How to "jump" charge your DEFECTIVE POWER TOOL BATTERY Tutorial Hack

Sorry this is not soap related but it's a helpful tip that I couldn't resist sharing!!! Love you all!
There's pretty much nothing worse than when you're about to start a project and your power tool battery charger starts blinking red. This means your battery is "defective" and no longer holds a charge. Normally, you'd drop $30-40 on a new battery but you don't necessarily have to!!
Try this trick first before heading to the store!

Just tried this because my weedwacker Lithium battery was reading defective on a brand new battery and a brand new charger i tried this and it absolutely worked! Thank you girlfriend!!!

It worked...thx. I was going to use a car battery charger just to wake up these 20v tool batteries that I got for 1 dollar each at the flea market. Not that I needed them...have 3 already but couldn't pass on this bargain. Thx...only one minute each with a fully charged 20v battery. Awesome.

You can also do this with a 9v battery if you don't have 2 batteries.

Aren't you supposed to hook the positive first?

I know that can be dangerous when jumping a car (if you do the negative first) but I'm not sure if that same rule applies here.

You dont need it to stay 20 sec or more for it to read, just do the spark think 2-3 times, and it should be working just fine, that's what I did to my stanley fatmax 18v batteries
