I wish more killers and their themes were like this. There are so many "objectively horrifying monster with spooky powers" in DBD. The Spy is not a monster, not in the traditional sense. He's a professional. A cold, dangerous, suave man who kills for his day job. Someone who does a job cleanly, and professionally. He's not physically imposing or deformed or anything at all. Despite that, he is extremely deadly, ruthless, and clever. He has accomplished and killed so much and so many in-lore and out of lore. He's human. He's a human with a particular set of skills (lol) and some minor technological buffs, but he is still human. He has no major inherent advantages. No unfathomable cosmic horrors, no ghosts, no spirits, no demons. No T-Virus, no knights, no drones, no bile, no twin. He's just a man. *And that is why he is horrifying.*
Hahahaha The Entity would hated Pyro arrived, and basically burn every survivor and Killer Which still be the same if Pyro is a survivor, as it(as Pyro gender likely will never be solved) cause many havoc like how it did back in the Fortress with Spy, Pyromanic...... Conclusion: it's no difference making Pyro killer or survivor, it will burned everything it see XD
I imagine that the lore for this is that the entity just paid spy to show up Like there is no superstitious, lore-related reason The entity just coughed up a couple grand and Spy said he’d do it
Spy: "Please. I have received far more for doing less. You're going have to do a whole lot more than just showing up with a briefcase full of-" Entity: "That's for another killer. Apologies." *Then the Entity presents the spy a briefcase full of Australium knives, guns, and a fuck ton of extremely fine-aged wine.*

Killer perk: Allied Impostor When the killer hooks a survivor, the other survivors are not alerted. This allows Spy to disguise himself as the survivor he just hooked.
i love the idea that the spy is on the same level of power as the other killers, which is why he's not a survivor unlike bill. like yeah, spy could totally trickstab pyramid head i believe it
What other mercenaries would be the survivors, cause the obvious pick would be engineer and scout, cause one is countered by spy and the other is spy's son.

@@ricekrispies4994None of the tf2 mercs would fit has a survivor. Any one of them could probably kill half of the killers at least. But then again the made Ash Williams and Leon Kennedy has survivors, so what do I know.
Now this guy would be what people envisioned the Legion being like: Blending in among the survivors and causing confusion as a result. Although he would also have the ability to become invisible and likely also be able to disrupt generators with his ability to sap buildings. Pure and simple, the Spy would be HATED because at the foundational level he's a disruptor and to my understanding there's a vocal group among those that mainly play survivors that don't like that type of killer. If you know Spy in TF2, you know the kind of presence that a good Spy has. The paranoia he can sow into a team and the havoc he can wreak when making plays.

Honestly I would say DBD seems too brutal for Spy, but that's just it, he wouldn't be brutal or messy. He would be clean, quick, and calculating. A killer like this would be the true extent of how scary someone who kills for a job would be. It's not a calling, not a hunger. Perhaps theres a few screws loose in him, but it doesn't give him ecstatic enjoyment to do it, it's just his career choice, and you're the hit of the day.
Honestly I think Spy would fit as a killer, yeah most of them are brutal psychopaths and the entity feeds of emotions, but he despite probably having the least emotions while killing would probably cause enough fear in the survivors being suspicious of one another.
Tbh, I could imagine spy’s more would be as simple as rather a clean backstab, or a deadly shot to the head with spy saying “You got blood on my suit.”
> hears chase music > can’t see the killer > runs away in a random direction > ends up bumping INTO the killer > the killer is a Spy > “There’s a Spy ‘round here-“ > gets killed > no regrets
I love how the very first piano section has this sort of an... Uneven rhythm, for lack of a better word? It's like someone taking in a shaky breath, and slowly letting it out to try and calm themself down, because this guy could be anywhere, looking like _anyone._ I don't actually know much about Dead By Daylight, but I like to imagine that even as he chases you, he simply sprints, looking calm and dignified as ever. He's not worried about you getting away. He knows he'll catch up to you.
The scariest chasers are the ones who don't run frantically. They're the ones who march slowly onwards, never stopping, never faltering. They are an ever present threat, looming after you, even as you struggle on, till your very last breath. And then... You fall to the ground, they stand before you, a smirk on their face. The outcome was inevitable. They wore you down, like everyone else before. And you've ended up where everyone else has.
@@Woodland_Adventures Not even a smile, you're not the one they've desired to kill for ages. You'd be just another step to the goal be it money, a different target, or that you were simply in the way. No emotional response
The most terrifying way to walk towards someone is a mix between a casual walking pace and a dead, cruel, and unwavering look about them. Like the astronaut from call of duty zombies from the moon map. (Weird analogy I know, but stick with me here.) The astronaut has a normal walk, but yet he has blood on him, his movements are stiff and act like he is in the late stages of rigor mortis, and he isn't in a rush, he knows you'll falter, and that he has the time to mess with you and give you that sense of hope that you lost him just for him to appear from the shadows.
You could honestly make spy look scary without zombifying or covering him in blood or anything. Just by "realisming" him a good bit, with sunken eyes and a twisted, killer's grin, wrapped up in a skintight balaclava and dressed in a suit that looks much too fine for the twisted visage of a murderer that hides below it. As for a kit, honestly, they could likely just tweak around a complete copy of Spy's actual in-game kit. Limited time invisibility, ability to disguise as the survivors, bad damage to the front, instant down to the back, though I would probably put a limitation on that like he needs to BE disguised for a backstab to count or something. I don't imagine he would use his gun, probably just for balance.
