What I like about Dale is he is really a flawed human being. Can be very spiteful and mean. But his not actually a bad person. He knew he just took his anger out on Georgie but tried to make it right. I love the show as the characters are believable.
I take it as the hands could belong to the seed maker, the farmer, the harvester, the packager, the transporter, the store person, the bagging person, the person who brought it all home and the cook!
Has anyone thought about Mary's dinnertime "blessing," " bless this food and the hands that prepared it"? Since she cooks the meals, she is using religion for a humble brag.

@Jerald Baxter I have heard that in the prayer at meals since I was a child. I'm 67 yrs old. At that time the prayer was said by the man at the head of the table about the woman who prepared the meal. Men of my grandfather's age had no idea how to cook a meal.

@@gailchurch194 am from India, my grand father was in indian army , he drank rum till good age of 86 .and he could cook , rather he made his own meals even though everyone there to help him, old people are akward tbh

I was confused about how George lost his job, turns out it was actually Georgie, his older son. If you put George Jr or Georgie in the title we wouldn't be so confused
Everyone talks about Mary humble bragging, but for some it is more about asking for God to give his blessing upon them as they fulfill their job or what is required of them. I believe the latter is Mary's intention.
Missy does not look like a 5th grader! I thought she was way older rn.
It is the ultimately problem with using child actors. They eventually outgrow their roles. It is nothing short of a miracle the two kids can still pull off the roles now as each should have already hit puberty. In another year, the girl who plays Missy will be old enough to drive herself in to work. LOL
The problem the show has is that it is getting closer to George Sr. passing away and according to Sheldon on TBBT it was a very bad, dark time for the family. Nothing funny about that time period at all. So they either down play the death, end the show before this event happens, or delay it as long as possible while the children actors continue to grow up and look like adults playing young teenagers. Part of me wonders if the show will end with a season / series finale of George Sr. dying. Because I could literally still see the adult version of Sheldon Cooper not wanting to indulge in things as the family tries to cope with this new "normal". he simply stops telling the story because it goes from being a light hearted and some time embarrassing story for family members to just depressing and emotionally draining. Something Sheldon doesn't handle well at all.
I think they are all older but have to play a younger age....
@@superdave8248It's not a problem if their characters are allowed to age along with them. It will be a problem if a show runs for several years in real life and only a few years have passed in the timeline.
Mary is a royal pain in the ass. Her coddling is what created Sheldon. Her disinterest in her daughter is why Missy rebelled. Georgie turned out a good man because he marched to his own beat.

@Luke Skywalker nkt in all cases I was the youngest of 5 and the youngest of 2 ( my mom only had 2 girls with dad ) I was left behind by both in some important occasions of my life at one point or another. Like graduations of middle schools and high school only mom showed up ( parents) and both of them forgot to abojt my 15th birthday ( for us Hispanics is a big deal especially for us the girls) while my other sisters minus prabablynmy youngest ( dad side) didn't had one for many reasons a few I cn u demand at my current age though. It all depends on the family around you. Sometimes this is the case for middle child as well where both oldest and youngest get all the attention for 1 or another reason and the middle one gets stuck, like Missy at times.
@@lukeskywalker2913 honestly considering the fact that he would have likely complained that they we're doing something special for Missy that they didn't do for him leads me to believe that they definitely gave him a celebration as well
@@nicolasneal204 Georgie is much less likely to complain about a party than Sheldon. Even though Sheldon claims to not like parties, he would be mad if Missy got attention and he didn't. As it turned out, in the clip his selfishness appears once again when he asks why Missy gets a party in addition to him.
We have no reason to assume they didn’t 🤷🏼♀️ most parents do something for graduations, at that age it’s almost more for the parents than the kids anyways

@@sai_Indurthithat one comes off weird to me. Missy spent the entire time on the team being singled out. She got shit from other teams and even her own teammates and their parents for being the only girl. Mary making Missy her own separate girl trophy just seems like more singling out.
If she wanted one that was inclusive, why not find a trophy that was a bat and a baseball, no player?
@@sarcsmqueen I only watched first two season and I like Sheldon and Mary lot more than the rest. Of course, he may be annoying and naughty at some times, but Sheldon never lies to his mom, and he still goes to church despite being an atheist to make his mom happy unlike the other kids. It's hypocritical to say children can have favoritism but parents can't. Sheldon does all the taxes, and he never asked their parents to get a share of his money, I remember in some episode when George took Missy and Sheldon for twin test, missy demanded George to give her half of what he earned from test. Mary doesn't have much favoritism with their child as many in the comments claim, there are many instances where Mary scolded and punished Sheldon. When Sheldon cut the hair of Missy's doll Missy punched on his eyes leaving a mark on it, but still Mary didn't take any actions against Missy and said Sheldon deserves it, if I was in the place of Mary, I would have definitely punished Missy. If Mary disliked Missy than George does, why did she said if her parents get divorced, she will choose to live with mom. I had never found an instance where Mary complaining the family that no one is helping her in the household work, I am sure that if Mary were paid for such work elsewhere, she could potentially earn more than George.

Damned right he's right! One of the cruelest lessons in life I've learned was forgiving someone for something shitty they did to me to me was pointless. Shitty behaviour is in their nature and as soon as the circumstances suit them, they will do it again. It's best to chalk it up to experience and move on - without them!
Forgiveness is a powerful attribute of healing & it's necessary for mental, emotional, & spiritual freedom.

My school was K-8 and we had a graduation out of 8th grade in the 60s.
I was raised Lutheran. We were taught NOT to ask for anything for ourselves. Like when the kids prayed for something good to happen for then. Like Missy praying for some boy to like he4. Even Georgie and Sheldon asked for something. Even when Mary asked for a blessing for herself for cooking. We could ask God to bless our family members and ask for something for them, like recovering from something but not ourselves. They all ask for stuff while they pray so it's always brought up my lapsed religion. I follow the 10 Commandments and live by the golden rule but don't go to church anymore.
