      @SuperRon the Mk1 was renamed the Citi golf and continued production till 2008 with interior upgrades, and they all went fuel injection with a 1.4 liter 1.6 liter and a 1.8liter R

    Such a great video man. Learned so much. My only question. Can i run just the swirl pot set up you show? ( aluminum one with the pump ) . Can i use that to fuel my 1.8t mk1? Or should i run it how you ran it. Kinda got confused a little.

    • @SuperRon
      @SuperRon  Месяц назад +1

      You need to have a pump to fill up the swirl pot. On a caddy I had to add the external one shown, on a mk1 you can use a gti internal lift pump to fill it. Or the external one like I've shown. Thanks for watching 😁

    • @SimplicityFab

      @SuperRon  Месяц назад

      @@SimplicityFab yes, but they never put a lift pump in a caddy tank, hence why I've had to go the external route. I've used this exact setup on a mk2 using the factory lift pump.

    Would I need a similar fuel setup for my mk1 caddy sport g60. I've got a fuel cell on top of bed then pipe dropping down underneath to a 044 fuel pump then straight to injectors. Runs fine but should I really change it

    • @SuperRon
      @SuperRon  5 месяцев назад

      If it's a fuel cell it probably has a sump in the bottom for the pick up, and the tank is higher than the pump. This is more a problem with the standard slim wide tank. If you get problems when your tank is less than 1/4 full then this would be your solution.

    • @richie7714
      @richie7714 5 месяцев назад +1

      @SuperRon fuel cell has nothing inside bar sender. Its gravity fed down to pump then straight to injectors still need to fit a fuel filter somewhere too

    • @SuperRon
      @SuperRon  5 месяцев назад

      @richie7714 is the outlet on the top of the tank or the bottom? With the tank being above the pump it should be fine.

    • @richie7714
      @richie7714 5 месяцев назад +1

      @SuperRon outlet is on the bottom bro . I've had a couple hicups when I've been at full throttle but not sure if it's fuel starvation or something else

    • @SuperRon
      @SuperRon  5 месяцев назад

      @@richie7714 you should be ok with your setup, maybe get a fuel pressure gauge rigged up, the last thing you want is a g60 to go lean. It will only be in hard cornering/low fuel level you'll have problems if it is a fuel slosh problem.