Well spy needs to buy his Louis Crabbemarché jackets somehow. You don’t get a suit made with silkworms raised in Tuscany and put together by tailor monks wielding patterns from centuries past for cheap
Spies Mori would be a recreating of how he killed sniper with one of his finishing lines being random from his pool of domination lines, such as: “I merely finished what your liver started” or “This is Dwight! Rainbows make me cry!” Or the ever popular “WELL! Off to visit your mother!”
Well, they'll be on the ground is the thing, so it'll be hard to pull off. Yet, I still like the idea where it's still in the same vein, but he instead very calmly takes out the Ambassador, says an endearing line from his "Cheers!" or "Good Job" lines, then shooting them in the head. What could make it a step further is if he takes a second to breathe cigarette smoke, flicked the one he has onto the corpse, and lit a new one... Except if you're playing as the scout survivor, to which he just disposes it on the ground and lights a new one.
Personally, I'd combine the Sniper kill with the Medic kill. Spy casually blocks a strike before twisting the survivor's arm and staring into their eyes as he morphs into them, to their horror. He then chops their throat and, transitioning to the Sniper kill, cuts them a few times before stabbing them in the back. The camera angle changes as body falls, and just like with the Sniper kill the Spy stares coldly down at his kill, brushing dust off his suit jacket. For the next 20 seconds the survivors are not informed that this Mori has happened, the survivor appears fine on their UI, and the Spy gets to run around disguised for a bit.
The Community version of the Spy: Spycrabs, currently an underpowered class, makes a lot of "your mom" jokes, obesses over pornography, etc. Lore Accurate Spy:
Even better, as EVERYONE, survivor or killer, but it has to be manual, so one has to be a killer at the start so they can identify what characters there are to not have the “we do not have a pyro on our team” situation
Hear me out He disguises as someone different to everyone’s view, meaning that every survivor will see him as a different person so it’s harder for VCs to counter his disguise
Here's something I noticed about this theme: most killer themes are really quiet until they're VERY near or actively giving chase. Spy's theme is really noticable even when he's distant. But this makes sense as it's likley his abilities would revolve around disguising as other players and going invisible.
Hell, basically every merc should be invited as killers, but the Entity would soon regret bring them in it'territory, for realizing •they being too efficient(fast) on killing •Pyro likely burn everything it saw •Even under grade them as survivor, they likely can destroy many killers with their skills which can't harvest despair or hope it needs and starving
@@CrazyHookDBD Well, they canonically travel to hell or Merasmus island, while came back to their own realm, so it gave me this thought the Entity will soon regret sending them here Plus Medic outsmart the literal devil in comic, he probably will trick the Entity just the same

Imagine being a survivor running up to help another survivor with a generator and all the sudden the Generator starts sparking electricity like crazy like it got sapped then that survivor that was just doing the generator stabs you and the music just immediately kicks in. I can also already imagine the fun addons you can have for him like a perk called Big Earner that reduces the speed penalty upon landing a successful stab or Red Tape Recorder which removes your ability to "kick" generators while disguised but in turn gives you the ability to slowly drain progress from the generator until a survivor comes to work on said generator
Right behind you I think would make it when you hook or down a survivor, you temporarily gain undetectable. If you hit a survivor without going into a chase, they are instantly downed.
Pyro is personally my most wanted TF2 mercenary as a killer, but I can't deny how good of a pick Spy is. The ability to disguise as a survivor would make for one of the most unique play styles in all of DBD, plus all his other tools in the invisibility watch, sapper, and the ability to backstab that could either make for a great secondary power or equippable killer perks. It's so awesome to see TF2 continue to be an internet icon 17 years strong, because the game definitely needs support now more than ever. Fantastic composition as always!
Guy who commissioned this to Dandy here, and I absolutely wholeheartedly agree. Yes, Pyro as a character concept fits, but the only thing the spy has over the pyro is the willingness to carry out the trials. Yes, there are killers who loathes the trials, but even then! The tools, the personality, the track, the voicelines, and the fact the spy would do all of this with a professional flair to the point where it can make Albert Fucking Wesker look like a first timer made it the reason why I wanted the Spy over the Pyro. ... Plus, I just wanted to give the spy mains some love since they're probably the weakest classes in the game.
@Fusrodog tbf pyro already sees war as a world of rainbow's so most likely they'd see the entity's world the same or the entity could just modify the pyros vision more to be more fit for the trials.

this is genuinely one of the coolest fan-made themes i've heard for anything. this fits so perfectly within dead by daylight, and it fits so perfectly for the spy, it makes me want to see the inclusion of the spy in dbd. great job.
Spy is... Perfect for a dead by daylight killer. A man who works from the shadows, picking off your team one by one, whittling down your sanity the whole while. Hunting, chasing, a silent killer. Truely a force to be reckoned with.

After 15/12/10 seconds, the sapper will activate and begin draining the generator's progress. A survivor can destroy the sapper in either state if they then make their way to the generator. If a sapper's generator has 0% completion, the sapper will be destroyed. When a sapper is destroyed in any way while active, the killer and all survivors get a loud noise notification. Only one sapper can be active at a time. "...I murdered your toys as well." Paranoia - Whenever all survivors on the map are outside of your terror radius, they receive a 2%/3%/4% decrease in speed when repairing generators, healing others, or opening chests. Your terror radius is decreased by 4 meters. "This spy has already breached our defenses."
