  • There were spectacular scenes across the nation Monday as America experienced the historic solar eclipse. Crowds gathered on rooftops, city sidewalks, beaches and campsites as an estimated 160 million Americans witnessed the moon pass in front of the sun, turning day into night. NASA covered the eclipse with a livestream on the space agency's website, while many who went outside to witness the event for themselves also tried to capture it on their phones. #InsideEdition

      The reason they say “TAKE UR GLASSES OFF” is because it’s during totality, during totality you can take off ur glasses and see the corona (the suns atmosphere) around the moon. And if you keep ur glasses on, you’ll see nothing

    Difference between americans and the rest of the world watching the eclipse.... Americans whoop and holler like attention seeking children, while the rest of the world watches in quiet awe...!

    • @thesafehouse2863
      @thesafehouse2863 7 лет назад +10

      lockodonis The rest of the world couldn't watch because it was only over the United States and some part of the Pacific and Atlantic ocean. So yeah, we were cheering because this is the first time since 1908 that the whole U.S was covered. I reserve my right to be excited for something that only happens every so many years.

    I’m still astounded, that they could predict “exactly day” of eclipse correctly 38 years in advance. 1:22. but only give an approximate “30%” chance of it will rain tomorrow, from my meteorologist.
