Georgie just got a new job, he’s young and he’s taking advantage of it. Yes, him skipping out on a meal his mother made was bad, but he does good things as well like buying Missy that snack.
It’s not missy’s fault georgie got her a good thing, plus ducktales isn’t going to teach her anything bad. She’s the opposite of Sheldon.
Sheldon wants to go to college for his academic future and the only reason George is getting any stuff from his job is be because they want Sheldon to stay. He doesn’t know, he’s just getting gifts from everyone!

Totally missed here is that she went to all the trouble and work to plan, prepare for and execute a full meal for 6 people, nearly ready to put on the table. It's not that others wanted to do something else for dinner; it's that no one has any appreciation for her contribution to the family. Her efforts, strictly assigned to her by society, were completely ignored. If it were me, I would abdicate right then and there, fixing meals for myself only. And that would include only buying food for me. Everyone else would be on their own. Breakdown of the family? Yes, but the breakdown has already occurred in spite of her efforts to keep it together.
@Vinny Fuchs - If you do the thankless job right and the boss just throws it in the trash, the boss is wasting materials and paychecks. Not a profitable way to run a business/household. Meemaw is a foil to keep things interesting; that's all.
You seem like a sensitive snowflake but then again mothers are the biggest snowflake ever, always whining. Society told them that was their role and their only role. If they didn't do that, they were useless and pushed aside. All since the beginning of time. Fortunately, with reliable birth control and considerable equality with more to come, women have lots of choice today. I am hoping you are a young woman who has never and will never be trapped into any role you do not want. You just don't know how to appreciate that because you were never there in the past.

Shelden is just different; he is not intentionally selfish. The way he is annoys others, but he does not intend such, he's just inside his head that views the world differently. If you understand that and are mature, you wouldn't feel annoyed or that he is selfish.