I was immediately sold on this when I heard The Spy’s theme in the background And The Spy (for as jarring as it would be character wise) would actually work really damn well as a Killer. The Spy’s gameplay mechanic of disguising himself as others could be translated wonderfully into DBD Like The Spy’s mechanic could be that immediately after downing a Survivor or using his Mori on them, The Spy could disguise himself as whoever he just killed It would just make a typical game of Dead by Daylight even more stress inducing since now, you have no idea whether or not you can trust your fellow survivors Hell I’m half tempted to say that maybe whenever The Spy attacks from the back, the survivor he hits is instantly downed replicating the insta-kill backstabs from TF2
@@gotsomham Yeah, however, some players would still slip up. I mean, I have had multiple times where teammates see somebody get backstabbed, then completely trust the Spy that has just disguised as the victim. Communication is just a bad argument in my opinion though, cause like, yeah, they get shafted. It would still work though, and wouldn't be nearly as bad as people think.
imagine you are hiding from a killer, you hear a sound behind you and he appears form thin air and stabs you with a knife, just for him to say: DID YOU FORGET ABOUT ME, and then he is gone again, like he was never there
I think the best way to make a trailer for the Spy would be to make him almost never present or visible as 'The Spy', instead going in and out of cloak and only stabbing from blindspots. That is, until the very end, when it's just two survivors left and they're escaping. First says something to the degree of, 'Thank god we escaped, let's get out of here.' Followed by a succinct 'Right Behind you', paired with the disguise kit sound effect as the trailer ends.
As an added bonus After the splash screen, logos and all that stuff at the end, there's one last bonus scene. The ex-survivor lying dead in the ground with the butterfly knife in his back, pulled out unceremoniously while and an almost spent, but still burning cigarette lies on the ground next to the corpse as we see just the lower legs of a well dressed man. Keeping focus on the corpse, the camera slowly pans up as if to reveal the killer, you hear the butterfly knife being closed, the click of a cigarette case, a lighter being used, then see the figure turn into the survivor just as the camera focuses on him looking to the corpse right before he turns and fades away. (Whether its Invis-Watch or just stepping into the fog is left up to the imagination.)
to be fair, spy thrives when getting into your head. he has the harshest domination lines in his home game, even surpassing soldier's blatant racism on occasion. him telling you that he's gonna visit your mother in this game would be devastating, and REALLY get into your head, baiting you into making stupid mistakes the spy can capitalize on.
@@MinuHex I know but every survivor runs at the same speed without perks, plus perks aren't really unique to the survivor they came from anyway, anyone can use them Plus idk if they'd make a voiceline that's character specific like that unless it was a survivor that was added in the same chapter

Taking down someone with hit: -"Shock, bloodloss, infection. Ohoho.. I love stabbing." Ending someone with mori: -"Let's just get to the point." Zapping a generator: -"I murdered your hopes as well."
I have some great ideas for the animations. Clearly, he has to spycrab over a window as his vault animation. As for pallet breaking, I’d like to think he pulls a miniature bread monster from up his sleeve, which jumps from his hand and digs into the pallet, breaking it. For gen kicking, he places his sapper on it for a moment and turns a dial before walking away. I doubt the locker grab would be anything special, except maybe the locker doors swing open without him touching it like the resupply locker does. For the survivor carrying animation, see Meet the Spy. Now for the Mori. As the Spy approaches the survivor, the survivor gets up, like in the Wesker Mori, and punches the Spy. Then the Spy keels over and dies. As the survivor kneels over to check the corpse, wondering if it was really that easy all along, the REAL Spy uncloaks behind them. He then grabs the survivor by the back of the neck, lifts them up, and plunges his knife into their back, dragging it all the way down, leaving a clean incision down their spine. Then the Spy drops the survivor in such a way that they land in the exact same pose as the dead ringer spy was.
The mori is good cause it makes use of two of his best gimmicks and it gives a "he was just a human vibe off of it" also the use of the sapper and bread monster is amazing great concepts man as the doc says with his go voice line keep it up
For a split second after the fake body hits the ground, it goes completely quiet. No sound, no music, just nothing. And then the dead ringer sound plays. Spy uncloaks, dead ringer and knife in hand, and whispers "Right behind you". Then the rest of your animation idea plays.
Ok but a shapeshifter killer will actually be scary. You cant even trust your own teamates. He could be you, he could be him, he could even be right behind you
Survivor #1: we’ve got to go, now! The Killer is almost on us! Survivor #2: I’m afraid not. Survivor #1: what? Why not? Survivor #2: did you happen to see the Killer on your way here? Survivor #1: No, why? Survivor #2: Then we still have a problem. Survivor #1: It is strange how I never saw the Killer when I was around you, and how you never seemed to be around when the Killer was. Why is that? Survivor #2: *reverts back to killer* Survivor #2: Because I was really never on your side.
Spy oddly fits this, being able to turn completely invisible (unless you're right next to someone), and being able to literally disguise yourself as one of the survivors are great abilities. Not to mention his tools, a sapper to disable generators from being repaired for a time. A revolver for long range chip damage. And a knife that, if positioned properly, could instantly down any survivor. He honestly has the makings of a great, strong killer for DBD.
Honestly, this sounds terrifying amd amazing for spy. It fits so well for him. I will say that if he did make it into DBD, his mori would be the same as he killed the blue medic in his trailer, with the survivor trying to fight back, only for him to get the better hand of them and kill them, then either going invisible for a few seconds or cloaking into the survivor he mori'ed. This is amazing man, keep up the good work.
