Catherine O’Hara legit had me laughing the entire movie. Everyone really did a great job
I just want to say thank you for the sleeve videos. I am a minimalist who appreciates the value of physical media. It's an ongoing battle in my head but now I can store blu-rays in a convenient way for me because of your videos. Just wanted to say thanks. You got me started with physical media again.
We need Pee Wee on 4k! Tim Burton is one of my fav directors
And Ed Wood.
Big Top Pee Wee 4k is coming! Keep an eye out from Terror Vision/Graveface releasing
Why this was released in September is one life’s greatest mysteries.
I hope you're having a good week, Heath!
Don't forget TheCorpseBride, Frankenweenie and BigEyes ✊
I’m stoked now! Thanks for the review!
“Tim Burton’s back” YES!!! I totally feel you on that! You can tell this movie was made with devotion and love from how the cast talks about it to what happens on screen. I love it.
Isn't it weird that these folks had this level of good in there the whole time but it took thirty something years to bring it out again.
I never regarded you as a reviewer of recent movies. I saw a review here and there but the channel is much wider in its approach. I found your channel through collecting topics. I guess many do and these are the people who make up the majority of your viewers. But you will of course know that much better than I. But these videos introduce your audience to the not so popular historical topics. I am still here for the collection discussions and physical media but I much more enjoy your interviews and movie history stuff.
The most boring videos I never watch are the videos on new releases but I am sure many people love those. I just buy old DVDs;-)
Thanks for the review. Going to see this on Sunday. Also I want to say, I love your show. You're my favorite person to watch on RUclips. Very informative and highly entertaining. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy the movie.
I LOVED it! As an 11 year old watching the original in theaters with my mom, I have loved Beetlejuice, and I felt like they nailed it!!
As soon as a movie comes around like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice that I want to see, all of a sudden all of my friends start making excuses why they can't go to the movies with me, so I go alone, as usual.
You're seeing the same trend I'm seeing: people will make any excuse not to go to the movies. Whatever excuse they have, you can refute it and they'll come up with another one.
"It's too crowded with rude people!" Actually, you can go during the afternoon or evening and there are less people.
"Well, it's too expensive." No, you can see movies for $5 at most theaters all day on Tuesday. AMC A-list lets you see 12 movies a month for $20.
"They don't make good movies anymore!" Actually they make plenty of great films each year, but you're missing them because they're not being promoted.
"Well....I would just rather stay home." And there it is.
@@CerealAtMidnight ha-ha, right? Thank you.
Good to hear.
So glad to here your positive view on this and that its not totally redundant. Looking forward to going to see this one for some cinematic fun.
Thats great to hear hopefully Ill have time to go see it
It's great to hear that you had a good time; I will be interested to see this.
the movie was ok tbh it was too long had alot of plot lines that went nowhere that could have been cut out it was fun and very funny very creative great effects
Wouldn’t mind a Beetlejuice 3. Wouldn’t turn down a Burton/Keaton Batman 3 either. 🙏
Glad you decided watching it. There will always be exceptions to the rules :)
I I just voted for you to see it 🤣
Looks like you had a good afternoon.
After Cinecon was over did you happen to catch the Tim Burton Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on September 3? My next hotel was on Whitley so it was just down the street.
I was gone by then, but that sounds fun!
I was pretty heartsick and angry about a sequel being made. But I'm shocked to say I had a good time as well.
I'm Going to see it on Sunday. I was in Big Fish as an extra.
Third
Disappointing movie and very slow
First
The original BJ is one of the few movies l walked out on. This movie is another example of a sequel that no one asked for. Glad you enjoyed it, Heath, but life is too short to waste my time.
I didn't walk out on the original, but I never liked it as much as a lot of people. I've never had a desire to rewatch it, and never have, and so it's no surprise that I had no desire to see this sequel. HOWEVER, simply because we had nothing better to do and because my brother and his son were interested, I went to see it with them this past weekend - and I have to admit that I actually liked it. Color me surprised! I don't know if it's because I'm older and my tastes have changed, or maybe I'm just burned out on the usual kinds of movie fare we get these days and this one struck a nostalgia chord, or if it's just a better movie than the original, but whatever the reasons, I was pretty entertained by it. It's not a "masterpiece of cinema," but I enjoyed it. I even liked what Heath refers to as the "B plot" - more than he did, apparently. I didn't feel that anything was drawn out too long.
