I've been seeing this in my world a lot.
The fear of really being seen.
Being Seen is an exercise in self-acceptance, and it's something that most of us struggle with.
We're too busy judging ourselves.
We don't like to see ourselves, because then we have to deal with the fact that we're not perfect and sometimes it's hard to accept that person!
So many of us are afraid of being seen by others too and even more so by ourselves. But here's the thing: if you don't see yourself in a mirror, how can you love yourself?
How can you accept yourself?
How can you appreciate yourself?
How can you believe in yourself?
You might not realize it now, but if you keep avoiding looking at yourself in the mirror-even just for a few minutes each day-you'll never be able to really know yourself or feel confident about who you are.