Killer: The Mercenary Speed: 115% Height: Short (Same as a Survivor) Terror Radius: 24m Weapon: Butterfly Knife Power: Tools of the Trade Primary Ability: Disguise Kit Over the course of 60 seconds, the power bar will fill up, successfully landing a basic attack against a survivor increases the bar by 25% (equivalent of 15 seconds of charge), when the bar is full The Mercenary can press the secondary ability button to activate the Disguise Kit for 60 seconds. While the ability is active, the health state and activity of survivors is hidden from each other (The UI is covered in disguise smoke). Additionally, all survivors are clouded in disguise smoke and cannot distinguish one from another. While the ability is active, The Mercenary has the Undetectable status effect and is also covered in disguise kit smoke, making them impossible to distinguish from a normal survivor. Additionally, While active, survivors doing Conspicuous Actions have the Exposed status effect, which lasts for the duration they are doing the action and for 5 seconds after. Secondary Ability: Invis-Watch Press and hold the power button to turn invisible. While invisible, The Mercenary has the undetectable status effect and cannot be seen. While active, this ability rapidly drains charges at a rate of 2 charges per second, while inactive it regains 1 charge per second, the invisibility meter has a maximum of 10 charges (5 total seconds active, 10 seconds to fully recharge). If you are pallet stunned while invisible, your stun duration is significantly increased and you lose all of your invisibility meter. While invisible, you cannot attack. If you hit a survivor doing a conspicuous action (except unhooking another survivor) within 2 seconds of deactivating the power, they take double damage. Perks: The Sapper: Whenever you kick a generator, it gains a sapper. The sapper remains on the generator until survivors repair 25% of it's charges. Generators with sappers on them have their aura revealed to you, with the auras intensity determined by the progression of the generator (Generators that are closer to being completed will be brighter). If a generator with a sapper on it is not being repaired for 10 consecutive seconds, the generator automatically begins to regress as though it was kicked. Finally, if a generator with a sapper on it remains at 0 charges for 15 consecutive seconds, the generator becomes blocked for 90 seconds and the sapper is removed. Enforcer: Injured survivors suffering from the Exposed status effect cannot gain or benefit from the endurance status effect (Except for endurance granted by being unhooked). (For example, if an injured survivor is exposed by Hex: No One Escapes Death and attempts to use Dead Hard, they won't gain the endurance and would be downed as normal if hit, they would still gain exhaustion though.). Finally, the UI indicates if a survivor has the exposed condition by placing a skull marker next to their health state indicator. Backstab: Your speed while lunging is increased by 100%, however the distance of your lung is decreased by 50%. (This effect cancels itself out, you lunge the exact same distance, you just do it in half the time.)
I really dig the TF2 mercs as DBD killers. Here's one I thought of; The Pyro. Speed: 115% Height: Same as Survivors Terror Radius: Large Weapon: Fire Axe Power: Firebug Landing basic attacks on survivors charges a "fuel" meter. Once Fuel reaches maximum, The Pyro can open a locker and retrieve his trusty flamethrower. The fuel lasts 60 seconds or until expended by The Pyro. The flamethrower can be used to damage survivors, setting them ABLAZE (damage over time, requiring them to put the fire out). It can also be used to burn pallets and deny entry to areas. Flames will douse after 30 seconds No idea of perks though.
@@SSD_Penumbra To make this more balanced. Flamethrower sets speed at 95% or 80% , maybe 100% could also be balanced Flamethrower had 100 charges 1 charge is drained per second by the smaller flame , which can be extinguished and relighting it is similar to Hillbily's chainsaw. 8/10 charges per second while active. A survivor residing inside the direct flame 1 second will be set ablase, set ablase survivors seconds will take damage in 2 seconds of direct fire , survivors who do not extinguish themselves after 30 seconds also take damage and the flame will stop. The same rule applies for pallets, which can also be extinguished by survivors. You can set ablase raised pallets, setting ablase any survivor that uses them but can only destroy dropped pallets. Survivors that vault over set ablase vaults and pallets will be set ablase. Survivours hiding inside of lockers being set ablase will be forced out. If someone is downed their progress bar resets instead, the rescuer will have to put out the fire before rescuing them, Similar to deep wound , putting out the fire halts the flame progress, but only for downed survivors. Being set ablase causes survivors to bleedout 2 times faster (normally takes 240 sec). Downed survivors can be also be set ablase. You can drop the flamethrower in any locker , this keeps it's charges. You can drop the flamethrower on the ground , granting you 15% haste for 1 second for every 10 charges remaining. Attachment ideas: Iridicent Mark II: A flamethrower that relies on liquid gasoline rather than butane gas. +Fires an accurate jet of flame with an arc instead of a small cone. This flame has no cap on distance and has much more range than a regular flamethrower, Pyro can pretty much crossmap you across Midwich or more. +Anything that touches it is instantly setablaze. Damage is dealt after 1.5 - Melee has 50% less charge. -This flamethrower has 60 "butane" charge for the small flame. 1 charge/sec normal, 2 charge/sec firing. Once this charge dies out the flamethrower becomes unusable. - Relighting the small flame takes 3 or 4 times as long. Giving survivors plenty of time to hide. Iridicent Napalm: +Harder to extinguish +Slightly hinders set ablase survivors +Additional hinderance to survivors extinguishing it +Does not extinguish itself (might be too op) : Requires another survivor to extinguish it, you cannot self extinguish. - Reduces reach/arc by 50% - 0.7 sec delay on time to fire. (how much it time it takes to damage a survivor could also be reduced) Yes , this is pretty much the plague but needs to get basic attacks before using their ability... which is now stronger..
