Inception star Joseph Gordon-Levitt stopped by the Rolling Stone offices yesterday to tell Peter Travers about his cynical teenage years ("When I looked like a little girl - so all you little girl cynics, grow up"), his open collaborative production company hitRECord.org and why it pays to be an optimist ("We might not all be doomed!"). Plus, find out how Inception gave him the courage to climb the walls on Saturday Night Live and watch him strum and sing along to his own original song.

The kind of smile that makes every part of you instantly feel like "why do I not feel this joyful and fantastic and content to be his entirely and ultimately ecstatic all the time?" kind of smile.....yes, I can't help it, he just makes me smile.

what makes him so attractive is he's just so...real. he's not like one of those glamorous stars, who are put on a pedestal. he's a star among the common people. he's charming. if you are under the influence of the "gordon-levitt effect", thumbs up.
Peter Travers is the only critic that likes just about every movie I like. He's grown to be the only one I listen too.
