homies and they are similar to us here in P.R. they are beasts on a grill for sure. They treated me like family and that day we became brothers for sure
I was in Puerto Rico with my brother and we made friends with our Uber driver our last night on the island he took us to his house cooked chicharrón de pollo arroz mamposteao and flan de queso with some medallas to wash it down I’ll never forget that brother … viva Puerto Rico wepaaaaaaa

One thing I noticed about Hispanic people is that they're so hospitable. Anytime I would go to my Mexican friend or El Salvadoran friend's house their parents always made sure I left with a full stomach. I'm Black and Japanese but Mexican food is definitely up there.

As a 23 yo black man , adopted at birth by Jewish parents, I know my biological mother and know about my black culture and Jewish but there's something about Spanish culture to me that is just beautiful.. the food, people, music , just a beautiful people 🤎