@@b-doi1211 pyros standard flamethrower only uses butane for the small torch at the front that ignites the real fuel (which is kept in the tank on pyros back)
@ulitharid8907 The concept of the ability is great and well thought out and I also like the concept of The Sapper as a perk (even though it bites it self with normal regression now and what if a gen is over 25% already). The problem I see are the other to perks. The Enforcer punishes Survivors for good timing in End Game (if NOED is there) or other perks that help against camping and tunneling while there are also many addons/perks that also give exposed. As the unhook just grants endurance I don't think the immunity would get implemented. I think we need an entire rework of the perk. Also, as The Backstab is just a better lunge as you get nearer to the survivor before you actually lunge (without the slowness penalty for charging a lunge too as in the description we just gain a 100% speed boost). Maybe we could do something like that for short lunge charges as the killer can be rewarded for good tracking and being near his target. Or we give it a cooldown which doesn't fix the problem entirely but regulates it harshly. TL;DR: The Mecenary balance changes: Ability 1 & 2: unchnaged Perks: The Sapper: unchanged Dead Ringer (formerly Enforcer): "You are an amateur and a fool." Upon starting chase the perk meter starts to fill. When full and ending chase without the chased survivor going into "Dying" state the red glow will follow the survivor for 6/7/8s. Cooldown of 80s. Backstab: Hitting survivor with an Basic Attack (tapping attack) sets Survivor into "Dying" state. You're lunge is decreased by 20%. Cooldown of 120s/105s/90s. I know my ideas aren't perfect and atleast Backstab will need new balancing. I hope many other will have ideas how to balance this :)
Sadly, no, valve requires any game that features their licences to be free (or their licences in the game) to be free which is why bill is a free character. Unless valve or behavior want to create an entire character for free (a character from a franchise which is under fire for not responding to its community despite the bot problem) is not something a company would do willingly as its just a money waste.
Powers: Disguise kit: Take the form of a survivor, fake survivor actions like repairing (no terror radius for obvious reasons), attacking breaks the disguise Sapper: for dealing with gens, survivors have to remove the sapper to get back to repairing (or just use the sapper as his damage gens animation) Add ons: Dead Ringer: Reduce duration of stuns and blinds while turning invisible and leaving a copy going through the whole stun animation, long cooldown per use Cloak and Dagger: Invisible and undetecable while standing still, moving does not immidiately break the effect but will cause nearby survivors to hear the terror radius faintly Eternal Reward: Downing a survivor does not alert other survivors, disguise as the downed survivor after hit animation ends Le'thrangler: Reduces cooldown on disguising as a survivor Big Earner: Gain haste after hitting a survivor when disguised Diamondback: Gain a token each time you sap a gen, hitting a survivor while disguised consumes a token to apply deep wound (or some other effect to make it count as an iridecend, idk) Enforcer and other weapons: Apply buff/debuff on hitting a survivor when disguised (idk man, the hell you think his kunai should do in this context and still be balanced?) Mori: Spy tells the survivor "promise not to bleed on my suit and I'll kill you quickly.", then pulls out The Ambassador and shoots the survivor laying down in the head, putting the gun away, tossing his cigarette on the survivor before grabbing a new one from his disguise kit and lighting it and proceeding with the others. This is just business to him after all
I feel like the 'Survivor' counterpart to the Spy would be the old Civilian class, but there'd be some potential if it was his son, Jeremy, or even his... Wife? Girlfriend? I forget what Scout's mom is to him in the comics. The way any of them'd get into the Entity's realm at all is likely due to a Respawn malfunction. And the way the Entity would get the Spy to cooperate would be to make him believe (willingly or unwillingly) that he's hunting down the remains of a losing enemy team (Losing teams in TF2 are weaponless and can only run away.) Alternatively, he could be led to believe that the survivors are aware of his identity, and he has to kill or sacrifice them to keep it. In the case of the Civilian, that would definitely help the entity's case, as he could've been an ex-contractor for the Spy, but for Scout/The Mom, Spy'd probably just assume they were either an enemy spy disguised as them, or that the whole respawn machine bit would send them back to where they came from. Lot of potential for this crossover but way too much thought process on my end over a really good song. Good work either way. 👍
This is probably a lot better than what I thought of. The entity could also just hire the Spy for a solo mercenary job and keep hiring him should he be short on cash. As for who the survivors should be, I definitely think Scout and Civilian would definitely fit the bill. Maybe even Gray Mann after being separated from all of his robots too? Either way, there's one thing that I'll absolutely love: Merasmus and the Entity hang out in Poker nights.
@@diegoimhl282 Actually, that gave me another scenario in mind. That one Spy head in Medic's fridge? In the Meet The Medic short? Imagine how rusty and out-of-touch it is with his line of work. Longing for freedom or death. So, after the Medic's botched experiments to, I dunno, alter/steal/improve souls across the dimensions or realities or something, the Spy head and Medic get sent to the DBD 'verse. The Entity fixes Spy, on the condition of something like an eternal 'contract', and so he now is a hired assassin for the DBD universe, Medic included. And, like with Wesker and Chris, he would have a unique Mori line with Medic. Maybe something like 'You should have killed me when you had the chance, Dok-tor.' or 'I'm going to make a trophy of YOUR head this time...'
@@Fusrodog i like this idea 1. lorewise, the spy is the only killer who gets to leave the realm, but the entity can rehire him every time it wants the spy to appear in a trial - there's no way an eldritch creature is gonna go broke anytime soon, so the entity can rehire the spy infinitely and give him some breaks between the trials too, making him an efficient emotion making machine (maybe the spy could also react to certain survivors, like gabriel soma) 2. the civilian (orson w. jenkins) should be the survivor of that chapter, his first perk could be a boon, which grants single use(?) endurance to survivors in the area (from tf2 classic wiki: "His passive effect is in providing an aura around him, benefiting his teammates with 20% damage resistance, which doesn't affect the Civilian himself, while healing them between 5 and 15 health per second, which the Civilian does benefit from."), his second perk would be a weak self defense perk, maybe a weaker version of decisive strike/power struggle, which stuns the killer for a short moment, and his third perk could be a perk that boosts a survivor (haste for X seconds) the player selects, similar to his mini-crits (again from the wiki: (the umbrella) is identical to the Bat, except for its alternate fire ability, which grants 8 seconds of mini-crits to any teammate the user is looking at. It also allows giving mini-crits to the Medi Gun and Kritzkrieg, which increases their heal rate and Ubercharge gain rate by 35%. The charge meter refills after 15 seconds, is empty when respawning, and does not refill at resupply cabinets.) 3. merasmus and the entity certainly could spend time together in some way, and the entity could find out about the spy thanks to merasmus talking about him - then during the next halloween, the spy receives a letter from the entity, requesting a job - 4 targets, at least one kill, with the payout being bigger the more people the spy manages to kill, also he can only do it with his butterfly knife and disguise kit, no invis watches or guns, and people should preferably be hooked, but moris work too, all done in exchange for more money than the spy usually receives for his jobs 4. the spy's cosmetics could be the cursed voodoo soul from tf2, and the various sets (so the saharan spy, the man of honor, the invisible rogue, the gravelpit emperor and the automatic pilot pack) 5. taunting should be a thing in the game, the camera switches to third person while the spy is locked in place and performs an action, his mori could be the fencing taunt, with the spy saying his line and the survivors dodging the first two swings, but dying on the third swing

"For someone else, that might have been a challenge!" "Another day, another back with a gaping stab wound!" Mori: "You got blood on my suit." "Oh dear, I've made quite a mess." I'd like to see what else would work, especially for the moris.
Coming back with a second comment for my own pitch of the mori with a following paragraph: *The spy holsters his knife before bringing out the Ambassador. He looks down at the survivor with a cold stare, for he doesn't do this for thrills, revenge, or even his own sick and twisted pleasure. No, it was only business and nothing more. So, before shooting the survivor straight in the head, he will basically let out a line from either the "Good Job!" or Cheers section. "Fine Job.", "Well played.", "You have done well.", "The outcome was never really in doubt.", "What did they expect?", etc. By then, a gunshot will be made as the survivor lies limp on the ground. The Spy takes a moment to breathe out the cigarette smoke before flicking his current one onto the corpse and lighting a new one.* Edit: MINOR SPELLING MISTAKES. I LOST.
Corpse, I like the idea he just puts them down like a sick animal but maybe add him pretending to be try dying survivor during it, get shot by yourself...does that can't as....nvm

The Spy: Main Ability: Tactician's Toolkit Tactician's Toolkit a charge meter that passively regenerates over time. The use of select abilities will reduce from this bar. Ability #1: Cloak Activating cloak will grant total invisibility and a 12% speed boost for until Tactician's Toolkit fully depletes (12 seconds from 100%). While in this mode your red stain and model is hidden, but terror radius remains. You cannot vault, break or interact with anything until this mode ends manually or automatically. Ability #2: Disguise At the cost of 50% of Tactician's Toolkit charge, take the form of another survivor for unlimited amount of time. During this time you have no red stain and no terror radius , but Tactician's Toolkit will not recharge until manually ended. Exiting your disguise plays a sound cue before allowing you to cut down those you fooled. 🤷♂ ------------------------------------- Perk #1, Dead Ringer After being stunned via any means (Pallet, Flashlight save etc), you are granted +6% haste and +35% interaction speed (Vault, Pallet break, gen kick etc), for 15 seconds. This has a 30 second cooldown
Perk #2, Eternal Reward After hooking a survivor the other survivors will not be alerted of the hooked survivor the only indicator being the icon on the HUD, when hooking the survivor you automaticly Disguise as the hooked survivor at the cost of Tactician's Toolkit being fully drained after hooking
@@SleepiSmileI think to be more accurate to the weapon in question, the auto disguise from the hook costs nothing however you have to fully use the toolkit to manually disguise, meaning you get punished if your disguise fails to secure the kill and get rewarded for when it works, also that the hook disguise doesn’t stop the toolkit from recharging
@Smile-fc9hy I can imagine another varaint for that perk to go for general use. The hooked survivor would take on the Killer's Terror radius and glow until 60 seconds pass, the hooked survivor gets unhooked, or the killer's next hit on a survivor. The delay of hook notification is pretty nasty. But would be an interesting perk too.

I thought it could be cool if, at first, the spy is disguised as a survivor, helps the person up, then stabs them.

I was immediately sold on this when I heard The Spy’s theme in the background
And The Spy (for as jarring as it would be character wise) would actually work really damn well as a Killer. The Spy’s gameplay mechanic of disguising himself as others could be translated wonderfully into DBD
Like The Spy’s mechanic could be that immediately after downing a Survivor or using his Mori on them, The Spy could disguise himself as whoever he just killed
It would just make a typical game of Dead by Daylight even more stress inducing since now, you have no idea whether or not you can trust your fellow survivors
Hell I’m half tempted to say that maybe whenever The Spy attacks from the back, the survivor he hits is instantly downed replicating the insta-kill backstabs from TF2

Imagine if it played the proximity themes based on your distance to the undisguised spy and any survivor, so you're never sure who isn't the spy
Yes
I can imagine his killer title being something like; “The Saboteur”
Maybe "The Espionage"
Or "The Incognito"
"Anyone of Us"
Right Behind You!
"The Traitor"
The piano at the very start is really eerie, I love it way too much.
No, let him vault like normal. Spycrab meme is dead
After he kills his obsession he says one of his domination voice lines.
The mori is good cause it makes use of two of his best gimmicks and it gives a "he was just a human vibe off of it"
also the use of the sapper and bread monster is amazing
great concepts man as the doc says with his go voice line keep it up
Make the mori just be a variant if there is a "Dead ringer" perk equipped.
Survivor #2: *reverts back to killer*
Survivor #2: Because I was really never on your side.
The "Right Behind You" motif is absolutely perfect. My only complaint is that I wish that motif was stronger during the "Chase" part.
Okay in DBD there is no such thing as Chip damage
Minus the revolver and like save it for his mori and he works extremely well while being relatively balanced
@@Grey-imposter knife thrower.
@@hexretro8112 knife thrower but he has a gun
@Grey-imposter I think he talking about tricksters ability
Honestly, this sounds terrifying amd amazing for spy. It fits so well for him. I will say that if he did make it into DBD, his mori would be the same as he killed the blue medic in his trailer, with the survivor trying to fight back, only for him to get the better hand of them and kill them, then either going invisible for a few seconds or cloaking into the survivor he mori'ed. This is amazing man, keep up the good work.
Spy would be such a scary killer to the survivors because of how human he is and the fact he can disguise. We need this guy as a killer.
Killer: The Mercenary
Speed: 115%
Height: Short (Same as a Survivor)
Terror Radius: 24m
Weapon: Butterfly Knife
Power: Tools of the Trade
Primary Ability: Disguise Kit
Over the course of 60 seconds, the power bar will fill up, successfully landing a basic attack against a survivor increases the bar by 25% (equivalent of 15 seconds of charge), when the bar is full The Mercenary can press the secondary ability button to activate the Disguise Kit for 60 seconds.
Secondary Ability: Invis-Watch
Press and hold the power button to turn invisible.
Perks:
The Sapper: Whenever you kick a generator, it gains a sapper.
Speed: 115%
Height: Same as Survivors
Terror Radius: Large
Weapon: Fire Axe
Power: Firebug
Landing basic attacks on survivors charges a "fuel" meter. Flames will douse after 30 seconds
No idea of perks though.
@@SSD_Penumbra range oni neat
@@SSD_Penumbra To make this more balanced.
Flamethrower sets speed at 95% or 80% , maybe 100% could also be balanced
Flamethrower had 100 charges
1 charge is drained per second by the smaller flame , which can be extinguished and relighting it is similar to Hillbily's chainsaw.
Attachment ideas:
Iridicent Mark II: A flamethrower that relies on liquid gasoline rather than butane gas.
+Fires an accurate jet of flame with an arc instead of a small cone. This flame has no cap on distance and has much more range than a regular flamethrower, Pyro can pretty much crossmap you across Midwich or more.
+Anything that touches it is instantly setablaze. Damage is dealt after 1.5
- Melee has 50% less charge.
Iridicent Napalm:
+Harder to extinguish
+Slightly hinders set ablase survivors
+Additional hinderance to survivors extinguishing it
+Does not extinguish itself
(might be too op) : Requires another survivor to extinguish it, you cannot self extinguish.
- Reduces reach/arc by 50%
- 0.7 sec delay on time to fire.
(how much it time it takes to damage a survivor could also be reduced)
Yes , this is pretty much the plague but needs to get basic attacks before using their ability... which is now stronger..
TL;DR:
The Mecenary balance changes:
Ability 1 & 2: unchnaged
Perks:
The Sapper: unchanged
Dead Ringer (formerly Enforcer): "You are an amateur and a fool." Upon starting chase the perk meter starts to fill.
Add this to the list of things that will never happen but are still dope AF😂 love this good work
Apparently DBD has has a collab with Left 4 Dead before, so honestly it is still a possibility.
Not going to lie it be crazy if The spy was in the entity realm i’ll be wacky but scary and awesome

@@mobiuq3282 Makes me question why they even added Bill if he had to be free
Powers:
Disguise kit: Take the form of a survivor, fake survivor actions like repairing (no terror radius for obvious reasons), attacking breaks the disguise
Sapper: for dealing with gens, survivors have to remove the sapper to get back to repairing (or just use the sapper as his damage gens animation)
Add ons:
Dead Ringer: Reduce duration of stuns and blinds while turning invisible and leaving a copy going through the whole stun animation, long cooldown per use
Cloak and Dagger: Invisible and undetecable while standing still, moving does not immidiately break the effect but will cause nearby survivors to hear the terror radius faintly
Eternal Reward: Downing a survivor does not alert other survivors, disguise as the downed survivor after hit animation ends
Le'thrangler: Reduces cooldown on disguising as a survivor
Big Earner: Gain haste after hitting a survivor when disguised
Diamondback: Gain a token each time you sap a gen, hitting a survivor while disguised consumes a token to apply deep wound (or some other effect to make it count as an iridecend, idk)
Enforcer and other weapons: Apply buff/debuff on hitting a survivor when disguised (idk man, the hell you think his kunai should do in this context and still be balanced?)
Mori: Spy tells the survivor "promise not to bleed on my suit and I'll kill you quickly.", then pulls out The Ambassador and shoots the survivor laying down in the head, putting the gun away, tossing his cigarette on the survivor before grabbing a new one from his disguise kit and lighting it and proceeding with the others.
And the way the Entity would get the Spy to cooperate would be to make him believe (willingly or unwillingly) that he's hunting down the remains of a losing enemy team (Losing teams in TF2 are weaponless and can only run away.)
Alternatively, he could be led to believe that the survivors are aware of his identity, and he has to kill or sacrifice them to keep it.
Either way, there's one thing that I'll absolutely love:
Merasmus and the Entity hang out in Poker nights.
I feel like the medic would also be a good survivor given how much it's focused by the spy, and he could come with perks focused on healing and stuff
@@Fusrodog i like this idea
1. lorewise, the spy is the only killer who gets to leave the realm, but the entity can rehire him every time it wants the spy to appear in a trial - there's no way an eldritch creature is gonna go broke anytime soon, so the entity can rehire the spy infinitely and give him some breaks between the trials too, making him an efficient emotion making machine (maybe the spy could also react to certain survivors, like gabriel soma)
2. the civilian (orson w. jenkins) should be the survivor of that chapter, his first perk could be a boon, which grants single use(?) endurance to survivors in the area (from tf2 classic wiki: "His passive effect is in providing an aura around him, benefiting his teammates with 20% damage resistance, which doesn't affect the Civilian himself, while healing them between 5 and 15 health per second, which the Civilian does benefit from."), his second perk would be a weak self defense perk, maybe a weaker version of decisive strike/power struggle, which stuns the killer for a short moment, and his third perk could be a perk that boosts a survivor (haste for X seconds) the player selects, similar to his mini-crits (again from the wiki: (the umbrella) is identical to the Bat, except for its alternate fire ability, which grants 8 seconds of mini-crits to any teammate the user is looking at. It also allows giving mini-crits to the Medi Gun and Kritzkrieg, which increases their heal rate and Ubercharge gain rate by 35%. The charge meter refills after 15 seconds, is empty when respawning, and does not refill at resupply cabinets.)
3. merasmus and the entity certainly could spend time together in some way, and the entity could find out about the spy thanks to merasmus talking about him - then during the next halloween, the spy receives a letter from the entity, requesting a job - 4 targets, at least one kill, with the payout being bigger the more people the spy manages to kill, also he can only do it with his butterfly knife and disguise kit, no invis watches or guns, and people should preferably be hooked, but moris work too, all done in exchange for more money than the spy usually receives for his jobs
4. the spy's cosmetics could be the cursed voodoo soul from tf2, and the various sets (so the saharan spy, the man of honor, the invisible rogue, the gravelpit emperor and the automatic pilot pack)
5. taunting should be a thing in the game, the camera switches to third person while the spy is locked in place and performs an action, his mori could be the fencing taunt, with the spy saying his line and the survivors dodging the first two swings, but dying on the third swing
The entity bribed spy.

Imagine the music stopping all of a sudden and you hear a...
"Right Behind you"
Coming back with a second comment for my own pitch of the mori with a following paragraph:
*The spy holsters his knife before bringing out the Ambassador. The Spy takes a moment to breathe out the cigarette smoke before flicking his current one onto the corpse and lighting a new one.*
Edit: MINOR SPELLING MISTAKES. I LOST.
Corpse, I like the idea he just puts them down like a sick animal but maybe add him pretending to be try dying survivor during it, get shot by yourself...does that can't as....nvm
That flicking the cigarette part reminded me of MW2 where General Shepard does the same thing
I never really was on your side
Everyone's playing Spy up to be his lore-accurate self, but I can't help but see him laughing and instantly killbinding when he wins a round.
Or dance with the survivors
The Entity would be so confused by our humor
"Where's the intel?" "I have no clue, probably some heavy or something." "Let's go get it then!" "Wait, what's that sound?" "Right behind you." Suddenly, it all makes sense.
The Spy:
Main Ability: Tactician's Toolkit
Tactician's Toolkit a charge meter that passively regenerates over time. The use of select abilities will reduce from this bar.
Ability #1: Cloak
Activating cloak will grant total invisibility and a 12% speed boost for until Tactician's Toolkit fully depletes (12 seconds from 100%). While in this mode your red stain and model is hidden, but terror radius remains. You cannot vault, break or interact with anything until this mode ends manually or automatically.
Ability #2: Disguise
At the cost of 50% of Tactician's Toolkit charge, take the form of another survivor for unlimited amount of time. During this time you have no red stain and no terror radius , but Tactician's Toolkit will not recharge until manually ended. Exiting your disguise plays a sound cue before allowing you to cut down those you fooled.
🤷♂
-------------------------------------
Perk #1, Dead Ringer
After being stunned via any means (Pallet, Flashlight save etc), you are granted +6% haste and +35% interaction speed (Vault, Pallet break, gen kick etc), for 15 seconds. This has a 30 second cooldown
I think Dead Ringer would be better suited for a iridescent or maybe purple addon
Perk #2, Eternal Reward
After hooking a survivor the other survivors will not be alerted of the hooked survivor the only indicator being the icon on the HUD, when hooking the survivor you automaticly Disguise as the hooked survivor at the cost of Tactician's Toolkit being fully drained after hooking
@@toweroffrogs9470 It would work as an addon. But imagine the utility of that on other killers.
